(Legit question)

Nakakasali na nga ang nga transgender so sana i widen pa yung target candidates at hindi lang sa demographics ng pang “modelo” ang criteria

    1. Super agree ako diyan, girl! Let’s be real though, pageant’s main purpose is to objectify women (opinion ko lang). That is the reason why may mga requirements na ganyan. Tigilan niyo ako sa mga advocacies. Let’s be real...pagandahan at pa-fierce talaga ang purpose ng beauty pageants. It’s an avenue for women to be popular, to be rich. Nothing wrong with that. Kanya-kanya lang pag-hustle sa buhay.

Just try to look at most of our bibini winners active lang sila sa kanilang advocacy before or during pageant seasons but after that waley ka na maririnig sa kanila.

    4. Money is the main purpose.

Objectification of women indeed.

  11. Kung silat ka na at accomplished, its not smart na sumali pa sa mga contests na ang mga kalaban mo eh hindi kilala or lets say, not on the same level as you. Laki kasi ng mawawala sayo while your competitors have nothing to lose but everything to gain.

  12. I don’t understand why pageants are still a big deal in the Philippines. Let’s be honest. Even if these girls pretend that they want to further their advocacies etc, they’re still strutting around in bikinis on national television to get people to “listen”. There are classier and more acceptable ways of doing so. Let’s call a spade a spade here. This is objectification. This is all about these girls needing and wanting to be called sexy or beautiful. Nothing less, nothing more.

    1. Very true..at the end of the day pagandahan lang talaga.. nothing more nothing less..unless sa susunod na beaucon meron ng award na Ms Advocacy..:)

    3. 10:27 me too, I find it shallow, boring and superficial. I don’t get the fascination about it also.

    4. Yes! Glad I’m not the only Filipino with this kind of mindset. Hopefully we could focus more on Science and technology. Sports is better din; at least people will be active. But beauty pageants? Not so beneficial to the country, imo.

    5. True!
