Tweet Scoop: Risa Hontiveros' Stand on Same Sex Marriage

92 comments:

Let's take it one step at a time. It has a better chance of passing.

    1. Di pa rin tama ang same sex marriage.

God created marriage for a man and a woman to be united. Period.

    2. She has a team who researches what the best advocacy para mapagusapan cya. A few years back nagadvocacy din cya about cooperatives, wala rin nangyari. Papansin lang. Eh ngayon, election eh, at ngayon she's running for senator kaya kelangan nya gumawa ng ingay para makakuha ng votes.

    3. God created marriage for man and woman.

Let us not alter what he has made.

    4. Anon 1:42 - what an ignorant. God, in the first place, did not create marriage.

    6. Not everyone believes in the Bible. Sorry, but you can't force your belief on mine. Yes to same-sex marriage! Yes to liberty and freedom to choose!

    7. God has joined Adam and Eve. In effect, He married them and it was in Genesis that He said "what God had joined, no man can separate. At saka yung song of songs sa Bible, it talks about a wedding.

    14. "WAKE UP PEOPLE! Don't limit your seach for the TRUTH on ONE BOOK!" = you're so right. Freedom to choose, Choosing what is good and right is not solely based on single religion/belief

    15. DEFINITELY AGREE...yes the bible is what christians claim as the book of truth, but it doesnt mean that every truth is based on it! remember faith is a subjective matter..one cannot dispute other people's faith or stand in religion. remember that the bible was written by various disciplines and learned men, "claiming" that they were guided by the holy spirit, which has no physical/tangible evidence, thus making it very hard to prove if its indeed real or just fiction.

whats important is to just respect each other's faith...

      Delete
    16. respect each other's faith and belief nlng mga teh...

    1. What she meant by "second-class relationships" is that even Congress approves same-sex marriage (like, this is REALLY a long shot), people will still view same-sex couples as "second-class"/people will insult them thus the need to pass an anti-discrimination law first so that they cannot be subject to humiliation just because they are a same-sex couple.

    1. The former is already a law, dear! RH Law na siya.

Last year pa! Sobrang huli ka na sa balita!

      Delete
    3. ay ateng saang kweba ka ba nagtago at hindi mo alam na RH LAW na ang tawag dun hindi na RH BILL. so malamang approved and signed na yun by the president.

      Delete

      Delete
    5. 2:45 "Blaim" talaga te no? Baka "blame". Oh sya, relax ka lang padre...hihihihi! If people don't wanna go out of the Church, you can't kick them out.

Let's just say, it's a convenient move. We get to become Catholics in our own spiritual, personal way without the chiding of misogynistic priests who think they are holier than thou.

      Delete

      Delete
On LGBT issue, the church doesn't condemn them but they are called to chastity.

  5. I have nothing against lgtb. Just my 2 cents.

    6. there is nothing wrong to correct other people grammar lapses as long as the right intention is there...which is to help others be better and learn and NOT TO HUMILIATE...

Also its how the recepient takes it, we may have the right intention to correct them but if they perceive it as something to offend them or to humiliate them then its not our problem anymore...

i myself is open to criticisms because i know that with criticism i'll be aware of my mistakes and i will learn from it...

kung ayaw nyong mag pa correct kayu din ang kawawa, kasi you'll never improve as a person, you'll be stuck in that same spot

    9. marami kasing moral dito. kaya wag niyong kwestiyonin ang paniniwala nila. . What is popular is not always right and what is right is not always popular. I cannot in my religious conscious reject what God calls an abomination. A gay person has the same rights a everybody else when it comes to marriage. But to pervert the institution that helps perpetuate a healthy society is wrong. If allowed, where does it end? Also, somethings are true whether you believe them or not. There is an absolute truth, and there is a right and a wrong.

    13. Anon 01:10Am - do you know where the catholicism started? correct me if i'm wrong, as far as i recall, it started from SPAIN and spread acroos europe and it's colonies.

Now, do you know that spain legalizes same sex marriage?! its very rampant in spain, why? because the church and the state are perfectly separated in their respective domain.

  16. I lke her; matapang! sana lang hindi sya magbago kapag nasa pwesto na sya. I'm not against LGTB community pero gaya nga ng sabi ng iba dito unahin muna ang Divorce Bill, Anti Discrimination Bill, bago yang same-sex marriage.

  18. Magaling ang mga advisers nya. Alam nila what button to hit para makakuha ng suporta. The fact that LGBT issues are hot items lately, syempre, isama na yan sa mga "agenda" nila. Hays...what politicians can do for that much needed vote. Pinoys, vote wisely. Isip isip din pag may time.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Paano nya gagamitin e alam naman niya siguro na minority lang ang gays, and mas maraming against sa bill na yan kesa sa mga pabor. 20. Same Sex Marriage DOESNT need the validation of the Church nor any religion. What the LGBTQ community wanted is acceptance and Recognition by Law, to have the Same equal rights And priviledges as of the heterosexual union ...by Law.

Kaya ganyan ang statement niya. Who Would want To be considered as a second-class citizen, women should relate To This, almost a few decades ago women Were still Treated as Such...

    1. The gay movement, whether we acknowledge it or not, is not a civil rights movement, not even a sexual liberation movement, but a moral revolution aimed at changing people's view of homosexuality.

      Delete
    2. Calling something marriage does not make it marriage. Marriage is acovenant between a man and a woman which is by its nature ordered toward the procreation.
The promoters of same-sex “marriage” propose the union between two men or two women. This denies the self-evident biological, physiological, and psychological differences between men and women which find their complementarity in marriage. It also denies the specific primary purpose of marriage: the perpetuation of the human race and the raising of children.

  27. I definitely wont be voting for you. I feel that there is one purpose of marriage and that is to create a family, not to bring two people together or any other reason proposed by the Pro Gay marriage crowd. Moreover, the only way for a gay parent to create a family is through the process of adoption, which is not in the best interest of children; thus, gay marriage is wrong.

  28. I beg to disagree. It Turns a Moral Wrong into a Civil Right. It Does Not Create a Family but a Naturally Sterile Union.
