Yung ganyan kagaling, siguro self study yan. Pag maraming time at dedicated talaga. Wow. "you can do anything you set your mind to." LOL.
ako I was just wondering if she gives credit to those people i mean monetary credits since diba thru them that's how she creates her amazing works & at the same time she sells them.
Astig mo, Solenn! :) Some people will just paint nice landscapes, fruits, flowers, birds, etc. Yung pa-safe paintings. Pero ikaw, iba ka! Galing mo! Umaapaw ang talento mo sa sining!
Now that's not a fair statement. As beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so is the subject in the eye of the artist. While I do commend Solenn's execution and appreciate her subject choice, it is not to my liking and something I don't enjoy looking at. Parang too....pa-woke? But again, that's me.
I do understand your extremely shallow point of view though; you probably don't paint / haven't tried painting, If you do, there's no way you'd say "pa-safe" ung mga landscapes, flowers, etc.
She should consider having an exhibit and might be better if she agrees that proceeds go to a good cause. Using her talents to bring awareness on issues she wants to address and to help as well.
she had exhibits na before, the latest being Kalsada which was very well-received. proceeds went to some charity or an organization din yata.
i super admire her di ko alam pano nya napagkakasya lahat in 24hrs. she has no PA, cooks for herself and Nico, drives herself to shoots, does her own make-up, exercises daily, runs her dog daily, paints and parties to top it. she had no househelp when she used to live in a condo but perhaps she has one now kasi sobrang laki ng house nila. she’s a superwoman
Uhmm that is not her job. Seriously, what kind of mindset you have just because she draw here inspirations from them doesnt mean she needs to give back something.
Does she sell prints of her paintings? I'm overseas and her work invokes emotions. She is very talented and so simple and chill IRL. Her beauty is just icing on the cake.
Grabe is there anything this woman can't do? Legit IT girl with pure talent hindi puro pasosyal kahit sosyal na. I love her since Survivor napaka fierce and daring ng babaeng to game na game sa lahat ng challenge walang kaarte arte.
11:10 and 5:18 mga memang walang Alam sa art. Observe kayo ibang artist mga teh Para Alam niyo na artist express their arts differently. Kung ang trademark MO ay street portrait or isda at babae then go. Art is about expression and style. It's not black and white. Pagka walang culture ninyo oi.
Unpopular opinion yata itong sakin, but whenever I see solenn's paintings, the first thing that comes to my mind is the word disjointed. Not solely pertaining to this one painting, pero in general ganun ang vibe ng mga gawa niya. Parang may sariling mundo yung bawat character and parang removed din sila from the scene they are placed in.
I don’t like her drawings. They look dirty and unfinished. The contrast between light and dark are so harsh and abrupt. It lacks sophistication. It looks amateurish.
Super talented ni soleen!
ReplyDeleteThis a true original artist. She deserves an international exhibit. Magaling ang skills niya and very original.
DeleteAt gamit na gamit ang Nationalistic card!
DeleteWhat i like avout solenn apart from her artistic side is her personality. Walang yabang sa katawan.
DeleteGANDA!!!! LEGIT TALENT!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if she attended a class or she is really just talented. Ang galing!
ReplyDeleteYung ganyan kagaling, siguro self study yan. DeleteIirc she studied and finished Fine Arts in college
Deleteako I was just wondering if she gives credit to those people i mean monetary credits since diba thru them that's how she creates her amazing works & at the same time she sells them.
DeleteI'm sure she is supporting some charities. Hindi lang niya pinagkakalat..
Delete7:38 monetary? It seems na picture un at ginawa nyang painting.
DeleteHats off! This is talent.
ReplyDeleteAng talented nya talaga! She's a great artist. Hindi yung halos same same lang yung pinipaint and my meaning behind her painting
ReplyDeleteEven national artists may mga trademark. Ung iba as in magkakamukha ang gawa.
