    2. I can speak Tagalog, pero may accent pa Amd my whole career I was told to speak English because the majority of my work was in SE Asia and cannot speak Tagalog. . Sorry po talaga. - Kc

    4. On one side may matatas managalog pero walang pagmamahal as bayan. Iba iba ang paraan magpakita nito. Mula sa responsableng waste disposal, sa pag bayad nag tamang buwis. Di lahat sa language naka base. Lawakan ng kaunti ang pag iisip.

    5. Baka need niya munang igive up yung Isang Citizenship Niya maybe he wants a Dual Citizenship or ginive up kasi nung local parent niya from here yung citizenship kaya hirap siyang kumuha. Pero kung me maicocontribute siya like sa mga hilig ng mga Sinumpang Pinoy like Hollywood e for sure mabilis pa sa alas kwatro me citizenship na siya! or.....sugurin niya yung West Phillipine Sea at itake over niya yung mga islands at paalisin mga Chinese dun....kaso hindi naman siya si Hanma Yujiro....

    7. Naku need pala Naturalized. KC NEEDS SOME MILK! Evaporada ba siya o Condensada?

      Delete
    8. 12:39 Tagalog? Paano yung mga nagbi-Bisaya, Bicol, Ilocano, etc? Di pwedeng maging citizen? DUH!

      Delete
    9. Bakit hindi pa kasi siya magpaNEUTRALIZE? Para tapos na agad.

      Delete
    10. Baka at the time of his birth american citizen na din Mom nya and hindi pa o hindi nag apply ng dual citizenship, hence, kailangan nya magpa naturalize para maging Pilipino.

  2. I wonder, why can't he be a filipino citizen?

    1. Kaya nga. Bakit kaya? Pero nakaka mangha kasi bakit gusto kaya nya mag filipino citizen? Eh kung US ang passport nya, di sya mahihirapan pag mag tatravel

      Delete
    2. Baka kulang sa requirements. His mother is a US citizen from birth.

      Delete
    3. 1:05 kasi pag hindi Filipino citizen, you cannot buy real estate property in the Philippines. Unlike sa US, pag hindi ka US citizen makakapag bili ka pa rin ng real estate. Unfair noh?

I purposely reacquired my Filipino citizenship last year because of this issue.

      Delete
    4. Maraming requirements. Pinakamahirap yung 10 year Continuous residence.

      Delete
    5. His mother is not a Filipino citizen.

      Delete
    7. Because the dual citizenship law was passed at a certain time. If kc's pinoy mom became a us citizen before passing that ra bill.. then Kc is not eligible

      Delete

    1. What makes you think I can’t speak Tagalog? I can, though still has an accent. My conversation Tagalog is quite ok. Also for the majority of my career I was told to speak English since most of my programs were seen by other confirms that can’t soeak Tagalog. - Kc Montero

    3. He can speak Tagalog. He just doesn't have Filipino accent but he can communicate well, whether English or Tagalog.

      Is that wrong?

      Delete

      Delete
    6. 12:50, do you think the Filipinos abroad don't make money there, as you said it, pinagkakaperahan?

      Delete
    7. So can you say the same sa mga OFWs na “pinagkakaperahan” din ang bansang tinitirahan nila? And sa tingin mo ba marunong din sila ng language ng kung san man sila nakatira? Isip isip din! Dont be too high and mighty!

    1. May specific rules kasi to be naturalized. Sa case niya baka continuous 10 year residence. Di ba bumalik siya sa US? Yung Brown Lee ba may 1O years na sa Pinas?

      Delete
    2. Wala pang 10 years si Brown Lee dito

Bakit my exemption sa batas ganon pala yon.

    2. Kaya may filipino citizenship yang brown lee cause if I remember correctly, they asked to congress to pass a law specifically for him. Allowing him to have his philippine citizenship

      Delete
    3. Which makes it more unfair for other people who are trying to get a citizenship. May napapala kasi sila kay Brown Lee kaya ganon @9:38am

      Delete

  12. Hi this post means no offense but seek more professional advice and check Phil Constitution books or the site lawphil.net

This became our exam in college, this has been a case ever since. you're not the first one mr Montero. they might have their points why too. speaking or understanding Filipino is not the case, dont mind others. :)

  15. If he’s an american citizen by birth, he can’t acquire dual citizenship, but he can be naturalized here. Tayo naman if we were Filipino by birth, pwede tayo magpadual citizenship. Our country’s constitution? allows that. Mas flexible pag may dual citizenship ka kasi may options ka if ever which is not applicable sa kaso nya.

    ReplyDelete

    1. It is very hard to give up US citizenship because you don't know what will happen in the future. Dual citizenship is the only way to go, if qualified.

      Delete
    2. You dont have to give it up naman eh di mag dual sya.

      Delete
    3. 8:07, hindi siya puwedeng mag-dual.

      Delete
  16. Natural born vs naturalized

Natural born = born of either Filipino mom or dad; just file petition for dual cit

Naturalized = foreign; go through the process of naturalization/act of Congress

The technicality he might be referring to is that his mom may have already been a US cit by the time he was born

    ReplyDelete
  17. Nag renounce ng citizenship either nanay nya or lola/lolo nya kaya di sya ma naturalise

    ReplyDelete
  18. Pakasal na lang kasi to a filipino citizen:) it’s about time na!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Then give up his US citizenship if he applies for naturalization? I wouldn't do it.

      Delete
    2. 3:51 anuber he doesnt need to renounce his US citizenship. Pwede maging dual.

      Delete
    3. 8:08 nope. Their constitution doesn’t allow that.

      Delete
    4. 8:08, US ang hindi allowed na gawin iyan. Kapag nag-naturalized Filipino citizen siya, kailangan niyang i-give up ang US citizenship niya. Kahit ako hindi ko gagawin iyon.

      Delete
  19. Omg e bakit si matsunaga naging pinoy?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yung Filipina mom kasi nila US citizen na nung pinanganak sya.
