    4. Hahaha well, their music and entertainment industries are far superior. Let's be real.

      Delete
    5. 9:36, Pinoy talent is far superior.
Tignan natin kung tanggap ka ng koreans as one of them.

  8. Deserve nila. I saw their music vid. They may not look like Pinoy kasi K-Pop ang peg nila but their music was dope and makabayan naman. Angas.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Sana once marecognize sila internationally, they would stop copying kpop/jpop at ipakilala ang totoong opm sa mundo. For now kasi kitang kita ang kpop influence sakanila e. Rooting for them tho.

      Delete
    2. I'm sincerely curious & no shade whatsoever but I want to know what for you is the "true" sound of OPM?

      Delete
    3. Ano ba yung totoong OPM? Pop music is pop music. Malamang magkakaparepareho. Naiba lang yung language.

      Delete
    4. 1:23 anong klase bang opm ang gusto? Yung puro love/ballad song b or the cringy one?

      Delete
    5. Under korean management sila

      Delete
    6. marunong ba sila bumirit

      Delete
    7. Ahh no. They wouldn't be noticed if they peddled ballads or pinoy street rock, lol

      Delete
    8. Music evolves. Look at the songs/music created by young Pinoy musicians nowadays. Iba din compared sa tunog from 20 years ago.

      Delete
    9. @5:57AM Yes. Marunong bumirit isang member nila. They also harmonize their voices really well. If you have time pls check out their live performance of Tilaluha on the Wishbus.

      Delete
    10. Define OPM po.

    11. OPM - GARY V. NA NANGINGISAY AT NAGKIKIKISIG SA DANCE FLOOR!

  10. Sana tumagal sila. Usually kasi pag may binubuo girl Group Or Boy Group dito s Pilipinas hinde tumatagal at nag aaway away may mga inggitan. Dami issues. So again sana Ma sustain nila Group nila. Yun lang :)

  11. Andami talangka.

    2. NO. YOu're just being pessimistic and obviously you don't see the beauty of your own Filipino culture or talent. One day someone will prove you wrong and I'm NOT definitely talking about Kim.

    3. So true lol

    4. 5:50 dami mong kuda hindi mo rin naman makita talent ng SB19 who are BTW Filipinos singing in Tagalog. Have you seen their music video WHAT? Watawat. It screams Filipino culture din.

      Delete
    5. 5:50 anong klase ba kasi OPM ang gusto nyo?? Are you still stuck in the past? Kapag OPM dapat lang ba yung puro hugot, love, or cringy song? Eh hndi rin nman original ang opm kasi we get inspiration from western countries like UK and US. Yung kay Leah salonga, obviously may inspiration ang some songs nya from the western pero she still manage to bring our owm country to other countries.

      Delete
    6. OPM - Hagibis, Aegis, Gary V., Gab Valenciano,

      Delete

Pinanood ko yung WHAT ng ilang beses several days after it was released. Kadismaya.

SPeaking of talent. Yes, talented ang SB19. Mas magaling silang kumanta dan most kpop boybands actually but what they lack is star appeal.

    2. Galit ka 256? Problema mo. Sb19 sounds Korean For Me. Kayo mag toxic kpop fans! Kadire

    2. 9:51 agree, talent lang tlaga meron! Tried watching their MV, di ko natagalan! Aminin, kpop ang style! Don’t start with “kpop also copied from Jpop or westernized”. Okay, they’re all pop. But Kpop is now globally recognized as a music genre and mas maraming kilalang kpop groups and soloists. Nothing wrong with them copying kpop, if that’s their way to become known. Wag ng ma butthurt, SB19 fans. That’s the strategy of their korean management. I also agree with 4:16! Top Social Artist is based on how many times they’re mentioned in twitter, fb, etc. Remember Philippines ranked highest pagdating sa socmed! Galing kasi natin magpa hype or trending lang.

      Delete
    3. Well sa sobrang well know ng mga US artists na daming sales sa mga kanta nila, the more na magtataka ka pano sila nakapasok. And considering na daming pinoy na Hindi sila bet, how can you say their nomination is a pure act of a mere few? It’s because it’s not. They’re most searched on wiki and google most streamed on YT and has many other social engagements. I’m not a fan either but I’m blown away with their Hatak sa tao and to be frank Mas malaki pa supporters nila outside of the Philippines which is sad but well, that’s what it is nevertheless they are now and forever will be Billboards nominee.which is just WOW.

  23. Congratulations to them.

  24. I’m an ARMY but everytime nominated itong grupo nato I always vote for them. i dont know their names and song but I always give my support. So torn ako this time. Same ang criteria nila ng BTS.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Korean ba kinakanta nila? Hindi naman di ba? Bakit laging sinasabi ng iba Kpop wannabes sila.

