    2. How much did she get paid for posting this kaya?

    2. It's not who she is, it's what she says that matters. To be fair, she makes sense sa ibang sinasabi nya, but the way she says them is so harsh and cheap. Lalo lang nya ginalit ang mga nurses and readers of her litany.

Ms Araza, you just wasted the opportunity to be heard. Sorry.

    3. May point sya but can the government give jobs for nurses? Hay!! ^ChuverBoi

    4. Maybe it's true na some nurses took up nursing for the money. BUT WTF. Tumaas ang GDP ng Pilipinas over the years thanks to OFWs (mostly nurses and caregivers and domestic helpers). So to this girl, hello? Don't go saying that selfish ang mga nag-aabroad dahil can you just imagine what they have to give up, including the expensive tax they have to pay, for the sake of giving their families better lives that obviously this corrupt government cannot give!

      Delete
ANONG SELFISH DUN? E sinakripisyo nga nila na hindi makita mga anak nilang lumaki kasi kailangan nilang kumita...not for themselves but for their families.

If I know, bitter lang yan... O BAKA SI MRS. VILLAR SYA! HA! lels

    6. She has a point naman. Mrs. Villar apologized and we all should move on. I also understand how most of the nurses reacted. Syempre sa hirap ng ginagawa nila, they felt that they were belittled sa statement ni mrs. Villar. At least she admitted her mistake, maybe she was caught off guard nung tinanong sya. May ibang senador jan lantaran na ang pagkakamali di pa makapag apologize. Some of you may think na supporter ako ni mrs. Villar, pero hindi dahil till now I dunno if i should vote her or not.

      Delete

      Delete
    8. Ang tama sa sinabi ni AA, most nurses studied to become nurses, not mainly to serve, but to earn more. Lets face it...nung time na nagka issue c mrs. Villar re: nursing schools, ito yung time na lahat gusto maging nurse, pati doctor, para makapagibang bansa, kc in demand. Nor for service to the patients, but for greener pastures :-)

  11. Paano naman babalik dito yong nasa abroad to serve their country kung pagdating dito wala din namang trabaho? Ilang RN ba ngayon ang unemployed or working not as nurses kundi call center agents? Tapos nanawagan siyang umuwi sila dito? For what? Putak ng putak di naman nag.iisip..:)

    4. Anon 2:11 e ano ba dapat? Kya ka nga ngtatarabaho pra sa sweldo that's the reality. I've worked in the Philippines for so many years naturingan kang professional ni Hindi ka makabili ng sarili mong bahay which is a basic need, god forbid if you have kids dahil siguradong you won't be able to send them to a decent school dahil sa sobrang liit ng sweldo

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Mas mataas pa sa ibang bansa. Mababa pa iyang sa middle east. Like Australia aabot ng 300k a month. And sa RN pa lang iyon ha. Wala pang specialization iyon. If ure a nurse practitioner or nurse anesthesist, it could double or triple.

  14. Well I agree with her. Kung yun talaga ang dream nila in life sana yung pinang tuition nila na akala nila mababawi in a few short years pinang pamasahe nalang papunta sa Africa para maging missionary. O diba gusto niyo tumulong sa tao? Hindi pera ang habol? Di ko sinasabi na it was a st*pid decision to become a nurse.

    1. Sino bang nag-aral para hindi kumita at yumaman in the future?

    2. Nursing is a passion. Lisensya mo at kalayaan mo nakataya dun.

    3. I agree.. I remember my aunty before na pinipilit pakuha ng nurse ang pinsan ko kase booming nga.. tas pati ako pinapa shift.. sinusulsulan mama ko.. buti di ako nakinig.. where is my cousin now, and where am I now?. I have nothing against nursing professions.. I know what Mrs. Villar had said added salt to your wound.. pero sana sa mga upcoming High school graduates, wag po ka'yo kumuha ng nursing just because you thought na makakapag abroad ka'yo.. ang pagpili po ng course is like a vocation.. If it's in your blood to save lives, then go for it..

      Delete
After 1st year college, umayaw na then nagshift siya to IT. My point is di mo tatapusin ang kursong ayaw mo kasi passion iyan eh.

