    3. Dislike!

  2. Could’ve been called “gobyerno” as well. Actually yun naisip ko while looking at the costume. Sad.

    1. Hahaha! I see it, baks! Winner!

Nah, best natcos for me is still Gazini Ganados, Charlene Gonzales for Miss U and Ruffa Gutz sa Miss World.

    1. It was amazing indeed. Look at those shoes. Pag ba yung candidate natin natapilok at napilayan, matutuwa ba sila?

  6. i think her face was overwhelmed by the design

    A for effort though.

    1. I was about to say na masyadong magulo yung execution pero perfect yung description mo na parang sari sari store

      Delete
    2. Ikaw nlng sana gumawa at rumampa dun. Galing mo eh!

      Delete
    3. Same thoughts. Nonetheless, it’s a creative concept. I wish di lang sobrang magulo.

  11. Super like! She nailed the NATCOS!

  12. Ang ganda ng dress nya s still photo. Pero on the runway or live, ang gulo

    1. TRUTH... sa still photos maganda... but hinahanap ko p rin san ang Philippines sa costume nya, nasa narratives pala ng designer.. no doubt magaling ang craftmanship ng designer though. Unlike Thailand kahit nde iexplain alam mong Thailand, kahit every year iba iba theme ng costume nila nde nawawala ang identity nila.

    2. 11:22 Philippine mythology yan teh.

    ReplyDelete
  15. It's an eye sore sa totoo lang mas ok kung stick sa traditional with a twist,

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  19. Bakit ba Hindi filipianiana ang National costume natin? E napaganda kaya ng kasuotan na yun.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I like the concept abd she carried it well but too many elements sa bottom part. A sleeker lower half would've nailed it.

    ReplyDelete
  21. The details are so intricate. It’s a work of art. Galing din ni Bea. Hindi siya OA rumampa. Congrats team Phils!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I saw it in an official pictorial type shot and it looked good. Looking at it here now, it looks a bit of a mess... too much going on.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Nice. Good job!
Something new this time not the typical araw bituin stuff. Ill be honest, its my first time to hear about this bakunawa thing. I thought it has smth to do w bakuna because of covid LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Parang there’s too much going on ang gulo na tignan. Maybe it would look better on a different lighting too.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Ang gulo! Ang kalat ng design!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Sana next manananggal naman siguradong panalo 😊

  28. kala ko talaga wolf ung nasa shoulders. kako bat may wolf eh wala naman nun dito satin. BAKUNAWA pala. dragon pala un

    ReplyDelete
  29. Pinaghandaan at naitawid ni Bea ang NatCos. She executed it well on the stage.

Para sa mga i*no*an*e, her NatCos is about Bakunawa. Free mg research sa google if you want to know more. It's a myth in Filipino folklore.

Sana pinoys learn to be more appreciative this time, di puro kuda o puna lang.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. True. I even showed it to my kids kc mahilig sila sa greek mythology.

      Delete
    3. It looks nothing like a dragon.

      Delete
  30. The best national costume yet.

Haha

    1. Makalat naman talaga TIGNAN. Makakuda to parang experto ka din. It's the kind of costume na maganda pero better photographed than seen worn in a catwalk.

      Delete

    3. 11:11 You get than from a video? Iba din hitsura nyan sa personal. Too bad wala ka sa Israel no?

  31. Gulat ako. Akala ko walis tambo.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Uu nga. Sa still maganda. Maayos. Nakikita mo maigi yung design unlike kung irarampa mo. Magulo kala mo basura dala.peace yow!

    ReplyDelete
  33. It's well done and well made naman. Just not a fan of palikpiks in general.

    ReplyDelete
  34. ganda kaya, pinoy folklore.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Like. Exquisite. Her simple aura carried that convoluted costume well.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Like.

  43. My Golly, masakit sa paningin. Parang kalat kalat.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Para syang pang cosplay

    ReplyDelete
  45. Ouch her legs are so red

    ReplyDelete
  46. I dont like it! Not one bit! Parang basura

    ReplyDelete
  47. Yung mga fans na makasabing ignorante or whatever, duh, its a natcos. The fact na hindi nagresonate sa pinoy audience at maraming hindi alam kung ano nirerepresent nya (it doesnt even look like bakunawa sa ganyang kulay. MUKHANG ISDA.) means she didn't represent the culture well.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. natural mukhang isda... bakunawa is like water element... yan ung character sa amaya ni marian rev. dati.

      Delete
Normal na kwento yan ng nga lolo namin sa province growing up and of course from the textbooks. - Batang 90's

      Delete
    3. 9:19 yes bakunawa is a sea serpent-like dragon.

      Delete
  48. Mas bet ko yung costume niya nung MUP. Nirecycle na lang sana. This costume is too busy, di ko alam kung saan ako titingin

    ReplyDelete
  49. Whoever thought of this type of costumes should wear it themselves first. Why can't they make it simple and straight to the point?

    ReplyDelete
  50. Bakit parang made out of trash I mean recyclable materials yun suot nyan? tama ba ko baks???

    ReplyDelete
  51. I didnt know this Bakunawa til now, I thought it has smth to do with bakuna vaccine LOL. A for effort tho, pinagpaguran talaga

    ReplyDelete
  52. This like a depiction of Manila aerial view on the plane when you are about to land in the airport.

  53. BAKUNAWA INSPIRE SOBRANG GANDA NAPANGA2 AKO DITO S CUSTOM GRAVE
FOR ME AS A PAINTING AND CRAFT ARTIST.
N DISAPOINT LANG AKO S IBANG MGA COMMENT N ADAW B YAN? ANO B YAN CUSTOME B YAN? WILL DI KO SILA MA SISI HINDI LAHAT NG MAGANDA AY KUMIKINANG AT NAKAKASILAW DAHIL TUNAY N KAGANDAHAN AY NASA KUNG ANO ANG IPINA PAHIWATING O KAHULUGAN NG ISANG OBRA.

    ReplyDelete
  54. mas maganda siguro kung gawin malinis yong costume. Yung dalawang parang dragon (?)yng napapansin kesa dun nga madaming masyadong details kaya naging magulo tignan.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. ang kulay kasi hindi magkaka connect. Iba yung sa dragon and iba yung bodice. Magulo tignan.

      Delete
  56. Looks like scrap everything put together...

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  58. I commend the designer, very detailed ang costume. Pero the contestant only has a minute to impress, di ko alam kung saan ako titingin sa dami ng details ng costume. She has to be the focus and not the costume. Maganda yung costume niya nung MUP, simple, unique, angat ang ganda ng hubog ng katawan niya and she was the focus and not the costume.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Goodness those shoes. Just saw the videos and I'm holding my breath hoping she won't trip but she carried herself well naman.

    ReplyDelete