Hahaha, yikes!

  26. watawat daw pero halatang in the image of other asian boy bands. the hypocrisy on a level of its own.

    1. How can you say in the image of other boy bands? Si James Reid pag nagsweats in the image of JB na din? Lahat May inspiration and when they do the same kopya na agad? Ikaw Anong originality mo na never kang Di nainspire sa iba? To say hypocrisy is too much, you obviously don’t understand anything and just blurt out what you want without thinking of the impact it will have on the artists. Karma will get those who are not kind to others. Good luck syo.

  27. Honestly nakakalungkot reading some of the comments here. It really seems na hindi pa talaga na-appreciate ng mga Pinoy ang talent ng SB19 because hindi sila binibigyan ng chance. Masyado na consume ‘yung iba sa prejudices nila na Kpop wannabe ang SB19 which I assure you they’re not. If you could just give them a chance & listen to the lyrics of their songs especially their latest called “What?”, ma-realize n’yo how passionate they are to promote Pinoy music globally.

    ReplyDelete
  28. No offense sana. But then d ako basher. Congrats sa achievements.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Hahaha there you go may tumawa. Sad nmn coz you haven’t heard their songs. Or heard them and didn’t appreciate. One day I guess you will. Cheers!

  30. Congratulations to them. I hope their supporters will give a decent fight in voting para kabahan naman minsan ang BTS at army.

But if it were up to me, I really prefer OPM not be anchored on groups that is patterned after kpop's boybands and annoying kpop girlbands with their silly and slutty dance steps. SOme ignorant pinoys still asking about OPM's sound just because they're too engrossed with kpop. I want a new breed of great OPM BANDS of before like E'Heads, Rivermaya, solo acts like Barbie and Kitchie and rappers like Francis M. I prefer Bayang Barrios and ASIN's, unmistakably pinoy sounds than something that resembles kpop.

      Delete
    2. Yes, I forgot to mention WolfGang. They're a great band too.
ANd of course ANak by Freddie Aguilar... yung mga ignoranteng pinoys dyaan na tanong ng tanong kung ano ba ang tunog ng OPM... ANAK is one great example of the unique sound and soul of Filipino music along with ASIN and others. PInoy na pinoy talaga and that kind of songs and artists are what OPM needs right now to rise in the world stage.

Take for example MNL48. NAsasayang ang talents nila kasi they are singing like japanese girls na super pabebe eh in the first place hindi naman talaga type ng mga pinoy ang pagkanta ng mga japanese girlbands kaya wag na siLAng magtaka kung bakit hirap na hirap silang makuha ang support ng mga pinoy kasi hindi type ng mga pinoy ang ganyang style. The only time I like MNL48 is when they sang so beautifully in China an acapella version of eroplanong papel. WHY??? BECAUSE THEY SANG LIKE THE FILIPINA THAT THEY ARE. PERIOD.

      Delete
  31. May talent dn nman sila at pinopromote pagiging pinoy kaya lang ung MV nila ng What parang ginaya concept ng On by BTS 😅

    ReplyDelete
Haha! SB19 has tons of international fans, they don’t need and deserve hate or mocking. They were voted by fans na sing tindi ng fans nina Ariana Grande, Blackpink and BTS. Tinalo ang fans ng other US artists like Justin Bieber. You don’t need to like them Pero to say rude things and mock their appearance or music is uncalled for. Wala kayo sa level nila. Kung walang pandemic they will be posing in the same red carpet as Hollywood stars. Duh.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I actually watched some of their MVs and yeah halatang ginaya BTS walang originality haist

    ReplyDelete
  34. Curious lang, from what countries po international fans nila? Because they are placed in Top 10 of TSA in BBM. just asking from what other countries?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Mainly US, Korea and other Asian countries, SA, AU, Brazil and other South American countries, too many to mention. Maraming reaction vids sa YT apart from tweets and TikTok followers.

      Delete
    2. Youtubers who do reaction videos are not real fans. They're just after the views and money.
I don't think they have fans in korea other than that 1 korean youtuber.

      Delete
    3. Wrong. These youtubers singing their songs in tagalog tells you they listen to them. They have good number of followers too and their reaction videos make their followers curious about SB19 so they google them look for they other videos they become new fans, hence the top social artist nomination. But hey, no matter what I say you’re going to dislike them anyway so do what you want it’s a free wold ok. Just want to correct you coz you were wrong.

      Delete
  35. Congratulations SB19! kahit may mga nag-mamata mata parin sa kanila, bcos of their humbleness na-ble-bless sila ng sobra ng Panginoon.
