    1. Ay ang bastos naman ng ganyan. Grabe bakat yung pagkakasampal. Kahit ako? Sasampal back ako. Oo FA ako pero wala silang right sampalin ako.

    2. So, alam nila ang pangalan nung nanampal. Pati address nun madali nilang makukuha sa ticketing office. They should file a lawsuit against the passenger for assault and battery.

    3. Pwede na pala manampal ng mga FA nowadays...susunod mga sales lady naman....then mga bank tellers....then mga fastfood crew....then mga toll booth at ticket agents....call center agents.... car sales agents....

    4. I'm interested to hear the side of the passenger? What lead her to get this mad to the point na mananakit?

    7. There's just no reason to hit someone. That act is unreasonable, unacceptable, and UNCIVILIZED.

    8. Maliit din ako and I never have any problem getting help from a FA.

At isa pa kung kaya mo buhatin from bahay to airport yan, kaya mo din yan buhatin paitaas

    3. Nangyari sakin yan sa flag carrier natin domestic flight. I asked for assistance from the FA to help stow my handcarry in the overhead compartment. She said ok, but when "we" lifted the bag, she just pretended to be lifting it and I ended up carrying all the weight which I was not ready as I was expecting her to be lifting the other side. Sana inexplain na lang niya na hindi rin niya kaya or at least called the assistance of a flight steward or a male passenger. Kasi may back problem ako at masakit talaga ang nangyari sa akin. She was even very arrogant after as if she wanted to challenge me to get mad at her. She even said "ok na mam?" in a very sweet, sarcastic manner. Sayang mabait pa ako nun kasi kung ngayon nangyari yun tutusukin ko mata niya. Needless to say, because of that incident, I have no sympathy for FAs.

      Delete

      Delete
    6. Sorry but hiw heavy was your carry on baggage 1:51? I believe it should be max 7kg which is not so heavy. But then again, if 7 kg is still heavy for you since you have back problem, it's better to bring lighter luggage. It happened to me in an international flight, akala ko kasi lifting our luggage is part of their job, so pahelp pabuhat ako kay kuya FA. Sabi nya sakin "it's not my job" in a very mean and sarcastic tone. Napahiya ako but i learned not to ask their help again.

      Delete
    7. 1:51 upon buying your ticket, may option ata dun for assistance. You should have ticked it or wrote a comment or at least tell it upon checkin. Or simply tell the FA, excuse me i have back problem/disc slip or whatever, kindly help me with my leas than 7kg handcarry. Or piece of advise, wag na magdala ng mabigat na hndcarry if you cant even carry your bag! I hope you wont make tusok tusok the eyes of a foreign FA kung di ka nila tulungan ha!

      Delete
    8. 1:51 You told her you've back issues or no? And you're mean to say you've no sympathy to FAs because of that incident. That's so small-minded of you.

      Delete

      Delete
    10. 7: 28 am, tumpak po kayo... khit anong mangyari dpat hndi k manakit... maaring naging bastos ang sagot ng FA, pero sana nagsagutan nalang sila... kaso nung nanakit sya, ayan mali tuloy...never ever hurt people physically..

      Delete
    11. 7:28 kung nagbabasa ka, at initindi mo ang policy, hndi sakop ng insurance nila sng back problems kaya lifting your hand carry bag isn't part of their job. Just imagine them lifting luggages of more than 100 passengers everyday, for years. I-check in mo yan para wala kang problema.

      Delete
    12. @4:09 hindi mabigat ang bag but just the same I cannot lift because of my back. Isa pa, she agreed to help me. And just to add "cherry on top" she was very sarcastic after the incident. Sobrang arrogant. Imagine, that happened more than 15 years ago pero til now naalala ko pa. Traumatic ang pangyayari. My only regret is that I kept quiet and did not say anything. If that happens to me now, there will be violence. Demanda na kung demanda.

      Delete

      Delete
    14. 1:51 pano mo nabuhat yung bag mo from check in counter to the aircaft kung may back problem ka at hindi mo malift sa overhead bins man lang? Hopefully, you will not be in an emergency situation on any of your future flights dahil baka wala din sympatya sa yo yung FA at di ka tulungan.

      Delete
    15. 1228 if you have told her right from the start na may back problem ka cguro naawa pa sayo. And sana chineckin mo na lng knowing you have a back problem

    1. Exactly!

    2. True anon 1:28 I fly for a middle east airline as a cabin crew and even the super rich arabs on business class and first class lift their own bags. Pag mag offer ka ng help sila pa tatangi kasi they know na kaya nila and it's their responsibility. And they only ask the filipina crew if ibang lahi they don't bother asking.

    4. I kinda agree with you 2:11. At magkakalkal pa sa harap ng check in counter, not minding the other passengers.

  11. Isnt that part of their job? If it is not then the airlines must state that clearly. I get SO ANNOYED at cabin crew who do not help lift bags.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It is not their job to lift hand carry bags of the paasengers! Nag hand carry ka eh pwede mo nmn i-check in!