    5. Though it's true that most of the nurses choose nuraing as their choosen career, they are just practical. What is important is their capability to perform not only competently but profeciently. These need to start when the person enrol to the said course, a high quality of education is what they need which ms. Villar, et al tried to degregade. Thanks to the time constraint, she gave an honest answer

      Delete
Tama ba, Mrs. Villar?

      Delete
    7. Do you think doctors, lawyers and politician chose their respective fields dahil gusto nilang tumulong sa tao? Why single out nurses? When IT was at peak ngboom ang computer science and related courses, ganun talaga un mataas ang demand kya mrami ang kumukuha. The issue here is regulation of nursing schools so we can provide high quality effiecient nurses na maipagmamalaki ntin

      Delete
    8. Tama ka anon 1:15 sapol na sapol mo.

      Delete

    10. yes, nursing is passion. I've had students before who were forced to take it dahil nga in demand s abroad. i tell them first day of school, kng pinilit lnga kayo, think about it, give it time, after a sem kng d tlga to para s nyo, then tell ur family d truth, be honest, rather than waste tym, money HARD WORK. some took my advice shifted to a dffrent course, ung iba nakasurvive at nkatapos and they told me, they learned to love the profession.

    2. "kasi itong ating mga nurses eh gusto LANG nila maging "room" nurse.
    3. "sa Amerika and sa other countries anu lang sila yung mag aalaga."

Mag-isip muna bago mangaral. Pero bibigyan kita ng 1 point about apology. 26. I have watched the interview. To which agree naman si Mrs Villar.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Very well said.. But with the time alloted for mrs villar, na shortcut ung words nya at nagmukhang hindi maganda pakinggan

      Delete
Para naman maging qualified to take the licensure exam, kailangan natapos mo ang 4 year BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) course.

      Delete
    3. RN = Room Nurse kay Mrs. Villar

      Delete
Nurses are the ones who give direct care to the patient. They should know how to assess the patient so that they can inform the doctor about it. Minsan, kailangan mong magbigay ng intervention bago dumating ang doctor if the situation calls for it.

      Delete
    5. There is no such thing as a room nurse. A nurse is a BSN graduate who passed the board exam (from a particular country). There are caregiver courses available as a diploma but they are never called nurses.

      Delete

      Delete
    7. Correct ka jan, Anon 3:30 AM!

And to Mrs Villar, no need to take a Nursing course kung matalo ka, just educate yourself properly kung anong gnagawa nila.

Miss, I am not a nurse pero I know a lot of nurses and alam ko ung sacrifices nila. Kapal mo!

      Delete
    8. Ung room nurse ate is ing private nurse n tinutukoy nya... Option for other nurses n wala maxado experience sa hospital or ung mga nurses n hirap mkpg apply in hospital because of competition..... Pero kahit room nurse or private nurse , dapat skilled dn ung nurse, lalo n kung hnd stAble ung inaalagaan nya..invalid for example, dpt competent ung nurse kc she's working most of the time independently. So i cannot find any sense sa sinasabi n villar abt room nurse. To think n hnd maxadong need ang higher training sa mga nurses is STUPID, lalo n kung mag aabroad cla, pangalan ng bansa natin ang dala nila. Kaya nga bilib ang other country sa pinoy nurses its because of the values and competency nila , and of course such values originates and have been molded in schools.

If there is enough work with pay commensurate to the cost of living in their home country I am pretty sure they wouldn't want to leave their families and break their backs elsewhere.

THEY STILL HAVE TO UNDERGO TRAININGS AND SEVERAL COURSE to be qualified as a nurse a bansa nla PLUS KUKUHA AGAIN NG EXAM NLA.. THIS SIMPLY SHOWS NA KAHIT IN DEMAND ANG MGA FILIPINO NURSES ABROAD, STILL HINDI CLA SATISFIED SA CREDENTIALS AND TRAINING EXPERIENCE NG ISANG NURSE DITO SA BANSA NATIN.. NPAKA CONTRARY SA STATEMENT NI VILLAR NA HNDI NA KELANGAN GANUN KAGALING MGA NURSES DITO..IMBES NA I UPLIFT NYA ANG QUALITY NG EDUCATION SA BANSA.. GUSTO NYA PA ATANG I DOWNGRADE KASI DW NKA INVEST NA ANG MGA MAY- ARI NG NURSING SCHOOL.. HNDI NA AKO MGTATAKA KASI SA DAMI NG PERA NG MGA VILLAR ITS NO SURPRISE KUNG STOCKHOLDER CLA OF MOST OF NURSING SCHOOLS SA PINAS..

