Going, Going, Gone

From the time she hit big time, EC projected and shown an entirely different façade, totally apart from her on-cam showbiz image. Fans and followers of EC have turned into harsh critics after they have personally encountered her and been sampled of EC's real persona outside of that idiot box.
The latest convert was a Former EC Fanatic FF until that fateful day that she saw her in the flesh and swore never to take EC seriously again from then on.
November last year, FF was with her family at an upscale mall in the metro when she saw EC standing near the stairs at the 6th floor. EC was with a chubby girl carrying some shopping bags while EC was busy talking on the phone. EC looked like she was just done with shopping.
FF didn’t notice EC in the beginning, as she was wearing shades, leggings, long top and with pulled up hair. FF and company would have wanted to approach EC, but was discouraged as EC projected a very intimidating look, perhaps her secret to ward off her much-hated photo op seekers. Indeed, wearing such long, frowning face, with protruding pouting mouth, who would dare?
When EC allegedly saw FF looking like she was torn whether to approach or not, EC hastily turned her back and proceeded straight to the parking area.
Will EC ever change? Next question, please.

Vhong Navarro Leaving Showbiz for Good?

Speaking with Ted Failon on Saturday's episode of "Failon Ngayon," Navarro became emotional when asked on when or whether he'll be able to come back from the mauling incident, which left him severely injured.
"Kahit sobrang miss na miss ko na magpasaya ulit, magpatawa, ang hirap. Hindi ko pa po alam. Depende po sa sitwasyon at panahon," he said.
Navarro claimed that he was set up by model Deniece Cornejo for an extortion attempt led by businessman Cedric Lee. He detailed the attack, allegedly in the hands of at least six men inside a condominium unit.
The "It's Showtime" co-host said that he was blindfolded, tied up and was forced to "confess" that he raped Cornejo on video.
"Ang hirap po kasi 'ginawa sa iyo na tinape ka, binugbog ka, tinutukan ka ng baril, binababa 'yung pants mo, tapos nagtatawanan, tapos bigla pasasabihin ka pa ng mga hindi po mo ginawa. 'Yun po 'yung pambababoy na ginawa sa akin," Navarro said.
"Wala po akong time makalaban, especially may baril po 'yung isa sa mga kanila na kinasahan po ako," he added.
Navarro fears that his decision to go public with the ordeal and name the parties involved might endanger his children, Fredriek and Isaiah, saying he doubts that his family will be able to live a normal life after the controversy.
"Hindi ko po alam kung paano ako magsisimula ulit kasi sa nangyayari po sa buhay ko ngayon, parang pelikula ang dadanasin ko, kasi natatakot ako para sa mga anak ko," he said.
The actor, however, said that he remains steadfast in his decision to pursue the case in court, as it is his only way to console his children and to help prevent similar incidents from happening again.
"Gusto ko maging normal lang 'yung buhay nila. Kaya gusto ko maging matatag para makita nila. Ayaw kong nakikita nila na natatakot ako kasi 'yung una naming pagkikita gusto ko umiyak pero ayaw ko kasi kailangan nilang makita sa akin na kaya ko eh. Gusto ko alam nila na pag kaya ko, kaya rin nila," he said.
Navarro filed six criminal charges against Lee's group: serious physical injuries, grave threat, grave coercion, unlawful arrest, blackmail, and serious illegal detention, which is a non-bailable offense.
He also identified the other alleged attackers in a supplemental affidavit filed last Thursday: Zimmer Rance or Simeon Raz Junior, Ferdinand Guerrero, Jed Fernandez, JP Calma and Bernice Lee.
Cornejo, in her rape complaint filed against Navarro last January 29, alleged that she was "rescued" by Lee's group from being sexually assaulted by the actor, which supposedly led to the mauling.
Navarro denied the allegation, saying that the only sin he committed was against his non-showbiz girlfriend of five years.
Despite his wrongdoings, Navarro said that he is grateful for the second chance and support his partner has given him. Navarro also thanked his girlfriend for the sacrifice she is willing to make for him, saying that it gives him the courage to continue his fight.
"Everytime na binabanggit ko 'yung pangalan niya, naiiyak ako kasi malaki po talaga yung hinaharap niya ngayon na sakripisyo. Kaya nakakabilib po kasi sa lahat ng nagawa ko, nandiyan pa rin siya, hindi niya ako iniwan," he said.
"Wake up call 'ito sa akin na wag na akong lumandi."
The first preliminary investigation on the charges filed by both Navarro and Cornejo has been set on February 14, where the actor's two witnesses have been ordered to appear. A second hearing is scheduled on February 21.

Her Candid Rants on the Sweet Actresses

All media performers are aware that their bodies are their primary assets in their field. In particular, television personalities are conscious of the fact that the medium adds around ten pounds to the actual weight of the performer. Networks have even implemented the “fat memo,” which gives overweight talents the ultimatum to lose weight or else they will not have projects. Hence, most talents have resorted to various diets, exercise regimens, surgery, and body sculpting to keep their shape and stance in their networks.
Alas, good food is always hard to resist, especially when it comes to roasted pork from down south. In a taping for a teleserye, dramatic talent (DT) brought roasted pork to the set. DT shared the food with the crew as well as her fellow cast members. DT even personally gave some to one of her co-actors, vocal actress (VA), who thanked her. When DT left, VA ranted. First, VA commented on how DT is trying to win everyone by her sharing of food. Then, she went on by zeroing in on the size of DT, who has gained visible weight on screen. VA tactlessly said that DT simply wants her to be as fat as she.
Someone then asked VA if she were close with DT. VA unleashed her lines and questioned how she can be close to DT. VA cited that she and DT started together. While DT was a finalist in the network's homegrown search for talents, DT has yet to achieve as much fame as what VA has achieved. Further, DT is already a has-been without having even reached her peak. VA said that DT’s added weight does not add any value to her at all, and the only thing DT can brag about is her light skin color. When they thought VA was done, VA turned unstoppable. She continued by mentioning how one can think she’s pretty only because she has light skin color. VA then used another actress (AA) as her example. VA said that no matter how hard the network tries to make AA famous, all her projects flopped. In addition, VA said that AA was merely relying on gimmick and her skin color, but did not at all bother to have her muscled arms smaller.
With a simple question, came VA’s long answer. Some wondered where all these lines were coming from, considering that the last project of VA also flopped, and her manager only requested for her to be in a good project, which is her current teleserye. Was VA too honest or is she back to her tactless ways?