      Delete
    4. It's not part of their job. Next time, bring only what you can carry, otherwise, check-in your bag na lang.

      Delete
    5. do you fly frequently? if so, how come you don't know about this? It is called hand carry for a reason - it is your responsibility specially if you are completely able.

      Delete
    6. No it isn't part of their job. If the crew gets injured because of carrying the pssengers luggage, they will not be compensated by the company that's why they refuse to carry your luggage unless of course you are pregnant, injured, elderly, etc. but that is still the choice of the crew. Imagine the crew having to carry all the passengers luggage? Lets say 150 bags? And if they get injured, how will they be able to do their job properly which is to assist the passengers during an emergency evacuation if they have a broken arm or back due to lifting the passengers luggage? Please, if you think you won't be able to life your bag in the overhead bins, then pls have it checked in.

      Delete
    7. Huh? Expectation is for passengers to load their bags in the overhead bins when boarding. Also, that's why they're called "hand carry" luggage kasi expectation is dapat light lang siya enough para mabuhat on your own.

      Delete
    8. you are probably one of those cheapskate passengers who fill their handcarry luggage to the brim just so you don't pay for the baggage fee.

NO, IT IS NOT. they are there to assist passengers in cases of EMERGENCIES. FYI, airlines do not need to state that. it is YOUR responsibility to educate yourself as to your rights and obligations as a passenger. GOOGLE IT, it's free.

-not the girl in the photo nor a flight attendant

      Delete
    9. Binasa mo ba? Sabi nga most airlines do not encourage cabin crews to lift heavy bags kase di kasama sa medical insurance nila. So it is not part of their job. Maleta mo resposibilidad mo. Wag iasa sa iba. Kung mabigat di na hand carry yun. I check in mo na.

      Delete
    10. anon 12:32 AM teh d nila trabaho un. Again hand carry nga ibig sabihin magaan, madaling buhatin, madaling bitbitin. kung may mabigat ka dala dapat check in dapat un.

      Delete
    11. 12.32 you sound so self entitled no wonder FA might decline to offer you help. For the record, it's not part of their job to be anyone's punching bag.

      Delete
    12. No, lifting your bag is not part of their job and will never be. Try to imagine one cabin crew lifting every passenger's bags in their area of responsibility. I think just before take off, a couple of cabin crews will be injured already. Pls. bear in mind that flight attendants are there PRIMARILY for your safety and service comes secondary. Just common sense, airlines don't need to clearly state that! Your bag your responsibility

      Delete
    13. Dear, that's why it is called a carry-on (ex. in the US) while a hand carry in Pinas because it is a bag you can carry YOURSELF. That's why there is a weight limit that should be light enough for you to carry or lift it by yourself. If it is a heavy bag then you have to check that bag. Can you imagine if the cabin crew would help each passenger who needs or asks for help to lift their carry on to the overhead bin? That would put them the risk of having a back injury. If you cannot lift your carry on bag yourself then have that bag checked. So please next time don't be "annoyed" ok? Think about the the welfare of others first before feeling "entitled" :)

      Delete

      Delete

    17. Pahiya ka din no? Annoyed annoyed ka dyan. Feeling entitled! Dinala mo yan mula bahay nyo diba? Tapos pag dating sa eroplano biglang dinmo na kaya porkit feeling may taga buhat?

      Delete
    18. You pack it, you stack it. Simple. Baka naman first time mo mag eroplano? "Isn't it part of their job" ka pang nalalaman! Tse! Try mo gawin yan sa us airlines at baka ikaw ang nasapak nung crew.

      Delete
    19. Nakooo.. Mga katulad mp sarap tirisin. These FAs are flying constantly and they can profile anyone in just a second if the person needs help or not. Hindi nila trabaho magbuhat. But they can assure you safety, comfort or service while flying. Kaya ka nila tinutulungan either they profiled you as not-so-smart to put your luggage correctly or too short that there is a chance that your heavy luggage will fall on someone else's head. Or lets go back to the first, not so smart according to your commnent.

      Delete
    20. Meron kasing mga FAs, nag-aassist pa rin. Kaya akala siguro ng iba, part of their job.

  15. It is a commn misconception that flight attendants should be the ones placing our luggage in the overhead bin pero hindi eh. My sister told me (ex cabin crew), hindi talaga included sa functions nila yan. If u as a passenger, for whatever reason, decide to bring onboard a very heavy bag, it is your responsibility. Masyado ka kasing kuripot o (poor?) To pay for check in fees.

  17. Not siding with the passenger ano kasi verrryy wrooong talaga ang ginawa nyang pananampal pero ang akin lang, kung may ganyan palang mga rules ang mga airlines na di pwedeng magbuhat ng carry on ang mga cabin crew, dapat ata gawing parte yan ng anunsyo or may babala man lang dapat so that passengers will be aware also that there is such a rule. Baka inisip nung pasahero crew eh pwede "utusan."

