Usually juice is around $4-5 and coffee is $3-4.

      Delete
    3. Plus the omelette and sausage ndi reasonable ang price!!

    2. Seriously, for a restaurant in the US, that is a normal price. Kung totoong laking US siya, he should've known that and he shouldn't have converted the price. Unless, otherwise, di totoo yung claim nyang laking Tate siya, or if totoo man, fastfood lang siya kumakain or nakikifree milk sa Starbucks.

      Delete
    3. Hahahaha! This is so funny! He shouldve known not to convert.

      Delete
    4. He's just being Chinese.

      Delete
    5. 1:10 AM. No, that is not the normal price! $17 for an omelette??? $4 for coffee and $7 for orange juice? baka sa touristy area or sa hotel pa.

      Delete
    6. Hello! Go to most diners and you can get breakfast for $20, kasama na ang tip. In fact yung entire meal niya should not be more than $25. An omelette should be about $9 at usually kasama na either ham, bacon or sausage, coffee and orange juice about $3 each. Hello, sa IHOP na nga lang eh.

      Delete

    ReplyDelete

    1. anong pinagsasabi mong cost of living. 12$ for a glass of coffee and oranges juice is down right rip-off.

      Delete

      Delete
    3. The breakfast he had was too pricey. $40.00 at IHOP, Denny's, or Perko's is good for 2-3 people. I wonder what restaurant he went to.

      Delete
    4. Yeah, didn't he grow up there? Also, it depends on the restaurant of course. Maybe he's at a hotel, and not Denny's?

      Delete
    5. That is too pricey... he was probably in a hotel or something.. if its a resto then it was prolly a high end resto... alam na dapat nya na mahal no

      Delete
    6. 10:44 bakit mo pinipilit kumain sa isang common diner si Xian Lim eh diba may "status" sya? tapos kakainkain sya sa ganyang lugar at magrereklamo sya sa $40. ano ba yan. Di ko alam kung kuripot o shungangers

      Delete
    7. This must be a high end restaurant.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Jeezzz 40 bucks is the typical cost of eating here in the Americsss..... He should have just went to McDonald and spend 8 bucks instead!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. $40? Seriously?! For one person? That's a rip off! I live in Canada and the breakfast for one person doesn't cost $40!!!!!! Even lunch! Dinner pwede pa!!! And for people saying bad stuffs, $40 is a lot of money, Di birong kumita kaya, feeling naman ang iba jan,my cousins were born and grew up in the states but they never think $40 is a typical breakfast meal. Besides what he ordered are so ordinary, not worth it to spend $40! My mom can cook those, may tocino and garlic fried rice pa:)

      Delete
    2. 5:45 he is traveling! In short he should expect to shell out some money. Masyado naman syang presumptious to think that he can get tapa king kind of breakfast habang nagttravel supposedly a luxury in itself ang travel, dapat naman may konting leeway sya sa sarili nya, to think celeb sya. lahat nalang ba ng bagay kelangan gawing low cost? -airfare, accom, food?!

      Delete
    3. Did you know where he went for that breakfast 5:45? If he's in a hotel, he should expect na mahal babayaran nya. If he's gone to a much more posh place, all the more na mahal.

      Delete
    5. ay dios ko, first canada is america. Read your geography, its part of north america people. At kahit nasa NYC siay, thats a rip off dahil sa klase ng baso hindi siya pumunta sa mama haling resto.

    6. 11:16 Canada is America? Kalowka ka teh!

  39. mahal tlaga yan ateng xian, kasi nag convert ka from dollar to peso. ahahahha

    ReplyDelete
  40. You're stupid to think drinks are free. It's customary for servers to ask right away what you want to drink. Even if you order just water, you'll pay for it.

    ReplyDelete
  41. and you think he's serious with skipping lunch and dinner? naman...

    ReplyDelete
  42. Wala ka sa Pinas wag ka mag-maganda. $40 lang pinag-iinarte mo pa.

    3. agree 1:49. as if naman backpacker syang nakatira sa hostel.

      Delete
    4. 6:12 ang point, hindi tayo ang pinaguusapan na kakain ng brekkie. si xian lim. na supposedly kumikita enough to afford a $40 breakfast while on vacation in the US! heller!

      Delete
    5. Depends where he went for breakfast. If high end resto sa Cali typical yung $40 bucks and yes they do charge for your drinks.

    ReplyDelete

      Delete
    3. For sure mamahaling resto or sa hotel sha
Kumain...

