Making movies is not an easy feat. Even if the script, production crew, and funding are secured, the next step is to organize the ideal actors for the roles. Scheduling can be horrendous, as celebrities would have their restrictions, such as the number of hours of shooting per day, location preferences, such as indoors only, and even comfort demands, such as own air-conditioned tent and other perks. If the producers really want their cast to be perfect, they give in to these demands.
As producers are investors who want to earn profit, they would throw in all resources for their project. In a certain movie, the producers invested in popular actors, a competent director, and a good story. With very active promotion machinery, the movie surprised everyone with its box-office returns. Although most people expected a hit, the response was overwhelming. So, now, someone is claiming credit for the success.
Allegedly, Tactless Talent (TT) was overheard saying that she and her Reel Partner (RP) were the ones who brought in the crowd. She and RP were the ones that moviegoers only wanted to watch. The other actors were old and passé and if left on their own, the movie would have flopped. By contrast, RP has not been heard to brag about another successful movie under his belt. He has remained quiet, which is typical of someone who will not allow success to get into his head. Even if TT could have said that remark in jest, her fellow castmates might take offense.
‘You just have to keep trying to do good work, and hope that it leads to more good work. I want to look back on my career and be proud of the work, and be proud that I tried everything. Yes, I want to look back and know that I was terrible at a variety of things. ‘- Jon Stewart
