  1. Unfortunately, di naman yan makikita at maa-appreciate pag nirampa. It’s pabonggahan, not pa-“deep”an.

      Delete
    3. 12:43am, that's a well-thought and meaningful national costume so far. Even South American countries have heavy and well-made costumes kaya. This is the first time na hindi maria clara costume ang ginamit. Sus!

      Delete
    4. 12.53 ung kinukuda mo ba may maitutulong haha

      Delete
    5. Again poor execution. Ang hirap ni cat rumampa while pulling her parol. Then ang daming meaning ng costume nya.. the judges need to figure out its meaning in a span of how many seconds..

      Delete
    6. "This is the first time na hindi maria clara costume ang ginamit. Sus!" @2:26 is this your first time na manuod ng pageant?

    7. Lakas ng impact ng Ms. Japan. 😂 from traditionial biglang naging cosplayer. Very entertaining at totoong tatak Japan. 😊 katuwa din yun naging mermaid.

    8. 8:58 - TO PUT IT IN PERSPECTIVE, THE COMMENTER MEANT MISS UNIVERSE.

      Delete
    9. Bakit hindi ginagawan ng Katipunero/Katipunera costume, ? Or Sarimanok? Or Indigenous tribesman/woman?

      Delete
    10. sayang talaga yung costumes na walang pailaw. im sure kung nag work ang lights, kabog to. just like my foreign co-workers na nakakita ng parol sa pampangga, napa-wow..

      Delete
    11. cat explain the natcos, kasi may mga bashers na gaya mo, en kahit mag explain pa nya ang algebra or trigonometry eh wall nya nya, she has the right.

      Delete
  2. Sa hinaba haba ng hanash.. Clapper din ang bagsak.

    1. My gosh. Would you listen to yourself????

      Delete

    ReplyDelete
  5. Wala kasing naka appreciate during her rampa so she needs to write down pa all para lang masabing may deep meaning. Lupang hiniranv in baybayin? Sino bang makakarecognize nun? Kapwa pinoy nga hindi e

    1. Actually, no. Hindi yan titingnan ng judges kasi wala naman talagang bearing ang Nat Cos sa scores nila come Miss Universe coronation night.

      Delete
    2. 7:46 - MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY. IT'S NOT SCORED.

      Delete
    3. true, ang bearing ay nasa interview nila kahapon, dun kukuha ng top 15. additional eksena lang yan ng mga beauty pageant to represent their countries.

      Delete

    ReplyDelete
  7. Panget ung costume PERIOD. DAME PA HANASH

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. 12:46 - PANGIT BECAUSE IT'S PRECOLONIAL?

      Delete
    2. Hindi. Pangit kasi hindi talaga maganda baks.

      Delete
  8. If you have to explain...ibig sabihin walang naging impact. Contrived masyado na palalimin ang symbol, too much going on with the costume.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Truth!!!! A great costume doesnt need explanations. Unang tingin dapat gets na ng tao.

      Delete
    2. Correct! If you have to explain your costume, then you must be wearing the wrong costume.

      Delete
    3. Lahat ng costumes inexplain ng mga hosts during their walk. KUNG napanood nyo, malalaman nyo.

      Delete

      Delete
    5. 4:30 no one is questioning about the concept. Its the execution. Kung ieexhibit yan mas ok kasi may time ung mga makakakita at may time sila basahin ung details ng costume nya kahit isang oras compared to miss universe na you are only given less than a minute to showcase.

      Delete
  9. As much as i think napaka unnecessary ng details sa parol nya and the size, i have to give it to her for walking down the stage gracefully kahit na obvious na hirap na hirap sya at di natin sure kung gusto ba nya yung ginagawa nya (haha)

    ReplyDelete
  10. As if naman ijujudge yang costume mo based sa meaning. Just like the Q and A portion, Philippine bets always give the best responses pero hindi naman nila ikina Ms. Universe yun.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Sa presinto kana magpaliwanag. Charot.