    3. Yung ibang nurses dito nagiging caregiver sa ibang bansa dahil di na sila nagtatake ng licensure exam (e.g. NCLEX, HAAD, CGFNs, etc.) Na requirement ng isang bansa to be a registered nurse.

    4. While its true na maraming RN who can't practice as RN & its true they work as caregivers because they needed to pass the exam from the regulating body here in Ontario (CNO)in order for them to practice, the question is why are they not competent enough to pass the exam from Colleges of Nurses of Ontario to obtain the license to practice as RN's? at kung makapasa man they cannot practice as RN's but practice as RPN's (Registered Practical Nurse - a 2 years course nursing in Ontario)BECAUSE of the poor quality of education they recieved from "fly by night schools" Mrs. Villar supported not to close just because of money spent & invested to build this fly by night schools & "hindi naman dapat magaling ang nurses dahil sila ay ROOM NURSE lang". Sino ngayon ang dapat sisihin kung bakit poorly educated in practice/skill ang mga new graduates na nurses from the schools supported by Villar?

  52. OFW ako and my sister is a nurse, kami pa ang nag babayad sa hospitals para lang makapag volunteer siya. WHO WANTS THAT??? na after mong mag-aral ng Nursing wala kang makuhang trabaho! Its not a choice na nag aboard kami, ita a NECESSITY para mabuhay ng maayos. Everyday thousands of people nag babayad sa POEA nun. Yun pa lang yun ha! wala pa yung monthyl remittance namin. IKAW ANONG NATULONG MO SA PINAS, TANONG LANG?

    ReplyDelete
  53. Angeline Araza, i dont get it why you defend MRs Villar way too much when she insulted all NURSES per se, not just nurses who are working abroad!!! I am a nurse and hell yeah, i have learned much in school and enjoying the fruits of my labor working abroad. WE NURSES abroad have given so much by sending remittances $$$$ ( incase you dont have any idea, ask and read facts! before you keep fueling your mouth). Saying sorry is easy for her but the damage has been done. You CANNOT in any way ease the HURT that we FELT when she say those words out loud. So before you even say that we dont care abt our country, well look at yourself first and let me know if you have contributed ANYTHING to make Philippines a better place for all.

  55. hay nako i wouldve continued reading her sentiment but i stopped when i got to the part where she said "atleast itong si mrs villar nag s-share ng money sa ibang tao"

eh isa ka parin palang mukang pera kung sino ka mang angeline araza ka. how sure are you that the money that this lady is sharing comes directly from her own funds? pera din ng taong bayan yan at since may katungkulan na sya, dapat lang na tumulong sya because they are given funds for that na galing sa tax na binabayaran ng mga tao.

being confined in the hospital so many times, i applaud nurses coz they might intend to to go abroad but atleast filipino nurses are good with what they do. i dont care if they became a nurse just to get out of this country coz as long as they are doing their job well, thats more than enough for people to appreciate them.

eh anong ginawa nyang echoserang frog na cynthia villar na yan? hirap na hirap na nga ang mga nurses natin (nandito man or sa abroad) pinamuka pa niya sakanila that they are unappreciated.

alam mo angeline araza maswerte ka kasi kahit na ganyan ka im sure kung magkasakit ka may nurse na tutulong na gamutin ka even though you dont deserve it.

  56. Angeline Araza's (whoever she is) point is, to FORGIVE. I'm not a pro-Villar. Mrs. Villar already admitted her mistake, not only that she admitted her mistake, she apologized. Point is, STOP throwing insults to the person already! She already admitted her mistake and apologize, STOP pointing fingers! If you don't want to vote for her then don't vote!!!

