    13. For Australia to do this- so low and pathetic. Cat represents Philippines. Deal with it! As Cat said- I stand here as 104 million Filipinos. She did not said for Australians. Hello???

      Delete
    14. Ah, ganon ba?
So, while they are claiming Catriona Gray to be theirs, they have simultaneously disowned their very own Ms. Australia 2018 for very poor showing at Ms. Universe.
Ang galing nila Ano? Patawa pero the joke is on them, more specifically on their crowned Ms. Australia 2018. Tsk! tsk! tsk!

  6. It's ok. Let us share our glory with them. Catriona is carrying a Philippine sash anyway, so it's still ours. It's just that, she gThis is just like Bruno Mars being half pinoy half latin but is being called an american singer because he chose to be called american. Catriona chose to be called a Filipino and that's all that matters.

    ReplyDelete

    1. She just chose the sash mamshie. Of course she knows which sash has the stronger bearing.

      Delete
    2. Kaloka she is australian. Born and raised. Anong share e dun siya lumaki at nagkamalay. She just joined here to make a career. Wag maging tard kapatid. Opportunity ang tiningnan niya dito.

      Delete
    3. Very well said bakshie 👏👏👏

      Delete
    4. Bruno Mars was born and raised in the US.

Cat was born and raised in Australia.

      Big difference.

      Delete
    5. Her father is Scottish living in Australia. Wala syang dugong Australian.

      Delete

      Delete
    8. Haha 1:35 at walang contest si Bruno

      Delete
    9. BB PILIPINAS WOULDN'T HAVE LET HER JOIN THE PAGEANT IF SHE DIDN'T OWN A PHIL PASSPORT. AND IF YOU HAVE A PASSPORT, IT MEANS YOU'RE A CITIZEN OF THE ISSUING COUNTRY SO YES SHE'S FILIPINA, TOO.

    10. Ang mga Australians talagang they came from somewhere else, usually UK, Ireland and Europe, or Chinese, Viet, etc unless aborigine ka or Torres strait Islander. Aussie ang father nya na Scottish origin. Aussie citizen sha. FYI lang.

      Delete
She is a model here. She even have built a preschool and nagfundraise. Dito ang mga advocacies nya, so why would you say na sumali lang sya for the Philippines sash?

      Delete
  7. Oh well, she represented and brought the PH flag so she’s Ms. Universe PHILIPPINES :)

    ReplyDelete

    1. 7:01 dahil yun ang alam nyang may chance syang manalo o umingay manlang ang pangalan. Keber lang sa australia ang ms. U hindi naman big deal dub

      Delete
    3. 2:13 - BUT MISS AMERICA IS BIGGER THAN MISS USA IN THE US.

      Delete
    4. She is australian born period! Her native land is australia! These half caucasian/half pinoys have no career in their own country that's why they come to the Phils. because they're look upon as demi-Gods! Mga pinoy majority hilig sa tisoy/tisay!

She went there and compete as Ms. Philippines so kahit anong claim nila she’s Ms. Philippines. Be happy also at least narerecognize she in and put the country, meaning more opportunities for her after her reign as Ms. U. She deserves it! Unlike yun mga naging beauty queens natin na extra nalang sa mga movies at teleserye after their reign.

    3. She chose to carry the PH sash cos she knows na dito iingay ang name nya. That’s strategy my dead. Di naman sya born and raised dito

      Delete
    4. 12:20 paulit-ulit? Career lang ba talaga pakay niya? Bakit mas madami pa siyang natulungan dito kesa sa mga personalities, etc. na born and raised here?

      Delete

She CHOSE the PHILIPPINES, unlike so many others na ayaw man lang matawag na Pinoy.

    3. Next year sali ka ha. Sa tingin mo ibang contestants hindi ganon. Ampalaya!

      Delete

      Delete
    7. FYI, Margie, Pia and Cat are all half filipino, si gloria lang ang pure native. so anong bago sa half? unless kahapon k lng pinanganak.

