Last I looked, they're having a charity event for Smile Train. Hun, I don't know your expectations with pageant organizations. Are the winners supposed to be in the slums, giving food, or something like that? Be realistic. The reigning misses will campaign for funds for causes the org supports, and they use different mediums to do that. It's irrational to expect that they must be on-site at all times. Think about logistics, or security.
Moreover, these pageants orgs can only do so much. They have advocacies, true, but they are more in glamour and fashion.
Lastly, why are you so salty? Did you complain too about lack of events when the Philippine candidate wasn't the winner? 😅

The advocacy kyemerloo is Miss World. Miss U is a capitalist pageant through and through. Pero sana pinasikat nila si Cat through modelling gigs and hollywood exposure.
Then they should just be like Miss Supranational where pasarela / runway skills are most important. The problem is, when you change the pageant format to seem like you look for substance, and you get a spitfire like Catriona with wisdom and oratory skills like that, sayang. At least she's raising millions for the IMG with all these endorsements though.
The causes are too few and far between, but it doesnt have to be grand. At least Pia had all these speaking engagements. You should go to the Miss Universe page where people demand to see Cat more as Cat is a very popular winner. But what they show are flashback pictures, lava walk. Sayang ang influence and the millions reached by Miss Universe.
Miss Universe IS a pageant and the MUO is not a charitable foundation. Read the About page on their website which has information on what they do. Quote: "The Miss Universe Organization empowers women to realize their personal, professional and philanthropic goals through experiences that build self-confidence and act as catalysts for future success."
San ba nanggagaling ang misconceptions about MU? Yes, they participate in charitable works and they also advance certain advocacies -AMONG OTHER THINGS. It's not a contest to find Miss Advocacy. But it's still a business organization that runs a beauty pageant and all that goes with it.
9:30 Speaking engagements other than those actually connected to the org are often by invitation, right? So that is beyond the control of MUO. Neither it is every day, not even something you do every week unless it's actually a job of yours.
I'm checking the FB page and for this month alone, she has a couple of charity events, speaking engagement, and the New York Fashion Week.
Sana talaga baguhin na nila format ng Ms U. Tanggalin na yung mkapasok sa semis by region/continents. Bakit di nalang yung deserving talaga mkapasok sa next round.
Kasi dati laging dominated ng mga Latina and semis, hindi represented ang Africa and Asia most of the time. So para mabigyan ng chance ang ibang continents they did this otherwise puro Europe, North and South America ang matatawag.
Mas inatupag ung design ng crown kaysa sa advocacy ng miss univ. Walang mapakita na advocacy event haha

Bakit sinasabing walang nagawa si Cat? Marami siyang charity events. Other than that, focused din siya sa Music Education sa schools.