      Delete
  50. ayan ..sanay ka kasing nililibre ni kim

    ReplyDelete
  51. Oh come on. He ws just being sarcastic on his experience. The skipping lunch or dinner has been used by most people as an idiomatic expression once they feel they got ripped off. In the Philippines is worst. Last time I ate in a famous local restaurant, I was charged for the hand wipes which was given to us after we had dinner. What a shame.

    ReplyDelete
  52. sana nag McDo na lang sya,it'll just cost him $2 for a cup of coffee and sausage mcmuffin...lol

    ReplyDelete
Saan ba sya kumain? 1 sausage $8? Omelette $17 na? Saang lugar ba itetch?? Hawaii ba yan? Mahal huh!

      Delete
  55. grabe ang kuripot eh sya nmn kakain

    ReplyDelete
  56. yeah, blame the wait staff for your stupidity. next time, numbn*ts look at the menu before ordering. idiot.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  58. The sales tax is 3.52 percent...hmmm, I'm curious which State is the U.S. this establishment is located. In the SF Bay Area, the sales tax is 9.50-9.75 percent. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Xian grow-up in Daly City, CA? I'm inclined to think that he's just thrifty, but not necessarily cheap. So, don't judge him too quickly as a cheap person. When you start earning your own money, you'd learn to watch what you spend on everything, too. Plus, I think he only said that in jest, so lighten up guys.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I've been living here in the US for 20 years now and I still find those prices expensive. He should have just gone to a buffet.

    ReplyDelete
  60. $40, for me, is too much for a breakfast kahit di mo ito i-convert sa peso.
Taray ng mga commenter dito. ang yayaman.

For a whole week gumagastos kayo ng $280. In a month, $1120 value ng breakfast nyo. Breakfast palang yan ah. Pano nalang kaya pag kasama ng dinner at lunch.

Plus, renting a condo is around $2000-$2500. Meron din namang $1500 for an apt. But since a $40 dollar breakfast is nothing to you, I'd assume that you are in the former.

Expenses niyo is around $3K every month.
(Excluded pa ang expenses para sa foods ng dinner and lunch, car insurance, and electricity etc..)

    Kainggit naman kayo. Lol

    ReplyDelete

    1. But this must have been an expensive place that you don't go to everyday, tapos kinwenta? What's his point? This must be a place na some other actors from Pinas would have been proud to have breakfast at. Sana nagpa-picture na lang sya with his elegant and high-poised pose. It's all in the attitude Ateng Xian..

      Delete
    2. 6:12 this brekkie is not going to be his daily life, HE IS ON VACATION. he should allow himself to splurge since gumastos na sya makapagtravel dyan and it looks like he intended to do that, by not eating in a fast food resto. tapos he complains about the price. isn't it ironic that he is a well-earning model/celeb, goes on an expensive vacay in the states, elevates himself by not eating in a cheap place, then complains about normal CAFE/BRASSERIE prices? wag mo kasi icompare sa normal na mamamayan na nakatira sa amerika.

      Delete
    3. Baka kasi sa mamahaling resto sha lumafang?!!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Baka sarcastic in way para lang may e post sa IG. Hahaha

  67. Sobrang mahal nga nyan! Saan kaya yan?

    ReplyDelete
  68. Nagrereklamo sa $7 at $5.... kamusta namang traveller itey? Kakahiya. If you can't afford to travel properly, don't travel. You have to try and live as a local to get the full experience of a place. Kung di mo afford wag na lang! My gosh, hinahanap ang Philippine prices sa foreign land.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Ikaw ang nakakahiya. Even locals won't pay $40 for breakfast. That's plain stupid. Stop being a know-it-all kasi obviously hindi ka pa nakaapak at nakatira sa ibang bansa. And there's no problem being conscious sa prices.

  72. It may be hotel breakfast. But I don't blame him since that is expensive for breakfast alone. Anyway, I understand where he's coming from since he has openly talked about being poor way back. At least he knows the value of money. There's nothing wrong with being frugal especially if it's hard earned money.

    ReplyDelete
  77. well if he had breakfast at those revolving resto to see the ambience or 360 cityview, chances are you will spend this much coz you pay for the place, not necessarily the drinks, coz people tend to stay more hours in places like this after the meal. So refill more often than not is requested:)

  88. I wonder which posh restaurant he had breakfast...
But the glass used for OJ looks like the ones regularly used at grease plate dinners!!