      Delete
  13. Sawsaw pa more kayong mga aussies.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. height? sigurado ka eh ang mga pinoy hindi naman katangkaran but the face yes, from her mom, body pede naman i-achieved basta desidido sa work out, eating healthy at walang bisyo.

      Delete

      Delete
    3. FYI lang ha. Unless Native ka, talagang ang mga aussie came from
Somewhere else. Nag settle sa Australia, usually from UK, ireland, european countries and then later from china, vietnam etc.

Aussie tatay nya kasi Aussie citizen sha. Same with Cat.

      Delete
    4. 3:41 FYI Scottish Tatay ni Cat pero nagmigrate sa Australia. So Australian by citizenship only.

      Delete
    5. 12:20PM Citizenship naman talaga ang ibig sabihin ng Australian dahil wala namang "Australian" na dugo unless katutubo or natives ka nila (aborigines or Torres Strait Islanders). Lahat ng tao dito, galing sa early settlers from Britain, Ireland, then Europe, then Chinese, Vietnamese, Filipino, etc. =)

So Australian ang Tatay ni Cat dahil Australian citizenship niya. Yun ang ibig sabihin ng "Australian".

      Delete
  14. Gusto ata ng Australia ng giyera? Hindi sila China para katakutan!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Sabaw lang ang utak, baks? Seriously? The Aussies are proud of her...why? Because she's born and raised here. Kung ang mga Pinoy nga, kung maka proud pinoy pag may sumasaling halfie sa mga contests at nagkakandarapa ang mga advertising companies to get them eh...naman ha!

      Delete

    ReplyDelete
  17. If she joined Ms. Australia Universe, would the Australian judges give her a chance to represent their country? I dont think so.

    ReplyDelete
  18. In an interview tinanong sya kung kinoconsider nya b ang sarili nya as australian-fil or fil-australian.. sabi nya fil-australian.. dun p lang maging happy tayo.. mas love nya ang philippines

  20. Cat is a daughter of a Filipina and a Scottish born and raised in Australia. So useless to ask her to choose between mom and dad’s background because Australia will never come up. It’s just a place where she was born.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies

      Delete
    3. 11:39 Correction, she trained to be a model here in the Philippines during her teenage years and she studied in the US. SHE may have spent her childhood in Australia but then She lived in the Philippines and US as well.

      Delete
    2. siguro kasi sa pinas lumaki si pia

      Delete
    3. Tama ka 12:37, dito lumaki si Pia and she's never been to/lived in Germany plus the magulong family background with the Dad

      Delete
    4. Pia was raised here. Talagang Pinoy culture and environment ang kinalakihan niya. And even the way she speaks, very Pinoy pa din. So, although naging issue din naman pagiging halfie nya before, hindi on the same level as Cat. Kasi si Cat talagang born and raised in Australia.

Although bottomline pa din naman is they both CHOSE TO REPRESENT THE PHILIPPINES. End of story. :)

    3. I'm from Brisbane, and it's our main newspaper and distributed everywhere here.

      Delete
    4. The news about Miss U is so yesterday..literally. Nakapag moved on na mga Aussie. Pageants isn't that popular here. Yes, it's in the mainstream and tabloid news but it doesn't lasts long. Aussies are more into sports.

    5. Ahh 2:41 you are from brissy the try hard melbournians haha.. if it was written by THE AGE or SYDNEY MORNING HERALD that would be a concern. But honestly wala kasing ganap city niyo teh kaya kahit nanahimik ma miss u pinapatulan.. Tabloid levels nga.. hahaha it doesn't mean it is distributed everywhere it is well written na.. ABANTE nga distributed everywhere..credible na agad?

      Delete
    6. 4.18 huh? Why are you upset? I said it's distributed everywhere here (cafe's, offices, doctors surgeries etc) in Brisbane, not Australia. Calm down. Just wanted to correct the "no one reads the Courier Mail" when it's literally the main newspaper of Australia's third largest city. Not sure why that pushed your buttons, no need to get nasty

      Delete
    7. 4:18 FYI Murdoch controls most of the news in Australia. So, if there is any independence in the news it would be from The Guardian.

