Inconsistent Image

The popularity of social media has resulted in using the tool as a way to promote businesses. Subsequently, products targeted famous celebrities with many followers as endorsers. A celebrity just needs to post a photo or video of the said product, which can translate to awareness and sales.

In the past years, small business owners have reached out to various celebrities for help in gaining visibility for their products. Small business owners send their products, such as food, to celebrities. A photo showing a celebrity with the product is already a big help to these non-showbiz folks trying to make ends meet.

The simplest way to generate awareness is to tag the social media account of a celebrity. Some celebrities would click on the like or heart icon to show support and linger for a time in the post. Unfortunately, not all celebrities are generous. Small business Owner (SO) was disappointed at the action of a celebrity Business Advocate (BA). BA has been vocal in supporting small business owners, which made SO think of asking for help to generate awareness. When SO tagged BA, BA immediately removed the tagging. Such action sent out the message that BA was not true to the advocacy.

  2. Kung kailangan mo ng tulong magpaalam ka muna bago mag tag. May iba iba ring concerns ang mga celeb na yan sa image at endorsements nila, sana intindihin rin. Or baka sa ibang paraan sila pwede tumulong sayo

  3. Hello?? Prerogative ng celeb kung gusto nya magpa-tag sa isang business noh! Ikaw na nga lang nakiki-pabor, ikaw pa tong feeling entitled! Porket small business ka, kailangan pagbibigyan ka na?? Duh!

  4. So small business owner tags a celebrity who's supposedly an advocate for SMEs? They had no initial introduction/connection whatsoever and simply thinks she could tag the endorser? Sounds like the business owner shouldn't be in business at all if yun ang business strategy nila.

    First off, you can't just assume that someone is an advocate, lahat ok na. They have arrangements/business contracts to honour. Plus, maybe the business is hindi ka advo-advocate at mlm levels ganern? Isipin din nating minsan mars

  5. Dapat kasi nagpapasintabi or paalam din naman muna no? Kasi baka conflict sa ini endorse nyang brand or simpleng hindi lang sya talaga gumagamit ng whatever product ng business na ti-nag sa kanya. Kalerks naman yung assume ka kaagad na ok lang just because….

  6. Magpaalam muna bago mag-tag kasi baka may ibang endorsement si ate girl that might get her in trouble pag na associate siya sa ibang products
