Struggles of the Actor Pay Off

The saga of the career of Performer Actor (PA) typifies the roller coaster ride most talents experience. Once a talent is discovered and launched by a network, much is expected. The talent is built up in his/her niche and subjected to good and bad publicity left and right. To assure recall, the talent is bestowed a title that fans can associate with him/her. Once the initial salvo is successful, the talent will have seemingly endless projects. However, one wrong move, such as an unexpected failed project or unexplainable negative attitude, can drop all plans to strengthen his/her foothold in showbiz.
In the case of PA, his entry in the business came at a time when good-looking hunks were slowly making a niche for themselves. With his boyish looks and charm, PA seemed destined to become famous. One appearance in a reality show propelled PA into the limelight, and soon, PA was touted as the next major talent of the network. However, people noticed that other than his good looks, PA was still raw in terms of acting and delivering lines clearly in the native language.
After sometime, PA had to face the fact that his novelty was fading and that he had to reinvent himself. He tried to veer away from goody roles, and he did manage to score rare hits. However, these hits were projects with other stars, and thus, glory was not his alone. Like other talents who feared stagnancy in their career, PA tried his luck somewhere else to pursue a dream. Critics said that this move was a wrong strategy as he would not be visible in the local market. Nonetheless, PA went ahead and tried his luck. Rumors have it that PA even agreed to appear in very minor roles and forego payment just so he can gain exposure and claim that he was able to have international experience.
When PA returned, his network has not given him the exposure he needed, which made his restless. Soon, stories floated that he was moving to another network (AN). However, AN was not interested as PA was not exactly good in acting. While the thought of a dead career was hovering, PA had Lady Luck smile at him. Finally, his network gave him a project with an interesting cast, which critics have already raised questions if they can pull through the ratings game (but that’s another story). Perhaps his network felt that losing PA to AN might not be a good option. Even if PA has been experiencing the downside of his career, he is homegrown and an original discovery of the said network. Thus, giving him second chances would be good for the network’s image.

When Love Hits the Spot

Has Cupid’s arrow finally struck the heart of Cute Hunk (CH)? After being paired with several female talents in his network, it seems that his latest screen partner (SP) has gotten into him. When CH and SP first appeared in supporting roles in a movie, their chemistry was already noticeable. As CH already had a name then and SP was just starting out, their partnership was not immediately given attention by the network. Soon, SP was in other projects, while CH was busier than ever.
The two crossed paths again as the network realized the gem it had in SP. Of all their female discoveries, SP was the prettiest and her aura exuded positive vibes. Moreover, she did not have any personal issues that the media could play with and her critics could use against her. It seems that SP was immune to negative criticisms, as no one dared to subject her to harsh words. With beauty and excellent attitude, SP was on her way to being the ideal network talent. Fans adore her and are quite protecttive. They keep track of her activities as well as her involvement with CH.
With their partnership, CH became more popular, and like any reel loveteam, the fans wished the CH and SP would become partners in real life. However, love is still not the priority of SP, and CH respected the decision of SP. People thought that nothing was really happening until they appeared in a show. The interviewer was one of the girls in the past of CH. Naturally, the interview was already awkward at the beginning, as CH was caught between his past and his possible future.
When CH answered that he only courted one of his girlfriends because she was his crush, those in the audience could decipher that CH was muttering off-mike something like SP should listen to the rest of his answer. Then, CH admitted that SP changed him in some way and that he feels something more than just a mere crush. During the interview, the audience felt that SP was somewhat jealous. SP is still young and can be forgiven for being sensitive to such issues.
As time is passing by, fans are waiting for the next project of CH and SP. While CH is keeping up with the image that fans want him to become, he should remember that in local showbiz, the male partner has more to lose in case a loveteam is broken apart.
