  1. Question if this ball is for charity saan sila kukuha ng donations? From the guest? Sponsors? Since hinde naman siya televised. For me nga sa nakikita ko its not for charity its more on makilala mo how ur idols dress up...you know fashion show ng artista ng pilipinas. Pa bonggahan ba! Haha

      Delete
    2. correct, its not like may mga tumatawag then nag pledge ng 10k for Bantay Bata Foundation or ang mga celebs mismo dapat mag bigay pera para sa charity.

      Delete
    3. Fundraising event nga e. Usually per plate ang bayad or per table. Or may fee para maka rampa ka. Depends sa kung anong trip ng organizers.

      Delete

    5. Sponsors, pledges, fee per plate at iba pa... hay para naman ignorant that you don't know how fundraisers like that work... magbasa ka din minsan kasi, lawakan mo mundo mo

      Delete
    6. u answered ur own question...sponsors and endorsements dyan. magazine spread, digital magazine, designers and others yan ang mga nagpay to be part of the cause.

      Delete
    7. so how do you know that if you're not there? 12:11

      Delete
    8. @1232 i am not 12:11 but you don't have to be there to know that those mentioned are just some of the ways to raise funds. and as seeing that you weren't there either, another way they could've raised funds is by doing a silent auction. i'm not saying that they actually had a silent auction, i'm just saying that it's another possible option of raising funds.

    9. Kaya nagugulo ang mundo dami pakialamero. So sa december walang mag christmas party ha. Dami gutom jan. Juicecolored.

      Delete
    12. I think if you attend the ball you have to pay per plate and that's your donation.

What a hypocrite! Inggit lng kau kc hindi kau ang na sa lugar nila.wala kaung opportunity na mg attend ng ball.if u have a chance, di kau attend instead u give the gown money to the poor? Will you ever do that?

      Delete
    15. I get his point.there's a certain degree of hypocrisy here..PR,marketing hype at work here in the guise of a charity event

      Delete

      Delete
    17. Cguro next time pwede nila invite artists from other networks. Im sure madameng aattend since this is a fund raising event.

      Delete
    19. 6:15 ikaw ang tard! Tard ng GMA porket wala silang Ball for fund raising like this. Lawakan isip wag puro network war!

    20. ABSCBN is a private firm in the show business industry. they can do whatever they want with their employees and their money. it is part of their business to ensure their stars stay relevant and in the news.

#batobatosalangit

  2. Sympre earnings parin nv abs cbn parin yan no.. may makukuha ang abs na cut diyan..hello? Business is business yan. As if.100% mapupunta sa foundation. Dami na kaya funds ng bantay bata. Maiintidihan ko pa if the funds.will.go sa mga nasalanta ng bagyo you kmow outside abs na walang connection.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. naiintidihan mo ba yung concept ng event for a cause? kaya nga nila ginawa yung event para sa bantay bata tapos kukuhanan ng abscbn ng cut?! relaunching ng bantay bata village yan so mas malaking funds din ang kailangan to sustain the village. and abscbn does plenty enough to help yung mga nagiging biktima ng ibat ibang sakuna

      Delete
    2. 100% will go to bantay bata at kahit hindi pa yan for a cause and for fun lang pera pa rin naman nila yan hindi sila obligadong mag bigay it's a private event ang gobyerno ang obligahin mo. For abs cbn it's their choice kung gusto nilang mag bigay or hindi atleast nga nakakatulong sila sa ginawa nila dami niyo pang demands as if obligado ang abs cbn na magbigay it's all or nothing. Fundraising nila yan mas marunong pa kayo sakanila eh edi kayo na lang kaya mag fundraising since nagmamarunong kayo

  3. Hopefully yung gowns and glam team are free of service (yeah wishful thinking) if you think that a gown costs a million or so, then ang donation ay 50K....

    ReplyDelete

    1. Korek.

      Delete
    2. so who's donating? is it per artist? marami din naman ang invited na mga starlets, ano ang pang donate ng starlets? parang kung big name stars 50k , starlets 2K depende sa kinang hahahaha.

      Delete

      Delete
    5. at the end of the day pera pa rin nila yan hindi yan pera ng bayan hindi sila obligadong magbigay ng 1 million or even 50k they have a choice magpasalamat na lang kayo sa naitulong nila sa mga bata dami niyo pang demands as if pera niyo yan it's all or nothing kung kayo na lang kaya mag donate ibenta niyo properties niyo ang gagaling niyo eh wala din naman kayong mga naitulong pero ang lakas ng loob niyong questionin ang paraan nila ng pagtulong

      Delete
    6. my gehd andaming holier than thou dito. oncd a year lang naman ginagawa ng abs cbn yan hindi araw araw. bat b nakikialam sa gagastusin? pera nyo ba yan?