    ReplyDelete
  12. You only have seconds to show your costume. With over 90 candidates judges will have no time to research and dig deeper about your costume details. Pageant ito hindi essay writing contest or debate tournament. First impresion lasts. Yan effect pag masyado kasing nag hype ung team mo. Daming pakulo tapos paglabas you werent able to meet your hype.

    1. At least she did something that actually means something. Eh ikaw????

      Delete
    2. Well i wrote something that actually hurt ur feelings.

      Delete
    3. @1:22 Hindi lahat ng babae pangarap magbeauty pageant. We can do something that actually means something sa ibang paraan.

      Delete
    4. 1:22 bakit tinatanong mo si 1:03? Di naman siya topic dito lol

      Delete

      Delete
    6. Andito yata yung ibang camp hehehehe

      Delete
    7. How about stop being hypocrites??! @ 1:36 @1:35

      Delete
    8. If you can’t do better than someone, just shut the hell up. Lol

      Delete

    ReplyDelete
  14. Madami sigurong disappointed sa costume niya kaya kailangang magexplain.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Nope, hindi ako disappointed. As a Mindanaoan, specifically from the Land of the Dream Weavers, SUPER PROUD AKO!

      Delete
    2. Not really on her costume but how her costume affected her performance. The idea was not executed properly as planned i think.

      Delete
    3. I have high hopes for her and i was disappointed with her natcos but i still hope na manalo si Pusa!

      Delete
  15. Maganda naman symbolism nung costume nya pero kung winning sa Natcos ang habol nya waley yun kase di naman standout from the rest. Mas mapapansin siguro kuung gumawa sya ng gimik sa pagrampa like may papana sa kanya at hindi sya tatamaan kundi yung parol then biglang iilaw parang yung mga circus shows chos! haha

    ReplyDelete
  16. It's unfortunate that its deep meaning did not translate to how it looks, and it had a malfunction during presentation. Nevertheless, I am 100% rooting for Catriona. Go go go Catriona and represent the country to the best of your abilities! Go Philippines!

    ReplyDelete
  17. she did not pull it, halatang nahihirapan siya itulak. No grace on the walk.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Because it’s not really about the walk. When Miss Cambodia won Best in Nat Cos 2 years ago, ramdam din natin kung gano siya nahirapan at nabigatan sa dala niyang back drop. But still, she won.

      Delete
    2. Also myanmmar won at mbgat din kaya malay natin manalo or India ksi hndi sukatan ang projection lng kailangan maemphasize ang significance mismo..

      Delete
    3. 2:42 Cambodia ba yun? I thought Myanmar.. also, mas maganda naman kasi pagkabitbit nung sinasabi mo at bumulaga sa lahat. e itong pambato natin ngayon, lahat ng kultura nilagay na diyan. sana stick to one na lang. regarding sa parol naman, ginaya lang sa iba yun concept, pero waley tlaga. unlike those countries we mentioned, maayos tlaga kasi yun lang ang theme. etong ngayon chopseuy!

      Delete
  18. Catriona, indegenous people wear nothing in the middle ages!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
LOL.

      Delete
  19. You forgot to mention the Manobos, the Subannons and the Tirurays! Sino ba researchers mo?h

    2. 1:51 - AT LEAST SHE STILL REPRESENTED THE MARGINALIZED. E IYONG PAST CANDIDATES? HAHA!

      Delete
    3. Di na nga niya mahila, dadagdagan mopa! :D

      Delete
  20. Hang Panget!!!!

      Delete
    3. 12:22 para pala tong school event may essay writing contest na, may poster making contest pa. Ito naman si 8:40 inis na hahahahah

  25. Grabe naman yung iba mag comment. Masama ba magexplain? Ang informative nga eh. Can’t we just appreciate our kababayan?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Sana next time filipiniana nalang talaga tas with kalesa ganun😅

    ReplyDelete
  27. Naku catriona..

Gusto ko ung costume mo w/o that backdrop. Ayun lang.

    ReplyDelete
  31. National Costume contest is a side event. It does not affect the results and is not part of the main criteria. She just wanted to showcase Philippine culture unlike last year na di mo makitaan ng something Filipino.

