Insta Scoop: Story Behind the Birth of Alas Joaquin

I am overwhelmed to be sharing one of the most amazing experience of my life by far. I don't take that statement lightly because I had the privilege of doing many amazing things in my life. Getting this opportunity to be at the birth of Alas when Kylie gave birth to him. It is the most incredible thing I've ever witnessed and something I will never forget. On August 4 at 10:31PM we welcomed this little prince into the world. HELLO from the outsiiide — ALAS JOAQUIN 👶🏼 On that very moment, there was an undeniable energy taking over the delivery room that I can't describe. I've known and seen Kylie as a physically strong person, it was the first time I saw her so weak, shaking, in so much pain throughout her four days of laboring. Grateful for Irina, her birth doula, she has given Kylie emotional and physical support during and after labour. Kylie and AJ's birth plan was to deliver Alas through water birth and all natural, but like what Ms @marieltpadilla had said, Kylie fought so hard and did it her best but sometimes things are not in our control, Kylie's cervix did not dilate fully when they reached 8cm, so she decided to go w normal delivery. Seeing Alas for the first time was a beautiful moment for everyone in the room. It is true, that once the mother has finally seen her child, all the pain goes away, atleast for few precious minutes, Kylie even cut her umbilical cord and was able to stand and walk to check on Alas few hours after delivery. I'm so proud of you @kylienicolepadilla, this experience made me appreciate all the mothers in the world, specially my Mama all the more. ❤️ Grabe. Congratulations to you and to AJ @ajabrenica, nakakaproud kayong dalawa, I have so much respect for both of you, for AJ's great sacrifices and to you Kylie, for braving it all. Ang tapang mo, patuloy mo kaming napapabilib. God bless the three of you. So much love for your family. ❤️ -- You're next, Momma @padillaerika 💛

  1. I dont understand what she meant by 'normal' delivery. But vaginal birth is normal delivery. Maybe she wanted natural, like no anesthesia or drugs to induce labor? Sorry, got confused with the terminology. Anyway, congrats kylie! The first pregnancy is always hard. Godbless you and your family!

    1. In Obstetrics kasi there are medical terms, what she probably mean, normal is by vaginal delivery or NVD and not through cesarian section.

    2. They wanted water birth, pero di natuloy dahil sa cervix chuchu kaya "normal delivery" na lang as in hindi sa tubig

  5. What's the difference between water birth & normal delivery?

    1. Waterbirthing is delivery in water. Walang interventions ng kahit anong medicine. It's more calming both for the mama and the baby. Normal spontaneous delivery is the same- only you give birth on a hospital bed and not in water. The natural way. Normal delivery as in vaginal delivery pero may intervention ng pain killers is also normal delivery but not "natural".

    2. Yung water birth po is either asa tub or inflatable pool ka manganganak no anesthesia madalas sa bahay lang. Yung normal syempre iire ka sa hospital may anesthesia yun.

    3. You can have normal delivery without anesthesia

  7. I remember my first VG delivery. Hindi ko akalain na ganun kasakit. As in nung palabas na ung baby, ung OB ko, ginupit ang cervix ko dahil maliit.

  10. Normal delivery can be natural birth as long as there are no meds involved.