      Delete
    7. cyempre mas mahal ang gastos sa pagpapaganda. millionssss for that tapos donations mga 10k-50k lang

      Delete
    8. Isipin nyo nlng parang ganito, christmas party sa kumpanya nyo tapos sympre d nmn iisponosoran ung damit mo kundi sarili mong gastos mag effort ka ng kaunti. ganun lang

      Delete
    9. I thought of that too!

Its a private event and hindi yan pera ng bayan..
Tulad nating regular na mamamayan, karapatan nating gawin ano mang nais natin sa sarili natin pera.

  5. and in these dak times of murder and hunger, who really needs a foul mouthed director like you?

    1. You said it. Hunger. If their outfits are simpler, they can donate a bigger sum to help combat hunger. How many hungry kids can Vice's outfit feed. The cape alone can feed a lot of hungry kids. What if she went without the cape?

  7. Paano naging "fund raising event" yun?

    2. Paano naman kami matutuwa dun? Hehe plus na yan na napapanood yang kaartehan ng mga artista kaya...nakakatuwa for entertainment... yaman din lang na ginagawa nila yan taon taon dba maganda na yung binigyan nila ng saysay kaartehan nila... coz like it or not ang mga tao nag aantay tlaga ng star magic ball..

      Delete
    3. hindi ko alam kung sincere ba yang tanong mo o sarcastic ka. pero mukhang hindi ka sanay sa iba't ibang ways ng fundraising. mukhang ang alam mo lang eh yung outright na nanghihingi ng pera para makapagraise ng funds. sa ad placements pa lang nila for that ball more than 3 million na ang kita. yung gastos sa gowns eh sariling gastos ng mga artista yan, kasi sa contracts nila kasama na sa sweldo at bayad nila ang budget nila for appearances such as the ball. yung ibang personalities na nandon sa ball nagdonate para maka-attend. yan yung isang way to raise the funds. gets mo na?

      Delete
    4. yung kung ano ang isuot nila sa ball is not relevant kasi yung iba hiram lang ang gowns sa fashion designers so they have x deal. But my point is hindi naman natin nakikita na may donate yung mga artista. We don't see that.

Karamihan, per show or project.... Kung walang show, walang sweldo...

      Delete
    8. @1:23, hindi sila lahat exclusive artists pero lahat sila may contracts pa rin kahit na per project ang ginagawa nila kasi sa contracts reflected kung magkano ang sweldo nila. alanganin namang verbal lang di ba? and ako i got my info from someone who actually worked at abscbn. hindi ko sinabing bayad ang appearance nila, magbackread ka. ang sinabi ko, sa contract at bayad sa kanila, kasama na ang budget para sa gastos for appearances nila i.e. gowns, mua, stylist. yung sinasabi mong walang show, walang sweldo totoo din yun kaya nga di ba halata naman kung sino yung may funds for designer gowns? so kung wala kang show hindi mo afford magbayad kina mark bumgarner, jun escario, etc.

      Delete
    9. so oobligahin mong mag donate ang mga artista sa bantay bata? pera pa rin nila yan kung walang ball wala ding mangyayaring donation for bantay bata gets? kasi hindi naman magbibigay lahat yan sa bantay bata kaya nga sila pinagsamasama sa iisang event for a cause para mag fundraising para mas maraming ma donate na pera for bantay bata kasi kung individual yan at walang ball yung mga artista may iba't ibang chosen charities na matagal na nilang ginagawa hindi lang nila brinobroadcast while itong abs cbn ball is solely for bantay bata at kahit wala pa yang abs cbn nagdodonate naman na talaga mga artista sa kanya kanya nilang chosen charities ang maganda sa abs cbn ball all proceeds will go to bantay bata from their sponsors at mga artista

      Delete
    10. may bayad siguro per plate yan. and they have donations. k maliit o malaki wala ka nang paki but im sure these stars know how to be charitable and at the same time enjoy.

      Delete
    11. Simplehan lang natin... this is how showbiz industry works. So its doing fundraising by capitalizing/banking on publicity. Hence, generating ad revenues thru online platforms, traditional media, etc. At the end of the day, its still for a good cause. We got got entertained, nagsaya sila, nagsaya tayo, nakatulong pa sila. Maraming pang paraan to raise funds... for all we know most of these celebs has their own ways of helping naman. Good vibes na lang.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I have no objections to the Abscbn ball.

