Because when they were praying he also had the same answer as them, that it will be him. He was shaking tremendously because he knew the answer of the prayer is to choose him. I had a feeling parang decoy lang ang mga nilalagay na frontrunners to protect the REAL frontrunner kasi grabe yung mga smear campaigns against the Cardinals Tagle and Parolin.

DeleteAm not even Catholic but if you searched on line and watched the interviews to his family who are all in America you will understand and know the new Pope more. He was born and raised in Chicago and when he became a priest he was assigned to Peru for a long time and he probably developed a deep love to the people there and become dual citizen of America and Peru.

DeleteThere may have already been 3 Popes of color that have been chosen in the past. Pope Victor I, from 189-199, Pope Miltiades 311-314, and Pope Gelasius I, who was pope from 492-496. There've been Asian Popes as well who were from Syria. But of course, those where more than 1 and a half Millenia ago, and in modern times we are yet to see a Pope who's ethnic Asian and Black African.