    2. When people have sacrificed so much over the years to provide a better life for their families and they are INSULTED and UNDERMINED on national television by no less than a senatorial candidate, it would take a while for them to move on. That's human nature. Words cut deep. Kaya nga may saying na "think before you speak" eh. Kase, the damage that uttered words do can't be taken back.

People have the right to air their opinions. You can't just tell the offended to shut up.

  57. just because you're not practising nursing at home, that doesn't mean that you're abandoning your country...people actually send dollars back home-which is better for the economy...and tell me, with the influx of nurses graduating every year, not all hospitals will be able to hire them...think before you speak..and why shouldn't nurses be proud? they worked hard for their degree..nursing is a profession that involves dedication and brainpower...they have a right to get angry when people think that their job is just a bag of peanuts..even with the apology, the damage has been done...she already looked down on nurses...she should expect a backlash-it's a consequence of her actions...that wound she created can't heal in just a matter of days...

  58. To: Ms. Angeline Araza...

YUNG TOTOO LANG...staff ka ni Mrs. Villar no? From the way you speak parang knows na knows mo sya...

As a media practitioner, I've seen her talk in that interview and I could say na parang hindi pinaghandaan o pinag isipang mabuti ang mga sinabi nya.

Nurses everywhere would really retaliate to what she said dahil parang minaliit ang profession na yun. OO given that most nurses na nakatapos dito ay pumupunta ng ibang bansa so that they could earn money sufficient enough for their families. Hindi lahat nagpunta dun na ginusto nila kundi kailangan nila! know the difference between the two!

Tingin mo ba the government would be able to give them jobs agad agad? mismong ospital pa nga humihingi ng bayad sa mga trainees para lang makakuha ng experience ang mga nurses dito instead of the other way around.

Ikaw ba ANGELINE ARAZA ano nang natulong mo sa Pilipinas to say these things? Have you donated your time to help those in need o hanggang kuda ka ng kuda using your smartphone?

SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO THINK IF YOU HAVE CONTRIBUTED A GREAT DEAL OF YOUR TIME FOR TO HELP OTHERS.

Pamilya nila. Buti pa nga sa ibang bansa well appreciated ang nurses eh.

  60. those nurses who have reacted negatively to cynthia villar's comment should think twice. wag na kayong magmalinis na mataas ang profession nyo at lahat naman halos eh nag-end up na caregiver. hindi nyo nga naisip magserbisyo sa bansa nyo kung hindi pa ginawang rule na before kayo makaalis eh dapat nagserbisyo kayo dito sa bansa natin. be realistic! wag na magkunwari.

THINK TWICE, THRICE, A HUNDRED TIMES BEFORE SAYING THOSE KIND OF WORDS

  64. I understand her point na let's forgive mrs.hanepbuhay na nga since she apologized na.
But, I dont agree with villar being a humble and service-oriented politician ha.

tapos, I just don't like the way she thinks that NURSES abroad are just there for the money.
If they opted to stay here in the philippines, they could not even get a job or any experience coz punong puno na angm ga ospitals. health centers, clinics, etc. Kaya ngam arami na ngayong nurses ang nagcacallcenter coz wala nmaan work here.

Tapos ang gusto niya, umuwi sa pinas nag nurses to serve the country? OH MY ha,,,, Napaka-SHALLOW naman,.
Maybe she should open tons of hospitals and hire all filipino nurses para everybody happy.

And if her point is for all of us to MOVE ON na, why would she comment pa on how nurses live their lives or even their reasons of working abroad.

AYUN LANG, Affected lang nag peg ko coz I'm a nurse din. :)))

She may not mean to offend the nurses, pero sa choice of words niya, nakasakit na siya. For a politician, she should be cautious sa mga sinasabi niya.

  69. Yeah some nurses go abroad to earn money and help their families here in the Phil. It's not because we're not competent to work, but because mas tumatanggap sila ng volunteer nurses, na sila pa mismo ang ngbabayad just to get in sa isang institution. We can forgive Mrs. Villar as a person, but being a senatorial candidate who needs our votes, she doesn't deserve it. She doesn't have a place in the senate. If her intentions is to help, she can obviously do it even if she's not in the politics. :)
