  2. Oo nga dapat Friday ang opening day kasi dun may time manood ng sine. Unfair na Wed opening tapos expected madaming manonood on the 1st day.

    2. Its not the movie per se but yung kawalan ng EXTRANG panggastos ng mga tao.

      Delete
    3. It’s not the movie or pang sine.. yung mga artista tlga yan.. bakit hnd niyo tignan ang sales ng mga sikat na loveteams.. like Kathniel hnd ba naka 600k yun even without that 13th month pay.. so para skn pag hnd gusto ng tao ang artista hnd nila gagastusan but kung nahype ng bongga sa Social media kahit hnd gaanong sikat like Kita kita may chance na kumita

      Delete
    4. 12:08 Chill. Don't forget about the crews and extras.

      Delete
    5. 4:06 Alam ko yun pero same lang sila ng working hours mas matagal at puyatan pa nga yung mga crew at extras and ME ARTISTA BANG NAGSTAND NA SAME SILA DAPAT NG SWELDO???! WALA!!!! Hahahahaha! Kaya walang artistang pipiyok!!! Pag me bonus ba kasama pati mga crew like pag me kumitang pelikula like 800M????! Wala pa akong narinig na me ganun puro mga artista ang me BONUS!!!

      Delete
    6. Wala yan sa panggastos 12:08. Movies(except mmff) are targeted naman talaga sa mga can afford. Yung timing kasi. Unless its a super popular movie, people will wait until friday and weekends bago manood.

      Delete

  5. Harsh sila sa Elise! Grabe! Something na pinaghirapan at ipakita sa audience aalisin agad agad after ONE DAY?! One day??!!! Suporta di lang ng moviegoers ang kailangan most of all

    1. The sad thing is maganda talaga ang Elisse, di lang nabigyan ng chance. Read the reviews

    2. Baks, maganda cya. Unfortunately karamihan ay may oras lang para manood during the weekends. Kaso by then napull out na sa ibang cinemas.

      Delete
So bakit nga gagastos ng 300 pesos to watch this movie?

      Delete
    2. 233 matagal ng laos c Enchong at wag ipagpilitan pa at c Janine nman pang tv sya kaya di kataka.takang flop yung movie nila.

    3. walang nanood girl kaya pinull out, 2:33

  10. There should be a law protecting and promoting the Philippine arts. Whether it be movies, concerts and or theater plays. Lahat dapat nabibigyan ng chance. All these movie theaters should have atleast 1 theater showing local movies for atleast 2 weeks. Hindi 1 day after it's shown and hindi maganda ang reception on the first day eh i-pull out nila agad.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
Bottomline is, walang gusto manood. Sympre business din yung movie theaters noh. Hindi charity.

      Delete
They don't pay for the salaries of your employees or the use of electricity.

      Delete

      Business is business .

      Delete
    4. business is business. These cinemas can live without local movies. They can show foreign movies alone and still profit. Why stick to a local movie for one week if hindi ka naman kikita? Local moviemakers kasi they just make films with themes na gusto nila, kung sinong artista gusto nila and expect cinemas to run their movies long, eh kung wala naman nanonood? kung gusto nila, tayo na lang sila ng mga sinehan nila para kahit one month pa nila iplay yung movie nila.

      Delete
    5. That’s ridiculous. You are going to force them to lose money. They’ll go bankrupt. It’s not your money. You can’t have any say in that.

  11. May movie palang Elisse. Mas alam ko pang may movie na Bato.

  12. Even in the US, most drama and romcoms dont perform well on theater. Mostly it is the multimillion budgeted fantasy movies that do well. So what happens - after being shown in theater, they sell DVD and blue rays. After that they stream it in Amazon, netflix, etc. Also there are millions of homesick filipinos living outside the US who are willing to buy the DVD or blue ray. Unfortunately that does not happen with local cinema. Why not capitalize on this. Because there are movies that I wont go to the theater but will buy it on DVD or blue ray or pay to watch it in Amazon, Itunes or netflix or TFC.

    1. Huuuy, bes. true ka jan. Natumbok mo. There are a lot of movies that overseas Filipinos would love to watch but cannot simply because they are not shown in the overseas movie houses. If they are available in DVDs you can only buy them in Filipino stores if there are any in the cities where Filipinos leave. A good example is Ms Granny, I know a lot of Filipinos where I live and friends who are in a different countries from where I live where the movie was not shown (di naman kasi Star Cinema production). We waited and waited in vain for the movie to be shown in our cities. Only Star cinema movies or those which SC is a co producer get to be streamed for a fee at tfc.tv. Well, there are other good movies na di naman nag box office hit but still inaantay ng mga Pinoys abroad na mapanood. I hope tfc will able to include in their streaming, movies made by other production outfits. I for one will be willing to watch such for a fee.

    2. They show it Viva/Regal/SC movies on TFC naman and in the first few months na andun sa platform, it's on pay-per-view.

I really think producers like Regal Films need to work on their marketing tactics. Viva seems to be doing well naman because they know how to market their movies and they have bankable stars. Regal kasi, mahina star power ng cast and mahina marketing nila. Their teasers/trailers don't show their movies' potential. They need to be more creative and smart lalo na sa social media marketing.

    1. correct! if the film has no added value or hindi ko kilala ang mga artista, bakit ako magaaksaya ng panahon pumunta sa sinehan when I can enjoy watching from the comforts of my home?

  14. Find other solutions kasi.. Likeoo nga tama fridays or weekends. Db.. Saka iba na kasi ang panahon natin napaka convenient na lahat, in a snap oede mong makita thru online. Digital na almost lahat so. Yubg worth a dime naman.

  15. Straight to DVD nalang dapat sila.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Straight to streaming site like iFlix na lang dapat.

  16. for the producers, makinig muna kayo sa gustong mapanood ng tao bago kayo mag invest in puchu puchu films.

  18. Ticket fee =250 - 280
    Snacks = 100 - 200
    Pamasahe = 40 - 150

    Who would spend that much

  20. From my understanding ang moviehouse ang may say kung ano at hanggang kelan ipapalabas ang isang pelikula.

That said, nagririsk ang sinehan kasi nagbubukas ng aircon, kuryente, tao sa booth so may minimum na ticketsales para di malugi ang Sinehan. So first day pa lang alam na nila kung lugi o hindi. And if they continue to show the film, eh mas lalaki ang lugi.

Business pa din sila after all. The fact na ipinalabas ka nila, i think magpasalamat ka. So ibig sabihin nagtiwala o sumugal sila sa pelikula.

But ticketsales never lie. Kung walang bumili wala talaga.

    My solution?
    1. Gumawa ng magandang pelikula. PERIOD. That’s how big of a fan of movies i am.
    2. Promotion. Kita kita, tadhana, were not mainstream but was the talk of the town. WORD OF MOUTH is the best promotion i say.
    3. Negotiation with movie theaters. Example, kung ang going commission rate ay 5%, ang producer can say sa first week of showing 1% lang. pero dapat di ipull out ang movie for one week magperform pr hindi. Something like that.

They go more for holywood films.

Goyo, respeto, birdshot, signal rock, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  22. 1:36, define Philippine Arts? If you want to impose a law protecting movies like those starred by vg tuwing mmff, i dont think so.

    ReplyDelete
Basta magaling Umarte. Good movie at good actors.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Friday opening won’t make a difference if nobody wants to see the films.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Simply lang yan. You can’t force people to watch bad films.
