    5. Same tayo. Thriving at the expense of mocking and making fun of Pinoy culture, values, ways and beliefs!!!

Utak asan

    7. Mahal ang ticket ni Jokoy. Itong mga mga ampalaya eh malamang di afford Kaya bitter bitteran

      Delete
    8. 1:00 AM were not gullible. We simply appreciate his humor and for us filipinos who live abroad we get it! To call us names such as “gullible” is so low of you.

      Delete
    9. 1:00, totoo naman ang mga sinasabi ni Jokoy sa culture at way of living ng mga Pilipino.

      Delete
    10. 2:13 exactly, ang gusto kasi nila yung “batukan” style of comedy lol

      Delete
    11. 11:54 Finally someone said. I went to him in NY because my friend bought me a ticket. Ang korny ng jokes and ang OA. Di nakakatawa.

    12. I like his jokes but if you watch him too much mauumay ka.

    14. 1:00 mocking & making fun?!? Masyado ka namang balat sibuyas. Ung sinasabi naman ni jokoy is partly true like our accent, reusing ice cream tub and vicks an all in one med. syempre some he exaggerates coz it’s him job..

    15. Kanya-kanyang taste yan. Eh natutuwa at natatawa kami sa kanya dito. Okay, nakakaumay pag uulit-ulitin. Eh bakit kasi uulitin?

So parang inaakto lang nya and he’s just memorizing scripts from scriptwriters. Sa totoo lang mag witty and original pa yung iba naten comedians.

    1. He's not really good, jokes repetitive kagat naman mga pinoy, pag impromptu waley yan

      Delete
    2. Did you attend to any of his live shows para malaman mo na repetitive ang jokes nya? Or just watched it on youtube? I have watched 2 of his shows and i am amazed na non of his jokes were recycled from those couple of show ive seen in youtube. Hirap sa pinoy, pag may isang umaanga, inggit na inggit. Kaloka. We are being represented. Sa tingin mo, paano mag english ang majority of pinoy, straight call center type slang ba?? Kaloka, accent natin yan, bat kayo naiinis pag nadidinig nyo???

      Delete
    3. 1:34 slapstick comedy kasi trip ng masang pinoy hahah

      Delete
    4. Lol 12:18, di mo alam that most comedians hire a bunch of comedy writers to help them develop their sketch? Di naman secret yun. Baka kailangan mo mag update about pop culture.

      Delete
  5. Weird. Why? I know he's at the top of his game at the moment, pero a day dedicated to him? There are more worthy people out there who deserve this kind of treatment.

    3. Yup, because marami rin tlagang inggiterang Pinoy.
      Lol, which makes sense.

      Delete
If only we all could be happy for him kahit di sya bet ng lahat because not everyone gets to reach what he did .

      Delete
    5. Yeah my cousin who lives LA says mas OK pang ifriend ang ibang lahi kasi crab mentality ang maraming pinoy like you 12:43.

      Delete
    6. I listen to his podcast and years ago he did talk about when he was starting out in Vegas he asked Pinoys to support his show. Not one Pinoy showed up. Lahat ng pumunta puro puti. Pinoys hindi mag latch on until sikat.

      Delete
    7. Couldn’t agree more. Currently naka base ako sa overseas and my first hand experience during work is that most of my Filipino colleagues are the one making me feel like an outcast.

So I made friends which is different from our race. I found them genuine and hindi toxic.

Disclaimer not all Filipino but some of them, which is nakakalungkot lang..

  10. Nakakatawa yung mga haters dito, true talaga yung it's your own people who will bring you down.

    3. He speaks and understands Tagalog and is spreading the culture.

      Delete
    4. Yes, he could have chosen to live like any white kasi hindi naman sya pango pero he chose to represent us including yung mga Pinoy na puno ng insecurities sa identity at culture nila.

    4. @1:57 girl ewan ko anong parte dun yung offensive and if you’re watching his show meron din syang joke about black american stereotypes his bestfriend Andrei.

Yung mga audience nya iba2x lahi and they are being a good sport, and enjoying the show. Bakit ikaw?

Lalo sa mga pinoy artists.watch his netflix show. Malalaman niyo.

Imbes na suportahan kapwa pinoy and be happy for them, e wala! I came from NY pero karamihan very supportive at nagtutulungan mga pinoy dun.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies

As OFW, minsan yung katrabaho mo pang pinoy ang **sh*le e. Yung inggit kapag barerecognize ka. Crab mentality at it's finest.

      Delete
    3. I was in the hospital as a new nurse and my preceptor was a Pinoy. Grabe, nanlamon. Ganun daw talaga sya sa mga Pinoy new nurses. One look at her pa lang, you'll know why.

Umintindi at mag appreciate.

  17. Talangka alert! Obviously hindi niyo pa siya napanood live. I watched him twice here sa Australia. Laging soldout tix niya. Plus he’s genuinely nice, he hugs his fans sa meet and greet. SMH. DOGS BARK WHEN THEY DONT KNOW THE PERSON.

  18. Whether positive or negative comment or impression people have, why can't we just be thankful that a Filipino receive such an honor? What will you feel if you are recognized abroad and people speaks negatively of you?

    ReplyDelete
  19. If you don't like him, don't follow him, don't say anything. It is that simple. You still cannot deny that there are many Filipinos who laugh at his jokes and are happy with what he is doing.Do not deprive them of that. He is not making fun of the Filipinos but he is actually introducing the culture with humor to the whole world! Filipinos could never be happy with the success of other Filipinos. Crab mentity is real, one of our bad sides! Hay!

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  21. Parang ang laki ng itinanda niya.
Anyway, salamat Jokoy for being instrumental in greatly boosting Filipino representation in American media through your sold out shows and movie.

Ive watched his old stand up vids in YT, he was really proud of his roots and his mom even back the. when he was a nobody. he experienced many rejections but he worked his way up and he did become very successful 🎉 buti na lang hindi sya sa pinas lumaki dahil daming talangka mentality at nagmamarunong kaya walang asenso. GO JOKOY!! 🇵🇭

  24. Mga nagcocomment ng nega dito obviously don’t get it. Hindi nya pinagtatawanan mga pinoy. If you’re a filipino or filipino american kid who grew up in America, you can relate to the jokes kasi ganyang ganyan ang way of life living with a filipino mom in an american culture!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Why should we be proud that someone is making of us Filipinos?
You guys are nuts for thinking that it's something to be proud of and that to object to the idea is just a talangka attitude. You're unbelievable! SOmeone is laughing at you and you join him and make him rich and famous? WEIRD!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. He's a Filipino and proud to be one.
He was not making fun of his own blood. He's simply doing a retelling of his own experience as a FILIPINO to a crowd in a more comedic way. Have you ever watch his shows in YouTube? Or are you blindly commenting about him?

Also, he's not the only one who comes and do comedic show about his culture or childhood. There are Chinese, Japanese, Indians and more who do this kind of comedy. It's funny and entertaining. Stop being a b****.

      Delete
    2. If you're a non-Filipino and you think his jokes are funny, you look down on Filipinos deep inside.
Filipinos who think his jokes about us are funny and something we should be proud of are not smart at all.
This B**** is just telling the truth that's why you're hurting.

    3. 7:29 from personal experience nya kasi yun, baks. Tignan mo nga latest netflix special pinagtatawanan nya sleep apnea nya. Nukaba!

    4. You're new to stand-up comedy, baks.

    3. Nood sila ng ibang stand up comedians na nakakatawa and then tell us what should be the topic.

I don't find his jokes offensive. You can see that he's really proud of being Pinoy.