      Delete
  24. Oh well, tama nga naman. Shes still a Filipino and Australian, but she chose to represent the Philippines since obviously, dito naman talaga career ni cat, since teenage days niya her face is all over tv na dito sa atin.

    4. That’s a fact

      Delete
  26. galawang pinoy din pala mga aussies haha

    ReplyDelete
  27. Well, it's her heritage. My assumption is that Cat's having dual citizenship. And since her father is originally a Scot, share the honour too with Scotland's pageant followers.

Honestly, no big deal. Cat knows more than anything else which country she represented. Halfies can not help the circumstances of their birth nor the nationalities and race of their parents. 😉

    ReplyDelete
  28. I think Cat may not win as Miss Universe if she wasn't there as Miss Philippines. I think Philippines has more impact when it comes to MU. Proud Australian sila ngayon?lol

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hello guys, Cat doesnt need to choose no, the fact that she carried the miss philippines sash, she chose the Phils. And beside its her mother dream, and throughout her miss u journey she showed us how she loves the Phils esp Albay

    ReplyDelete
  30. That's because she chose to be Miss Philippines and you can see it's in her heart to do so. All the outfits and accessories she chose paid homage to PH not Australia. So dream on, Australia. Your candidate had a beautiful face and an ugly sad heart.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Hello? Dont make agaw Philippine pride because Tatay Digong will protest to make bawi what’s belong to ours! Read about the Balangagiga bells please

    4. Even during the pre Hispanic colonization, the Philppines, because of its geography, has been the melting pot of trade and different cultures, like the Aetas from The African continent, Polynesia, Micronesia,Malays, Chinese, Indonesians, Colonizers came, Spaniards, Americans, Japanese, and with those years, more of diversity Of bloods and culture. At present, with the world being smaller due to migration, more Filipinos are interracial. Even within the Philippine archipelago, we have hundreds of dialects, like Ilocano, Kapampangan, Waray, Pangasinense, Tagalog, Cebuano, etc. Are we those other peoples? No, We are Filipinos. Diverse, yet united as one country. Hope we can apply more in our lives what Catriona is advocating, like being positive and not letting negativity foster in our hearts, not giving up despite setbacks, helping those in need, seeing the beauty and silver lining in everything. Our lives does not stop after a beauty pageant. After this, we all go back to our homes and lives, and hopefully, individually and collectively, we apply these lessons we learned in our lives, and pass them on to other children and children’s children.

    4. I think the only contestants who looked more like a typical pinoy e si quiambao at tugonon e. doesn't mean that the half pinoys can't compete. miski naman dto sa Canada, karamihan ng nakatira, very diversified ang lahi, so im sure si miss Canada, may ibang lahi ren.. feel ko, sa ibang bansa ganyan den.

  49. TRUTH BE TOLD - she will never win Miss U without her Australian blood. Her height & communication skills were all provided for by the Australian blood.

We're only talking about Catriona here. Do you think she'll grow up 5'9 kung Pinoy ang tatay niya? Do you think she'd have that very pleasant English-speaking tongue and excellent communication skills kung sa Pamantasan ng Bangkusay Balut Tondo siya nagtapos? (i made up this school for arguments sake) Kaya nga nagfocus lang ako sa height at sa english eloquence kasi yan ang hindi nareretoke sa Pilipinas. For the most part, only half-breeds ang nakaka-jackpot sa mga ganyan. Ang sa akin lang give credit where it is due. Let the australians rejoice. like i said, the physical beauty of catriona is partly contributed by the Aussie in her. tapos!

So push lang. no nega

    4. if we're just basing it all sa height and communication skills, d hamak na may mas matangkad sa kanya at halos lahat marunong naman mag English.

  58. Manood kayo ng TWBA interview niya. Dun sinabi niya na she considers herself Filipino-Australian and not Australian-Fiipino. It wasn't her choice to be born in Australia but it's her choice to come to the Philippines.