Anyways, ang toxic lang ng mga tao. This is exactly what’s wrong with Filipinos. We deserve the situation we are in dahil sa sama ng ugali ng mga Pinoy.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. This is soooo TRUE!!! Super toxic! No. 1 bashers of Filipinos are, unfortunately, Filipinos.

      Delete
  32. Sana actual na parol made with lightweight materials na umiilaw ang dinala nya.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Oo nga dapat light, airy, simple, elegante at may audience impact!

      Delete
    2. Gagaling nyo. Sali kayo next year tas yan NatCos nyo.

      Delete
    3. 11:21Kung gusto ko pahirapan sarili ko and allow the parol to eat me whole, kebs.

      Delete
  33. The nipples though, panget ng effect

    ReplyDelete
  34. Well good luck nalang Kung mapasama sya kahit sa semis. She's all hype lang naman pero never talaga sya nag stand out. Nagbe-blend lang sya e. Plus Everytime she speaks rehearsed na rehearsed.

Hndi pa pala sha stand out nun?

      Delete
    2. 4:32 Trulaley! Haha. Taas ng standards ni mumsh

      Delete
    3. I agree with 4:32, she's all hype. Her rabid fans will attack you though if you give your opinion that is not in favor of Catriona. Please, don't shove her down our throats if for us she's not a standout. She's just one of those pretty face.

      Delete
    4. Maybe u mean you agree with 11:32, 11:39?

      Delete
    5. masyadong magaling tong ANON 11:32AM, bat di ka sumali?

      Delete
    6. 3:18 can't we discuss based on the point of view without attacking the person? You just validated the statement of 11:39 about catriona's "rabid fans". Not ANON 11:32am and Not ANON 11:39pm

      Delete
  35. She’s beautiful so she doesn’t need too much makeup. Minsan her eye makeup is too strong.

    ReplyDelete
What’s wrong with her nose? Retoke ba yun?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. GRabe! Kalokah! Kakasuka ugali mo bakla! Crab Sobra!!

      Delete
    2. OMG gano ka kaganda at napangitan ka talaga ke Catriona hahaha! Maski mga ex beauty queens like Miss Canada 2017 girl crush sha!

      Delete

      Delete
    4. Ateng ang talangka kinakain. Hindi inuugali 🙄

      Delete
    5. E ano naman Kung for 1:27 Hindi maganda si Catriona? Beauty is subjective. Maaaring ang maganda for 1:27 ay pangit for you and ang pangit for her/him at maganda para sa kanya. And by the way, you don't need the validation from others when it comes to beauty. So kebs Kung lahat ng ex beauty queen crush sya e for 1:27's point of view e pangit sya.

      Delete
    6. I totally agree with 11:43, beauty is subjective. Whatever floats your boat as long as you give your opinion in a respectful manner. For me naman, Catriona is pretty pero she's not a standout. If she's sorrounded with other equally beautiful ladies, Hindi ka mapapatingin agad sa kanya e. She blends in kumbaga, which is not a good thing.

      Delete

      Delete
  37. Para sa lahat ng sangkabaklaan na puro hanash pero alaws sa tuktok, bago pa siya lumabas with that prusisyon ng parol, eh may prinoduce na silang short "docu" about the costume. Kaya whether you liked it or not talagang meron na siyang explanation diyan.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Too many judges here... Let's just wish her luck and that she can do her best. Go Cat GO Philippines

    ReplyDelete
  39. Well, the National Historical Commission of the Philippines wanted to exhibit her costume because of it features the history of our country. The designers did well on their reseach. It is a costume yes, but it can educate us

    ReplyDelete
  40. Catriona’s national costume presentation was not perfect and it was indeed polarizing. Personally, i found it stunning in HD, stills and in moments when Cat did not need to drag the backpiece on a carpeted stage. It ignited a sense of pride and prompted me to learn more/again about our culture.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Something beautiful doesn't need to be explained.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. True! Andaming paandar tapos hndi naman kayang panindigan tapos pag pumalpak andaming rason at sasabihin agad dinaya.

      Delete
    2. 1:57 - IT'S NOT SCORED SYEMPRE HINDI TALAGA MANANALO SA PART NA IYAN.
