  2. Totoo ba? Parang ang bilis from 240M to 300M. Nevertheless, congrats! Effective talaga ang marketing through word of mouth than any other forms.

    1. A nice story and good acting that caters to everyone! No need for jeje/pabebe LTs for a movie to be a certified blockbusterπŸ‘πŸ»

    2. Mag compute ka teh! If 120 or 200 plus cinemas tapos ilang beses ang screentime per day. Malamang mabilis maka 300M if pinapanuod naman talaga.

    3. Kasama na kasi cguro int'l screening jan ate which is not impossible...still counting pa yan

Syempre iba yung feels.

    2. Guilty rin ako diyan. Hindi ako kasi makahintay being here in Canada. Di ko alam kung ipapalabas dito. If they do, sama ko buong family.

    1. Hindi counted MMFF sa Guillermo yata. Pa iba-iba kase. Malamang gumawa ng special award lang for alempoy. Breakthrough box office tandem chuchu. Tapos ibibigay sa SC ang BOKQ and phenomenal award.

      Delete

      Delete
    3. 1:54 i mean para sa BOKQ awards. Laging phenomenal award lang. Lets see.

      Delete
    4. Well, sana iconsoder nila how much lang yung budget versus sa kinita.

    - may kilig
    - kumita ng malaki
    - may mass appeal

Pwede na ba MMFF? Pwede na suportahan ang indie films???

    1. I'm genuinely happy for him. Hopefully, he paves the way for the other talented by underrated and invisible "Empoys" out there. Its time they be given a break.

      Delete
  9. Malaking bagay talaga pag magaling ang acting. I hope the success of this movie paves the way for big movie outfits to produce movies that feature actors with real talents and not based on actor's popularity alone. It's a good start to also develop moviegoers' s taste or standard.

    1. I love the old star cinema movies. Pero this time sana magising na sila. Sunud sunod flops nila.

      Delete
    2. I don't think they'll change their ways anytime soon. 8 out of the Top 10 highest grossing films are from Star Cinema. Maglabas man sila ng "flops" afford pa rin nila. After all yung flops nila millions pa rin naman ang kinikita.

      Delete
But I do get it. Dami kasi sabi ng sabi flop not realizing na yung sinasabi nilang flow daw eh milyon and crossed or almost 100 million na rin.

      Delete

Philippine cinema has a lot of catching up to do.

      Delete
  10. Nagpapadding na din sila. Walang resibo ng pila after 2 weeks, exag yung gross

    ReplyDelete
    Replies

      Delete
    2. so nilibot mo lahat ng sine ganun?

      Delete
    3. bittertard spotted

      Delete
    4. Mas marunong ka pa kay sa takelya

      Delete

      Delete
    6. Ang pila sa sinehan diba for all the movies the cinema is catering to?

      Delete
    7. If they pad paano na pagdating ng bayaran ng tax?

      Delete

Graded A ba? Correct me if im wrong. Compare ng compare just to hype this movie.

      Delete
At hello... they're a small company mahahabol sila ng BIR.

      Delete
    11. It's always like that in this country. Can't believe anything.

      Delete
  11. pardon my ignorance pero paano po ito naging indie film? ang spring films ba ay isang independent film outfit at ang nag-produce ng pelikula? ano po ang role ng viva, co-producer ba or film distributor lang? kasi malaking production outfit ang viva to be considered an indie. tapos san naman papasok ang cornerstone? sila ba ang marketing arm? #seriousquestion.. sana may nakakaalam.. FYI I saw watched the movie in cinema on it's 2nd day long before it became viral but I didn't pay attention to the opening/closing credits

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It was produced by spring films which is a small production company. They only had a 10 million budget. Of course they need a distributor... so that's where Viva comes in. I don't think they had any creative input sa movie.

      Delete
    2. Kudos to Viva for distributing it. The big boss/es there smell success when they see one.

      Delete
    3. CORNERSTONE HELPED WITH MARKETING. BUT YES SPRING FILM IS A SMALL FILM OUTLET.

      Delete

LOL!

      Delete
    6. 2:08 naku yan ang sisira sa reputasyon ng Viva, kung bibigyan nila ng movie yung mga nega nilang artista na chararat, dito na lang sila mag focus kina Alempoy, strike while the iron is hot

      Delete
  12. Watched it on it's 3rd week and madami pa din tao sa sine.

    ReplyDelete
  13. First movie yata ng spring films to. Bongga agad.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Nope. Kimmydora ata. May series of flops din sila. Sinwerte lang ng bongga ngaun.

      Delete

      Delete
    3. Not the first time i think. They also produced Kimmy Dora.

      Delete

      Delete
    5. Not the first time of piolo to produce. Aside from jimmy Dora series, he produced Maynila which premiered in Cannes. They co produced Northern lights also.

  14. Kailan to ilalabas sa Canada 😭

    1. Hindi talaga kelangan gwapo para maging attractive. His sense of humor and kabaitan makes him gwapo.

      Delete

      Delete
    3. bakit, sino ba nagsabing gwapo sya?

      Delete
Pero secure siya sa sarili niya na he is very talented and a really good actor.

  16. napanood co na sha na mag isa.pero gusto co ulit panoorin at isama ang aking nanay or kaibigan.grabe. iba talaga. napakasimple pero tagos hanggang buto ang pakiramdam.. lalo na yung last scene ni Lea..huhuhu

  17. So nilampaso nya tlga un kalaban nyang pabebe movie, buti nman moviegoers are wise na rin

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
Anon 8:59, baka kainin mo sinabi mo. I have nothing against Kita Kita it is a beautiful movie pero may merits din yung story nung isa.

      Delete
    2. 2:20 kumita pero napakalaki ng production budget nitong kalaban , compared to the 10m budget ng Kita kita, yun ang tumabo sa takilya at sa mga producers. E yang sa inyo, baka nag break even lang sa kamamahal ng gastos ng production plus the TF of the actors involved.

      Delete
  18. I think overrated yung movie. Hindi naman sya ganun kaganda.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies

      Delete
    4. True, very shallow and cheaply made.

      Delete
  19. Korek overrated. May pagka corny.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Maybe you need to dig deeper to see its merit... just saying.

      Delete

      Delete
    3. Very true. It's the same corny, pabebe and very shallow movie.

      Delete
  20. Some people would it find corny pero kaysa naman sa gasgas at melodramatic na lines ng SC. Ano ba let's just be happy na naghihit ang ganitong films na di need ng LT as lead actors. Storya talaga ang binenta.

    ReplyDelete
  21. In fairness..ang tagal n showing nito d2 sa amin sa sm taytay..pili lang movie na pinapalabas d2..pg mahina pull pull out kaagad

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  24. Honestly mahirap na maniwal kung alin ang totoo when it comes to box office earnings ng movies. Wala kasi ng independent companies that track this kind of information and obviously you don't want to rely sa sinasabi ng movie company. Bakit kasi nawala ang Box Office Mojo sa Pilipinas?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Actually, basic lang yong plot and story. What is commending though is yong pagkakalahad ng istorya. Kudos to all the people behind this film!

    ReplyDelete
