    3. 2:49 init ng ulo mo. Relax :)

  2. Taking down everything was a bit harsh. Yung ibang videos naman, kasama nila ung artist, like JROA. Why remove everything? :(

    1. IPR issue kasi yun cyst. Original song writer ka naglapat ng music at hirap na hirap ka ipromote tapoa bumenta, syempre the credit should be from you. Cover artists would like to showcase their voice on outdoing the original artists. In this case, the coverband got more fame. Lets see if Agsunta could also produce songs that will be a sure hit like songs of December Ave. I like both bands pero medyo unfair lang sa original song writers to.

    2. I understand the IPR issue. What I'm saying is, may mga uploads sila nung songs na kasama ung original artist, so obviously may permission. Why take down those too?

    3. Hindi naman deleted. Ni-private lang nila. You would know it, kasi millions pa rin ang total views nila sa profile page nila.

  3. i hope this guy's profound explanation will influence the conflicting parties to look at things from each other's perspective

Nakakapagconcert pa sila even abroad. How come dito lang satin may issue na ganito?

    1. Simple lang. Those YouTubers ask for permission from record companies to cover their songs/music and they obtain licenses after paying the compulsory license fees to the record companies.

  6. Gawa kasi kayo sarili niyong kanta

    ReplyDelete
  8. So how dow popular cover bands like Boyce Avenue operate? Do they pay royalties to the original singers?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yes.. nagbabayad ang boyce avenue

      Delete
    2. Yes! And take note that they don’t do covers right after the song is released. So we can’t really compare Agsunta and Boyce Avenue. The latter has proper ethics as a musician and has duly paid their dues.

  9. mahilig kasi tayo sa gaya-gaya, from teleserye, music, fashion, structures, food at marami pang iba. tapos madalas hindi pa nagpapa-alam. minsan parang Xerox copy pa eh lol

  10. Wow! Very insightful! Wonderfully explained. Tama lang pala magalit ang December Avenue.

  11. Ang sarap basahin. Walang paligoy ligoy at may flow.

  13. Wow, Clem really is an intelligent man. I don't have any knowledge of this either but thru his posts alone, i guess i somehow understood what this is all about.

  14. anong song ba ang issue?

    1. Kinover ata ung song ng December Ave.

    2. Not just December Ave’s songs were covered by Agsunta. Madami actually even from other artists. Nadrag lang ang Dec Ave kasi Zel bautista(vocalist) tweeted few weeks back regarding copying people’s work. Which was picked up by fans and pin pointed it to Agsunta. And so on and so forth. Haha

Galing!

  16. wow ha! nakalimutan na ba ng Orange and Lemons na kinopya lang din nila ang melody ng pinakasikay nilanf kantang Pinoy Ako from The Care’s Chandelier ???! and they earned off a lot of profit from it, too? tsk tsk In case nakalimutan mo na Clem, ipapaalala ko lang. New Wave fans are still pissed at you for being s copycat so please, preach elsewhere.

    1. Kaya nga his post makes so much sense kasi nga he’s talking from experience

      Delete
    2. I was about to say the same thing. Did they pay royalties to The Care ?

      Delete
    3. Tama! New wave fan here akala nya siguro porke hindi lumabas commercially yung single wala nang makaka recognize ng original song

      Delete
    4. That's why his post was based on his personal experience.

    5. On a previous interview, back when they were a band (w Mcoy), na address na yan.

      Delete
    6. sorry but they never admitted that they copied the melody, they even acted offended when people called them out, so NO, as a new wave fan, you’re still not excused nor forgiven, Clem. wag magmalinis.

  17. Wow. This guy is intelligent.

  18. Actually nasolve na ito nang Youtube. Kaya ang cover songs dapat ang title “Song title by original singer cover by 2nd singer”.

DA is banking on cover songs even on their official gigs ng hindi nagbabayad ng copyright sa original creator.

      Delete
    2. I follow agsunta so I actually do like their work pero ippoint out ko lang na yung statement mona "mas madalas mas maganda kesa sa original" ang covers nila is just YOUR opinion, it's not a fact.

Moreover, mas mahirap di hamak magcompose at gumawa ng kanta from scratch kaysa magcover and just simply jazz it up. Hindi comparable.
Thats why may IPR na protection sa content creators, and agsunta is violating that. At the very least, highly unethical yung ginagawa nilang pagcover ng recently released songs kasi nagiging competitor sila ng content creator.

Pag gumawa ka ng painting then I photographed and photoshopped it a bit and then printed it in a different medium for much less cost than it took for you to paint it at binenta ko a month after mo irelease yung painting, ok lang sayo?

    3. 2:20 This "Ei kung ayaw ipakanta sa iba ang kanta nila wag nang magpublish or publish sa cassette tape. Singer tas ayaw ishare ang kanta." is third world mentality. Exactly the mindset of a pirate.

  19. 2:51 AGSUNTA* is banking... Sorry. Hahahaha

  20. Agsunta lang kase yung kumikita from Youtube. At saka parang kinokomtensya pa nila yung original bands/artist. BTW. Very well said Clem!

    ReplyDelete
  21. ok lng mag cover pero pag sumusweldo na kayo from youtube. mag bigay naman sana kayo dun sa original na gumawa ng kanta..laki ng pera nakukuha ng mga youtubers... at least 6 digits na sweldo? dba. pa cover2x lng. wag feeling pa victim.. gawa kayo ng original songs then market it sa mga followers nio..more people would appreciate that...
