    2. Cyber crime law = martial law

    3. The politicians, high profile big time people, famous people like our foreign artists are the ones who will really benefit from this law. What about the rest of the Filipinos? Sana, when they make laws they should make sure that it will not only benefit the rich, famous and the powerful, but also the majority of the Filipino people.

    4. We deserve to know what our elected government officials are doing. We deserve to know the truth. With the passing of the cyber crime law, only a few people who are equally rich and powerful, would dare to voice out their true sentiments against elected officials, the rest of the average Filipinos will no doubt just shut their mouths for fear of being fined and imprisoned. This law will probably silence also would-be-whistle blowers... the corrupt will no longer have to fear anything....

    5. Cyber crime law = goodbye would-be whistle-blowers

    6. Im very sure that if this same law was enacted during the previous administration, many of our present government officials (who voted for this law) would be lining up the streets and join protests against this same law. And they will probably liken our past president to a dictator.

  2. stupidity at its highest level...now they're cleaning their mess because they cannot ignore the fact na malaking bagay ang social media sa kampanya nila. And with that Senator who is possible for inserting the libel clause in the bill, he clearly doesnt understand the Filipino people. Masyadong hambog pa din!

If Krizzy and Mic will run for the senate, I'd definitely going to vote for them rather than this senator who should have stayed with his noontime variety show!

  10. Goodluck talaga. i hope our president read and understood what is written before he signed. ang daming filipino ang naapektuhan. they cant even comment on fb posts kahit hindi about the govt or artists ang involved sa posts. kahit retweet di na rin masyado nagagawa kasi scared na baka makulong. imagine that? the last time this happened was during Marcos' era... social media is one good outlet of angst, complains or even criticism whether it's good or bad... dun na nga lang nailalabas ang hinaing madedeprive ka pa kasi may possibility na makulong. the worldwide web has been a great influence to everyone in the world.

    1. true. i deactivated my fb, and stayed away from social media, and avoided watching the news altogether, lest i make nasty comments about our id*otic government.. i really got affected with this CCL, i'm very opinionated, specially now that election season has started. nakakakulo ng dugo ang mga epal na politiko na nakikita ko sa tv.

so this must be what it felt like during the martial law. will resume being active kapag may TRO na sa law na ito, or i get used to just shut up whenever i feel like trashing these nincompoops of public servants(daw).

i am so happy though that Senators #1, #2, and #4 voted. Are they midterm re-electionists? BECAUSE I AM SO NOT VOTING!!

i really hope this revolution will not lose it's flame after some time

      Delete
    2. True, cyber law is equivalent to martial law.if this wil not be amendeded, i will also deactivate my FB and twitter accounts. The politicians, artists, and rich people are the only ones who will truly benefit from this law. With regards to our local artists, they will benefit from this law kasi there will be lesser negative publicities for them. On the other hand, this might also have detrimental effects on their careers. Our local artists should remember, that whether, good or bad, publicities keep them in the limelight. Look at our other local artists with negative publicities only, they still manage to stay in the limelight... may name recall pa rin kahit paano....

    2. you can google it. Its downloadable. I agree with you. Ang daming nakiki-ride lang sa issue, without even reading the whole bill.

Wake up ka nga dyan!

  15. Sorry i won't vote these crazy senators. Not anymore not at all. We have the right not to vote for them. Sayang sila! Sana they studied it carefully before they paased the bill and to our president he should've read it first before he signed it. Kalokohan itong cyberlaw na ito.

  16. Kakabilib si Sen. Kiko Pangilinan. Kung tutuusin, he could havettaken the opportunity to support this bilk for persobal reasons just like what Tito Sotto did..since ang daming bashers ng wife nya. But then he did not support the law.

      Delete
    2. Korek! Iboboto ko ulit si Kiko. Fashion pulis, salamat sa listahan.

    3. ANON 1:55 i kind of agree with u. but remember that sharon's cyber war with some twitter users started after KC's Buzz intetview. KC was attacked and so Sharon defended her daughter and so on..wala ng katapusang sagutan. Hindi nga nagsasaluta su Piolo pero grabeng atake ginagawa ng supporters nya kay Sharon and KC so gumaganti si Sharon. For me pareho lang mali si Sharon and supporters of Piolo. Pareho kasi sila di makapagmove on.

Pro yun nga point ko, Kiko could have voted for the law para matakot ang bashers atakehin wife nya sa Twitter. Pero hindi nya ginawa yun. Hindi nya ginamitan ng personal interest ang responsibility nya as a senator. Para sakin nakakabilib yun. So iboboto ko sya ulit.

    ReplyDelete
  19. kc pag artista wag n iboto... bobling! tignan nyo list... puro artista!
oto oto... pasalamat ka s EB

  21. Senator Chiz... I am so disappointed... you're very opinionated pa naman. I never thought that you'd support this kind of law.

To all those Senators who voted to pass this law, you've just created your own monsters!

    ReplyDelete
  22. yes, and even the senator i would fight for is listed there. buti na lang, ngayon pa lang eh napatunayan na nyang hindi sya karapat dapat na iboto sa next election. i am so disappointed. thanks for this FP, sa mga pagkakataong ganito kalong tumatalino ang mga botante dahil sa mga information n yan... pero sa mga natirang senador, meron pa bang matitino? shall vote or not to vote na lang ako.

Now they are reaping what they had sown.

    ReplyDelete
  32. FP, you have to read blogger Raissa Robles' latest piece. The ones who truly made the law horrible were those in the Bicameral Conference Committee. The committee inserted a section of the Revised Penal Code into the Cybercrime Prevention bill. The implication of which made "ALL jailable crimes in the country into cybercrimes."

    ReplyDelete
  33. Trillanes #1 ko sa election! basta ako hindi ako boboto sa kandidatong walang originality... kaya lahat ng bumotong senator sa bill na yan.. d n kayo mananalo sa susunod na election. good luck... come on people please vote wisely.

  34. No. and i will not be voting for Pnoy as well
