    2. "Masasabi na talaga" But I could be wrong!

    3. 12:44 Ellen shortened the words- ka ingon na gyud (or najud) tingali si elon na bye earth.

Kaingon- to say (ingon is sabi)
      Gyud - really /talaga
      Tingali - maybe / baka

      Hope this helps.

    4. 12:44 translation: Elon probably said goodbye earth.

9:14 AM, then wag siya mag impose ng self-improvement at magtawag ng not educated and walang skill if yung sinabi niya mismo kailangan pa intindihin.

  8. The UN WFP Director requested Elon to donate. Elon is willing to donate, his only request is transparency (open source accounting) on how the US$6.6B will be spent to solve world hunger.

Why is the UN WFP Director taking too long to reply to Elon?
Why not be game for open source charity?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Daming politics kasi bg UN, by the time makarating ang pera sa poor, ang dami nang bawas sa bureaucrats.

      Delete

      Delete
  9. There's a lovely discourse about this on Twitter. The UN WFP Director can't address Elon's request for open source accouting.

    Tahimik na si Director.

    ReplyDelete
  10. End corruption end world hunger - Miss U sa kanto

    ReplyDelete
  11. Tama naman si Elon. Pag tayo nga magdonate ng Php500, may resibo eh. Tsaka transparent ung mga organizations pano nagamit, complete with pictures pa. Eh yun pa kayang US$6.6B?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Sumagot na ung WFP Director, misleading raw ung headline. Hindi naman daw nya sinabing kayang ma-solve ung world hunger, pero definitely malayo ang mararating nung US$6B.
Biglang kabig nung hinamon ng transparency.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies

  13. World hunger will never end. There are people who are lazy and won't find jobs. People are not educated about population control. There are corruptions in the government, etc. Mauubos and $6B dollar mo but it won't solve the world hunger at all.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Sorry but the 6billion usd will go to fat check of officials of UN.

      Delete
    4. wow dami nyo alam ah... :D

      Delete

Let him do what he wants with his money.

The world is waiting.

  19. Ambassador KC, proud kang pinost mo rin 'to eh.
Pa-follow-up naman kay Director. Ano na?

    1. Tinanggal nya tuloy ung UN WFP sa profile nya.
Eh laging exposure pitch nya yan dati.

  20. Elon Musk is one of the smartest people who ever walked the face of the world. He knows his money alone will not solve world hunger because there are underlying issues like corruption, politics, etc.
In fairness to the WFP Director, he claims he was misquoted by CNN and that he didn't chastise Elon or any billionaire. He asserts the headline was misleading.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. 109 elon is a jerk. used to like him but he forced tesla workers to work when the pandemic was on its peak - complete disregard to safety and health of his employees. they actually lost a discrimination lawsuit against tesla and paid millions. glad to see them leave california - go to Texas and worry about its power grid.

      Delete
    2. 1:51 you’re mistaken..Elon is a very good employer.

      Delete
    3. 1:51, maraming trabahador si Elon na binabayaran niya. Ikaw, ilan ang employees mo?

      Delete
Wala sya sinabi na end world hunger. Ang sabi nya makakatulong na mailigtas yung mga starving to death and if yung mga billionaires can make a one time donation, makakahelp sa 42M people yun this year.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies

      Delete
    2. Makakatulong this year? Paano next year?

      Delete
    3. @9:25 Mismo!
"Don't give them fish, teach them how to fish."
Ung $8.4B na nakolekta nila last year, nasan na?

      Delete
    4. 9:25, this year kasi nga there is a short term lang goal of feeding people who are starving to death. Some of them are affected by the pandemic, some of them (esp the ones in Africa) are affected by drought.
While cannot be denied that a lot of those relying on donations are also lazy, it is also wrong to generalize that all of them are.
Providing them with a livelihood is a long term goal and $6B or $14B is not enough to solve this.

      Delete
  22. Kung ako ung Diretor, iexplain ko na agad ung breakdown ng funds sa Twitter (as requested by Elon for transparency) para maidonate at magamit na ung pera at maitulong na sa mga nangangailangan.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. But UN would never...that's exactly why Elon responded the way he did. He knows he wouldn't have to put up because he knows how donating money works, billionaires have been using charity as a means to game the system e.g. tax breaks. Both sides are cruel jerks to bring this up and pull the public into their stupid banter.

      Delete
    2. 9:09 Agree. Yun lang, UN won't do it.

      Delete
  23. Seems to me the director is insinuating that if Elon donates his money to UN rather than funding space explorations, then it can end world hunger. And Elon thinks this is absurd since it's really impossible, hence he made that dare.

    ReplyDelete
  24. 8.4B raised and it did not solve hungee simply because UN is a corrupt org.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Ellen ikaw ang nganga. You don't know the real cause of world hunger kaya mahirap sya basta mawala. Unequal opportunities for work, food supply, climate change, etc.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Climate change?

      Delete
  26. Lol, yung idea mismo na billionaires+UN are capable of ending world hunger ay kasing absurd ng idea na kaya ni Elon solusyonan ang traffic via dugout loop. Sarap paguuntugin ng mga hambog na to. Ginagawang amusement/source of banter yung suffering ng nakararami, when we all know that both sides (established institutions and powerful elite) will forever choose to deliberately do nothing. Pwe.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Eto na naman tayo sa obsession with education as the ultimate problem solver of the world... LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Daming time ni ellen, ghorl ayusin mo kaya muna yang buhay mo.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Ano po ang ending ng kwento? Donate po ba o hindi? Chos!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. No! Why would I donate to UN when I could do it myself.

      Delete
    2. @12:38 Exactly! Directly help the poor, even in little ways, like giving them jobs or mentoring them about financial literacy. Donate school supplies for the less fortunate.
Don't let the deceitful lobbyists and bureaucrats touch your money.

  30. Gushing over Elon Musk, my penultimate crush...love love

    ReplyDelete
  31. World hunger would only end if the world would DEPOPULATE. More mouths to feed, less food. And also the world needs to support farmers and limit the land areas where businessmen could build structures. We need more lands where we could plant not buildings!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies

      Delete
    2. Depopulation... It's those countries with BILLIONS of citizens that is at fault here like china, india and also mexico although they're not yet in a billion but close at 850million. Clean those countries first if those elites really want to depopulate the world.
