Conned by a Replica

Despite their differences, Estranged Parent (EP) and Protective Parent (PP) have decided that their interests will always come second to the interest of their children. Thus, even if PP has custody of the kids, EP could now avail of visitation rights. Moreover, during special occasions concerning EP, PP makes sure that the children remember the significance of such dates. However, for EP and PP getting back together is like wishing for the planet to spin in the opposite direction. Even if they have separate lives, both are doing their best in raising the children.

During one occasion, EP probably only had good intentions for wanting to surprise his child with a birthday gift. Knowing that his child wanted a particular type of shoes, EP looked for the shoes, found them, and had the pairs of shoes wrapped. EP was excited as he had already imagined the joy on the face of his child. He rushes off and presents his gift to PP. The child was happy upon receiving what was supposed to be the perfect gift.

In school, the child proudly wore EP’s gift and hinted that the shoes were from daddy. Kids will be kids, and soon, the child was being bullied by the older kids and some poked fun at her shoes. As kids often do not lie and can be very tactless with their remarks, they all ganged up and told the child that the shoes were fake. Embarrassed, the child kept quiet and waited until it was time to go home.

As soon as the child reached home, PP asked what was wrong. After all, she did not want to see her child upset. After prodding, the child narrated the incident at school. PP stopped and thought hard about the gift. EP could not have spent much for a replica. Bothered, PP decided to check out the store that is an authorized and authentic seller of the shoes. When the clerk inspected the pair, he regretfully informed PP that the pair was indeed a replica. PP felt embarrassed as well, but still, she could not believe it that EP would gift their child a fake.

  1. The Mom is more worried about the shoes being fake instead of a bunch of kids bullying her child about shoes? What kind of children are they to be concerned about fake stuff anyway? Shouldn't they be worrying more about their grades and homework?

    1. His grades naman are okay. To address properly ang issue, nicheck niya kung fake ba or real ang sapatos kesa iinsist nilang totoo tas peke naman eh di mas lalong nabully ung bata

    2. Ay bakz. BI ito im worried about who's who. Clue naman. Ayaw ko maglinis today. Lol.

I think thats not a problem. Pag ang usapan rh bullied talaga ang bata as in everyday, ibang usapan yun. Alangan namang sugurin ng nanay yung mga nanunukso without verifying the any truth tothe root cause of panunukso. That will not be good to the childs mind.

    4. True. C should have told the teacher about the bullying incident. Call the parents and let rhem know they're raising spoiled, materialistic, cruel bullies

    5. Heard from my former teacher that most kids in the Philippines these days are more concerned about the brand of the stuff they use in school than their grades.
Where we are living now, my child goes to a local school where kids couldn't even be bothered to get their shoes repaired, what's important for them is how well you are doing in class.

Kaya natuto na rin kmi.

  2. R & C. Baka hindi rin inakala ni R na replica knowing it came from an authorized seller.

    1. Akala ko ganyan but magreread ka. Si C ay nagpunta daw sa isang authorized reseller to have the shoes checked.

    2. R did not buy shoes from the authorized dealer - prob online seller lang; it was C who verified authenticity w/ the authorized dealer.

    1. hahaha honest mistake talaga? like intentionally going to divisoria or baclaran to buy knock offs... nope, there's intent there.

    2. Or pwede din sa online store di ba 1:32. Or ig accounts. Or inutos lang bilhin ng p.a. nya. Lets not judge agad the dad.

      Delete
    5. 1:32, Nabasa mo ba? Kasi ang nakalagay, he got that from reputable online store na originals ang binebenta. So pwede talagang honest mistake. Shouldn't it be the store's fault? Binayaran nya ng mahal di ba?

      Delete
Si C ang nagpunta sa isang authorized seller to have it checked.

      Delete
Hahahaha. Dont throw stones when you live in a glass house.
