    2. Of course she grew up in Australia that’s why she’s level headed

    3. Napakarighteous naman kasi ng ibang Christian. Most of them that I know ganyan... Laginh ang bukambibig... C"kasi si ganyan o ganito kaya iba mag-isip." Kami kasing mmga Christian eh ganito, ganyan."

One time may isang grupo ng Christian na kasamahan ko sa work, nagla-Lunch sila at puro praise the Lord ang usapan. After a few hours, nag-uusap sa table sa work, nagwiwish na na saktan yung isa naming kasama sa work.

Tapos may isa pa, iba daw kasi mag-isip silang mga Christian. Christian daw kasi.

    4. This is what being Miss Universe is all about. Being compassionate to all.
This is the very tesson Shamcey Supsup lost in the Miss Universe. She stuck to her moralistic belief which the Miss U judges found divisive.

    2. Exactly. I don't really understand how these seemingly religious peeps use exactly what they believe in to hate. Kung meron pls enlighten me. Thanks.

    3. You mean tunay na Katoliko...

      Delete
    4. Anon 5:16 hindi Catholic si Catriona. Evangelical Christian siya.

  5. I'm a Muslim and I've LGBT friends. Above all else, they're fellow humans, fellow creations. Just because they're different with their orientation and their ways are contrary to one's religious beliefs doesn't mean that you ostracize them and hate them. No. Accept them as they are, because you don't have the right to judge them. The only reason to shun anyone, even your closest kin, is if he/she chooses to live as a criminal.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Why only criminals? Sila nga po Yung dapat mas unawain natin, mas mahalin natin kasi sila yung karaniwang salat dun. Therefore, let's not limit showing love to one another, no excuses.

      Delete
    2. Thank you for using the word "accept" instead of "tolerance" which is usually what people do in dealing with lgbt issues.

      Delete
    3. 9:10 I said people who CHOSE to be criminals. I didn't say those who are forced to commit crimes.

      Delete
    4. Huh? 8:49 whats the difference?

      Delete

  6. I'm a Christian too and I'm gay. Jesus' most important commandment: Love God above all and love your neighbour as you love yourself. To be a Christian is to live like Jesus. To be more like Him.

    1. You know that in the bible, abomination ang LGBT? I think hindi ka real Christian. Maybe from another religion that claims to be a Christian but not living a REAL Christian.

      Delete
    2. 8:47 In Old Testament, men who claimed they are representatives of God said that homosexuality is abomination. In the New Testament,it's only Paul who talked about homosexuality as a sin. How about Jesus? Nothing. He's all about love. I'd rather focus on Jesus than become a fundamental holier-than-thou.

  11. Nakakainis yung comments na laging sinsabi yunh sodom and gomorah. The story is about sexual violence and rape, with the men of sodom wanting to rape the two visitors (who Lot protected). The cities were destroyed because of their sexual violence, not because of homosexuality. The bible also said , love your neighbors as yourself. The bible does not address homosexuality directly, and it is ridiculous that you use the bible (which is basically God’s love written) to spew hate. Live and let live. The LGBT want equal rights, hindi naman right to wed in the church ang hanap nila.

    1. Interesting how your brain operates. By her saying do not compromise you took it as hate? Wow! My husband disagrees with me, doesn’t mean he hates me. A parent that tells their kids what is right from wrong, does not equate to hate ...try to process things better and deeper

      Delete

Funny how your brain operates

      Delete
    4. See there you go! You defined the word compromise by your gold fish thinking. You concluded the statement as an expression of condemnation and taking away right? Geeez, .this world is so full of people who are so good in assuming and actually think they are facts. Truth is you do not know what the commenter exactly mean. As a believer of the gospel, I have a good idea what that means ..it could mean, don’t involve yourself for belief preservation,,, see this issue is heavy doctrinal and is never easy to process.

      Delete
    5. Anon 1:45 tama ka dyan. Sa Leviticus nila kinukuha ang mga tirada nila against the gays. Yet it is in the same book na bawal kumain ng pork at seafood. Bakit nila hindi sinusunod yun? Selective nga kasi sila.

      Delete

      Delete
  12. Cat, ikaw na talaga. You explained it so well!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Nakakainis lang yung “do not compromise.” How does loving everyone equally compromise one’s belief? 🙄

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Agree. And Cat is not compromising, she is actually strengthening her beliefs. While yung commenter na yun ang nagcocompromise ng paniniwala nya sa Diyos by being judgemental and hateful towards other people.

  14. If your religion asks you to hate and attack a group of persons just because your religion is not inclusive then you should start thinking if you are in the right religion. Your own faith and good deeds will bring you your salvation not your religion.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Actually good deeds can Not save you according to fundamentalist Christians. Only Catholics beleive in good deeds.
Your acceptance of Christ as your personal saviour is the only thing that will save you.

      Delete
    2. IAM a Catholic but attending Christian cell group. This is what I cannot understand why they always say acceptance of Christ when we as a Catholic have also accpted Christ just as how they accepted Him.isnt faith in Christ different from accepting Him as a savior? I'm getting lost most of the time coz it feels like there is no real talk with them.

      Delete
    3. Receiving Christ is a personal decision. Remember, being a Christian is not a religion but a personal relationship kaya kung alam mo naming tinanggap mo na siya, wag mo na intindihin yung sinasabi pa nila.

    1. Not all. Even our current Pope is inclusive and tries to correct the errors of the clergy. Maybe the conservative ones like the previous pope are still thinking backwards but as I see today, the Catholic Church is progressing and leaning towards inclusiveness.

      Delete
    2. actually the Catholic Church is more accepting of the LGBTQ community more than some Christians. Even Pope Francis addressed the issue regarding this.

  24. She gave the best answer. I can't understand why Christians should hate or look at non-hetero people negatively. Hello, we don't live in the middle ages anymore, how backward is that? God is love, period.

  30. Definitely the best Miss Philippines Universe. Before, I keep thinking ang well thought out ng answers nya and thought she must have been well trained in pageantry. After listening to her interviews I believe it's just really how she is and not pagent-borne.
    She really raised the bar

    2. What is she really supporting here? Is it for equality so they get equal job opportunities, is it equal human rights? Is it same sex marriage? Is it being admitted in a Christian church, wedding with Christian ceremony? I am a Christian myself and I have problem with the LGBT lifestyle, that doesn’t mean I hate them but I also agree they shouldn’t be treated any less of a human.

  45. Malamang Yan ang isasagot niya. Sino bang mga fans niya?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Love Cat! She speaks from the heart kaya sobrang sincere ng mga sagot. I was rolling my eyes when I went to her post. Ang daming self-righteous people. Your being straight does not automatically make you a good person. PH is what, like the only pre-dominantly Christian country in Asia? So these preachy people should just shush. I have seen a lot of LGBT+ people in Church choirs, attending Church mass and participating in Church activities, and a lot of them are truly good people. We are not God. We are not the ones to judge, nor do we talk on behalf of Him. Kaya all of these bible-thumping talks irritate me. Kailan pa kayo naging spokeperson ng Diyos?

    ReplyDelete
