  2. I agree. Living in Toronto does not spare us from the virus. Like what I said b4 sa comment about bashing duterte, we are in a first world country but still nahihirapan and we need disiplina. We do not complain or bash our Prime minister. Listen and support lang kc wala nman maitutulong kung mag ccomplain. We are just glad na the government supports us financially bec of lockdown. Increase child benefits, gst and hst, may emergency fund. How come Canada government can afford the budget? Kc we pay our taxes and due diligence. Kc hndi nacorrupt. And my disiplina ang Canadians.

    1. It’s not about blaming mr President. IF ONLY nakinig sila sa ibang news ng other countries at hindi nagpetix sana hindi lumala ang case dito. Sabi nya wag katakutan ang covid. Fine. So ano nangyari? Halos lahat ng naunang nagka covid is with travel history. We listened, we kept ourselves safe, we disciplined ourselves too. Pero if there would one thing we will regret, un yung sana sa mismonb presidente na ang desisyon na travel ban, DOH din. Philippines isn’t ready for this pandemic, sana lang bago isisi sa mga tao, isipin din baket may nakapasok na sunod sunod dito. And guess what sis, 4 sa village namin may covid all had travel history.

    3. I am also from Canada. I have also been very vocal about the bashing’s against Duterte and the apparent non mass testing sa Pinas. I’ve been telling my friends in the Philippines that even industrialized and first world countries are or were not prepared. Mas maswerte pa nga yata ang Pinas kasi Di ba merong mass testing na this mid April? We don’t have any in Canada but I am not complaining. I think our government is just trying to cope up and what is more important is that politics has taken a backseat.

    4. 2:04 - you are dead wrong kung sa tingin mo mas "maswerte" sa Pilipinas. Walang mass testing sa Canada kasi they are saving it for those who have symptoms. And until na-implement ang mass testing, wag muna tayong umasa because this government has failed us so many times.

    5. Totoo 1151.

      Delete
    7. 11:51 If you only know the changes the government made because of those 'complaints'

Ang masasabi kong napansin kong positive, the government listens to complaints, and they correct things kung kaya pa. Pag nagtrending sila, they don't automatically dismiss, kasi sinasagot naman nila at hinahanapan ng paraan kahit papano.

    9. I was never fan of Duterte too but I was really impressed the way he is handling this crisis.Very low death rate to think PHILIPPINES is a third word country.Im a nurse here in UK and I wanted to quit work since Im worried sick for my life of getting infected but on other hand I feel bad running away just to save myself.I wish I wake up from this nightmare soon.God bless Philippines and keep safe everyone.

    10. 5:00 pm well until now wala tayong pandemic curve so hindi viable pa din kung good yan death rate na yan. Sa cases versus death and recovery we are in the end of the line. Kaya its to be early to say it since wala naman tayong data

    12. "Increase child benefits, gst and hst, may emergency fund. How come Canada government can afford the budget? Kc we pay our taxes and due diligence." -- and this is why you dont complain and we DO. Tapos pano kung split pa with other families/people?

    13. Pinas testing numbers are very small given that the country's population is large at more than 110 million. Only a few thousands have been done so far, so statistics are very unreliable. Much more cases are not being detected, and many more deaths from covid are not being counted because they die at home.

  3. My gahd! This is it na talaga! Nagbago na ang mundo. Nakakalula. I'm doing this so I can also help out my family and whoever else I can. Gising na ako! This pandemic has changed everything. The world will never go back to the way it was before.

    1. amen to optimize all resources and not waste anything. hindi natin alam kung gaano pa katagal to, vaccine may take 12-18 months, might be longer for us since we live in a poor and corrupt third world country. whatever you have, save it for your family. What you have now in excess might help you and your family survive a few months from now. Mahirap umasa sa mga ayuda. Stock up for your family and save whatever Is remaining for what’s to come.

Somehow, if it comes to that, this will be Survival of the fittest. Wala kami sa pockets of poverty, pero hindi din kami ganun kayaman, pero we are preparing for the worst. And giving out anything now to non-family might affect our chances of survival in the coming months, if this gets worse. Malalagpasan natin to, we just have to be smart, eat right, and pray for excellent immune system and good health.

    2. Realization hits me big time! Everything on this earth is just temporary nD mo alam in the blink of an eye you’re gone. This Covid has no cure 1 no one can save us but God above. Repent and accept Jesus as your personal Lord & Saviour. He died & raised again for us sinners .,

  4. Me too nars dito sa abroad.

    1. Kawawa ka naman, 1:25. Sana wag ka magkasakit for the sake of your big family here na umaasa sayo. Good thing we learned last year kung sino lang ang tunay na family ang turing sa amin. Yung hindi lang nandyan pag may kailangan. Kaya ngayon, we can conserve our resources until this pandemic ends, which according to studies, earliest will be early next year, that is if may vaccine na by that time. Keep safe, 1:25.

You have a big family yet not one of them has income or savings for times like this? Pasensya ka na 1:25. Naawa at medyo nagulat ako sa comment mo. Parang you have to carry all the burden sa gitna ng crisis na ito.

      Delete

    5. Agree. I hope OFWs who shoulder all expenses of their loved ones back home stay healthy for their families. Pero it’s Filipino mentality to rely heavily on families abroad. My cousins ask me for gifts all the time pero I’ve learned to say no. I told my dad that I’m only giving money if someone is sick or if it’s for my grandmothers.

Sana In the future matuto ang iba to earn their own income.

    6. 10:33 I agree. Hindi porket nasa abroad, madami ng pera. Hindi sila atm. My mother lives abroad, but never kami nag-ask financially sa kanya. We only get gifts pag birthday and christmas, samantalang yung iba namin na kamaganak, akala mo may patago. Maya’t maya may sakit si ganito, gipit si ganyan. I hope my mom learns to say no too. So I learned to only rely on myself and just funnel all our resources within our family.

If If it’s the latter, then you need to learn to say no. Paano pag may nangyari sayo dyan tapos wala ka halos savings dahil sa kakapadala mo sa kanila? Eh di lahat kayo nganga. Very toxic ang ganyang set up. Parang ginawa ka na lang milking cow.

  7. No one is ready. Thats true but i think marvins sister is “hirap” not because of covid but because she doesn’t like what she’s doing based on what she said “even before covid” pa. So for marvin to say na hirap na hirap parang misconstrued naman. I also work in the medical field most of testing are cancelled they are only taking URGENT cases bec of this covid. Wala nga halos gnagawa kc they are waiting getting ready for the surge of covid. Like i said no one is ready none is prepared.

Ano to, pili nalang ang i.save nila?

    1. Kahit s Canada they will just ask you to stay home and isolated, ganun din s Italy Kaya nga me namamatay S loob ng bahay db., kc d lahat Pede I admit

      Delete
    2. Yes, only the sickest are admitted.

  10. No nation is ever prepared for this even the powerful countries. Stop blaming the president of the Philippines as we know he's trying his best. We are lucky we have locked down at an early stage. What we need now is the control of this virus to spread,so better stay at home.