    5. 2:08, read again, i said "never pa naman ako NAKIUSAP" not "never ko pa NAISIP." Very wroong. And what is wrong with my comment? Why are you two last commenters taking my comment on the offense eh sinabi ko lang naman sana ma aware din ang mga pasahero na there is such a rule kasi di naman ho kasi lahat ng pasahero eh MATATALINO kagaya nyo ho eh no? Kalokah! LOL!

      Delete
    6. 12:43 I get your point. I see cabin crew helping passengers stow their hand-carry bags on the overhead. That is not uncommon. Yun pala matulungin lang sila and doing more than their duties.

      Delete
    7. and if it's a common occurrence pala na marami na nagtatanong it neans there really is confusion. they should state that. ako din i wasn't aware na di pwede humingi ng tulong. when i fly international i always check in so purse lang dala ko.

  20. Di ba may limit ang weight ng carry on bag? And I thought that's part of their job to help passengers.
Airlines should make that clear. But di naman kailangan manampal.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies

Kaya more than the weight, the overhead compartment height is also an issue. Iba ang dragging your luggage with wheels on the ground rather than lifting deadweight overhead.

      Delete
    3. Hi 3:29. Diba? Imagine the crew having to assist all 200-300 passengers with their bags, pag nagka injury, sino magbabayad sa crew?

      Delete
    4. Meron din kasing mga important items o personal belongings na ayaw icheck in siguro ng iba and unfortunately they weigh a lot. Ayaw man icarry on, no choice ka. Assistance would be good.

    1. Kung buntis ka, matanda ka na or hirap ka na magbuhat ng mabigat na bag, then might as well dont bring one. Take with you only what you need. So bakit ka nya tutulungan? Pls lets educate ourselves. 😂

I never had any bad experience w/ female f a's of any airline, filipina or not, they always help me w/ my carry on maybe because i'm in my 60's and they see that i'm struggling w/ my luggage to put it up in the head compartment. I usually asked their help and they graciously do so or they do it w/out me asking them. I don't know the story behind this but that passenger is cruel to do this to a female flight attendant.

Meron namang checkin baggage.

Yes theres a weight limit but it's rarely followed especially on domestic flights. Mapilit kasi yung ibang pasahero.

  25. Unless that person is an elder who can't lift their own luggage or a disabled person, the cabin crew is not in charge of the passenger's luggage. Disagreeing or even yelling at the FA I can see happening, but violence towards them is inexcusable. I hope the passenger got kicked out or arrested. Here in the US, any disturbance can get your a$$ kicked out and be met by the marshalls.

I'm not defending the FA cause I don't know the whole story.. this is to inform commenter at 1:44AM para pagsakay nya ng eroplano alam nya.

  28. Every story has two sides. I want to hear the other side, too. Though I agree that the passenger was wrong, I'm also curious, what lead to the passenger to get that riled up? The FA could have called a fellow male attendant or politely asked for the help of a male passenger. There are ways to refuse and still manage to make the passenger feel accommodated. Ginawa ba ni FA yun or she just plainly refused?

in fact, kung akala nung ale ay kasali sa service yung pagbuhat, call a second attendant and report the first attendant para masuspinde o masisante. yung manakit ka ng tao is a criminal offense. how barbaric.

  30. Hand carry bags are LIMITED TO 7KG only. Passengers SHOULD BE ABLE TO lift this much weight to the overhead locker.

And to those saying that the crew "should" assist the passengers, think about this - just an example, 6 cabin attendants to serve 150 passengers. Ninety of those asked you to lift their baggage averaging 7 kg each. That would be 630 kg of hand carry lifted by 6 staff. That would be 105 kg for each. Then think again of them having 3 back and forth flights every week for the same number of passengers, and if they lift that much bags, for a total of 6 flights. If they do this much lifting, they will certainly get injured in the long run.

Every flight attendant be it Southwest or Akkegiant airlines, all FA's are more than willing to help a passenger put the luggage on the overhead bin . Of course mga Pinoy feeling Nila they're somewhat angst since they're FA. Here in states u don't even need a degree to be a flight attendant. It's a job that doesn't require college degree! They would even volunteer to put your handbag sa taas so that you have enough room to move your feet under the seats. ang susungit pag mga Pilipina. and they way they treat the passengers esp mga seaman, parang ang gaganda nila. there is always 2 sides of the story ika nga.

  42. Comment lang. Puro tayo dapat naka check in lahat ng bagahe, do not reach the maximum weight, etc. Malamang people cram their carry on with important belongings dahil dun. Inconvenient but safe. Maybe best is to forward your items via cargo. But there's local customs. Yun lang naman. Kaya sana yung iba dito bago mangbara sa kapwa commenters, consider ninyo muna ito.

  51. I have had my share of unhelpful FA. I once rode Cathay Pacific on Business Class upon entering the Cabin, the crew all hid in the galley. It was such a mess that most people that entered just started sitting in the Business Class seats even if their tickets were economy. It had to be the passenger that had the business class seats to ask them to leave the seats. Also because of the new business class configuration where its divides the row, its hard to help my senior citizen parents get their luggage in the over head bin. Swewrte lang pag mabait the fellow passengers to help you get your luggage. But PAL- international crew- very accommodating.