DeleteAstig mo, Solenn! :) Some people will just paint nice landscapes, fruits, flowers, birds, etc. Yung pa-safe paintings. Pero ikaw, iba ka! Galing mo! Umaapaw ang talento mo sa sining!

Mary Grace Sulla, you gave me an impression that you can’t even sketch a decent flower. There’s no such thing as “pa safe” in the world of art.
DeleteAng super galing nya..
ReplyDeleteShe should consider having an exhibit and might be better if she agrees that proceeds go to a good cause. Using her talents to bring awareness on issues she wants to address and to help as well.
ReplyDeleteAng talented nya talaga for me sya tlga yun IT GIRL
Deleteshe had exhibits na before, the latest being Kalsada which was very well-received. proceeds went to some charity or an organization din yata.

1:20 I so agree!
Solenn is a superwoman
DeleteNow that's a painting!
ReplyDeletetrue and what I like is meron talaga syang video from the start
DeleteI know she does exhibits but does anyone here know if she sets a price for her paintings or thru auction/bidding ba to purchase it?
ReplyDeleteI know. I dream to buy 1 of her paintings.
DeleteInate ang talent ni Solenn sa pagpepaint. Galing!
ReplyDeleteGaling naman ni Solenn, Pinagpala!
ReplyDeleteDoes she give back to those people?
ReplyDeleteis that always necessary?
DeleteBakit naman kailangan yun? Do you expect that from all painters?
DeleteIs she required to?
DeleteUhmm that is not her job. Seriously, what kind of mindset you have just because she draw here inspirations from them doesnt mean she needs to give back something.
DeleteObligasyon ba niya?
DeleteAno yan talent fee
DeleteKung kasama ako sa painting, I would consider myself honored enough.
Deleteyan ang tunay na talento
ReplyDeleteShe is giving back by creating these works of art. Those people should be honored. What a dumb question 2:00.
ReplyDeleteDoes she sell prints of her paintings? I'm overseas and her work invokes emotions. She is very talented and so simple and chill IRL. Her beauty is just icing on the cake.
ReplyDeleteGrabe is there anything this woman can't do? Legit IT girl with pure talent hindi puro pasosyal kahit sosyal na. I love her since Survivor napaka fierce and daring ng babaeng to game na game sa lahat ng challenge walang kaarte arte.
ReplyDelete10:26 huwag kang nega. You don't have to put someone down para maangat ung taong gusto mo
Pareho silang talented. Period. Fantard ka lang.
DeleteThis is real talent. And she really paints, she videos to prove it.
ReplyDeleteKung mas bet mo ung kay solen go ahead and support her.
Kakasuka yung ugali mo.
DeletePaka nega neto!
DeleteTruth really hurts.11:10 was just expressing her opinion.
Delete11:10 and 5:18 mga memang walang Alam sa art. Observe kayo ibang artist mga teh Para Alam niyo na artist express their arts differently. Delete5:18 opinion nga ba tawag diyan? That's mocking someone's talent.
DeleteExpressing opinion can be done positively
DeleteGoogle mo works nina picasso, matisse, so you'd know art has different styles.
DeleteMagaling si solenn at maganda gawa nya pero i personally don't like her work. Kanya kanyang taste kasi yan
she's so damn talented!
ReplyDeleteAng galing niya! Love it!
ReplyDeleteUnpopular opinion yata itong sakin, but whenever I see solenn's paintings, the first thing that comes to my mind is the word disjointed. Not solely pertaining to this one painting, pero in general ganun ang vibe ng mga gawa niya. She can act, sing, dance, paint, do her own hair and makeup?!
ReplyDeleteI don’t like her drawings. They look dirty and unfinished. The contrast between light and dark are so harsh and abrupt. It lacks sophistication. It looks amateurish.
ReplyDeleteNot a good painting. The people look like they have vitiligo......very uneven colour contrast.
ReplyDeleteNope. Parang May skin condition ang manga tao. Very unsightly painting. Dapat marunong siya mag polish.