      Delete
    2. @1:07 but you're not implying naman that those present at the ball are willfully ignorant of the plight of the filipinos?

      Delete
    3. Plight of the Filipinos talaga te? Wag mo namang lahatin, lol!

      Delete
    4. 1:07 personally speaking, hindi ngayon pinakahirap ang pamilya namin, nung panahon ni Cory halos wala na kaming makain pero it was not the government's fault dahil nung nagsikap kaming makaahon napabuti naman ang sitwasyon namin up to now.

      Delete
    5. 2:01 some of the attendees there are pretty vocal kung gano din kahirap buhay ngayon. Hindi lahat sila immune. And some of the wealthier attendees din are conaistent charity supporters.

      Delete
  9. In this modern time, kailangan maging creative para makapag-raise ng funds. It's hitting plenty of birds with one stone: fundraiser and awareness for Bantay Bata 163, publicity and statement for ABS-CBN, exposure for the celebrities, reason for these celebrities-employees to party.

    2. @11:43 yes his works are socially relevant and profound, one of my personal favorites is his work kisapmata. but i think that his comment regarding the ball is totally off base. how can he compare the event to an imelda marcos event? is it because the ball looks glamorous? has he forgotten that the family who owns abscbn was victimized by marcos? and how did he come to the conclusion that the children supported by banta bata were exploited for the event? hindi lang naman abscbn ang may ganyang mga events, mas publicized lang kasi nga nasa showbiz sila. so dahil ba third world ang pilipinas wala nang pwedeng magparty? and napakaraming artista ng abscbn ang sumusuporta sa iba't-ibang charities on their own so hindi naman siguro masama na one night out of the whole year eh magparty sila for a cause. lalo na dahil wala naman silang pinagnanakawan ng pinanggagastos para sa mga party nila

      Delete

And to be fair, madami din silang ongoing projects to help those in need.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Parang ewan lang logic nito. Sino ba to?

Instead, I hone my skills and earn more, help my family and others para hindi pabigat sa iba. Wag puro reklamo. Take your future in your hands not in anybody's hands esp the govt.

Wala bang bigas?

    2. 12:18 how do you know? by pure speculation? you have to realize the beauty of this kind of events, big or small, all donations count, and the best part, disadvantaged kids get the support they truly need and deserve.

go abs-cbn, more power to you and your philantrophy!

Let’s not forget the yearly SONA which has become a circus of some sort. Yan ang tirahin mo. These artists work their butt out to earn decently & entertain us- our only respite from your so called ‘murder & hunger’ which are basic issues that should be addressed by
    our corrupt officials. #damnlogic

ABS CBN Ball is just like any other company gatherings, kaibahan lang, they are the biggest network kaya all eyes on them. For sure they did raised a good amount of money from all these and donations from the artists.

  63. Ay dahil dark times and hunger yung mga afford magsaya na hindi naman pera ng bayan ang ginagamit eh bawal na pala magpaganda, magsuot ng mga designer gowns, makiparty sa mga friends ONCE A YEAR. They all work hard, BIG TAXPAYERS!

And this ball also gave (additional) jobs sa mga taong parte ng ganyang industriya.

Actually yung Ball, it's a private event, held by a private company and as far as I know, private company uses their own money to fund the event which in the first place walang karapatan mag comment si Direk because di yun pera ng government. Second of all, what I meant with SONA is the policiticians dressed themselves too, and when I say dressed, they spend as much how these celebrities spend on their gowns too with the money that only God knows where they got nd by that said, pwede sha kumuda don kasi there's a probability na half of his task is used to fund SONA. Lastly, may it for publicity or whatsoever, atleast their raising money for the children. May it millions or thousands but again, every peso counts.

Bonus na nagdonate sila at nakatulong sa Bantay Bata. For sure, these artists donate rin sa charity kahit hindi ball, some televised, some in private lang.

    ReplyDelete
  81. pag samasamahin mo ang mga ginastos nila sa ball na yan mas 1/4 lang yan sa na raised nila na pera para sa bantay bata.... i think this is another scheme. pasabog pero tax deducted na naman kaya di rin ma tax ng tama ang abs cbn.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Sanay kasi ang mga Pilipino ng limos. Ang gusto qy ibibigay na lang iyong pera without working for it.

Bibili ka ng bingo card o raffle ticket in exchange you have the chance to enjoy ,play and win prizes.
