Remaining Neutral

When one wants something badly, he/she will not stop at preparing and engaging in activities that would make him/her closer to the goal. For example, when actors anticipate being called for a highly coveted role, they prepare and engage in activities that could develop the skill that might be needed. Take the case of Anticipating Actress (AA).
AA has been among the popular contenders for a physically demanding role. Although AA does not have the guarantee she will be in, she has ventured into activities that are demanding of her skills. In her next role, AA had to spend much time in practice to make sure she is believable on screen. With picky viewers, AA has to be convincing, and that requires meeting the bar set by the role.
By contrast, AA’s Counterpart (AC) has been lagging in developing his career. His handlers fear that he might have become complacent and comfortable that he does not want to take risks beyond the cute, glamour characters he has played.
A sign of AC’s disinterest to reinvent himself is the feedback his handlers allegedly obtained from the staff of a project AC was supposed to topbill. When asked about the physical training progress of AC, the person in charge expressed disappointment. AC would show up late, work on his moves for a fourth of the allotted time, and show lackluster attitude. AC would use his other show as an excuse to day he was too exhausted to do anything physically demanding. AC even confided to AA that his body could not withstand the training anymore. Adding to the woe of the production is that AC has not been faithfully attending his sessions to improve his language skills.
With the attitude shown by AC and his lack of desire to try his limits, the management has decided to issue a statement that would not affect the image of AC, as the heads have decided to take him out of the project. Backing out seems to be the most logical reason for looking for a new actor to take AC's place.
Although AC’s projects have not really made an impact in the recent months, his management is carefully protecting his image given his possible endorsements and projects that would not test his physical endurance. Nonetheless, as AA continues to evolve, AC would rather remain stagnant in his comfort zone.

SM Wants You to Shop Any Way You Like Online at ShopSM
The largest department store chain in the Philippines is announcing a new way to make everyday shopping feel super, with the launch of ShopSM, The SM Store’s very own online shopping platform.
As Filipinos become busier and more mobile, they’re always looking for better ways to shop. Namely, ways to shop in different locations, at different times of the day, with many options provided to them. These three ideals were The SM Store’s top considerations while they spent years to develop ShopSM into an online store where Filipinos around the world can truly shop at their favorite SM, anytime, anywhere, and any way they like.
ShopSM aims to be just as much a go-to destination for shopping as The SM Store, but online. It carries your favorite items from every department – home basics, kids and baby essentials, beauty products, shoes, bags, and a variety of clothing for men, women, and children.
And those “Any way you like” conveniences mentioned earlier? The platform lets you use your SM Advantage or SM Prestige card to earn points, apart from regular discounts. A range of payment options are also available, including cash on delivery, credit payments, and debit payments. But what makes ShopSM even more super is how it introduces “Click and Collect” to the Philippines – a feature that gives you the option to pick up your online purchases at selected branches of The SM Store if it’s more convenient.
For the Filipino shopper, ShopSM makes sure to turn every shopping experience into a super experience. Head online to ShopSM.com and shop anytime, shop anywhere, shop any way you like!

Repost: Miss Universe Catriona Gray Reveals Feelings on Performance of Vickie Rushton and Other BBP Candidates

Catriona Gray was visibly saddened when she was asked about her thoughts over what happened to Vickie Rushton during the Binibining Pilipinas coronation night last Sunday.
Leading up to finals night, Rushton was widely tipped to take home the coveted Miss Universe-Philippines crown, at least among pageant pundits.
The former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate appeared on track to fulfilling forecasts and online poll results, as she raked in a total of six special awards.
However, she fell short of winning a crown even just as a runner-up because of her performance at the crucial question-and-answer portion, at least according to some dismayed fans.
During the Q&A portion, Rushton initially managed a coherent response to judge Daniel Padilla's question about why mental health is as important as physical health, but then trailed off without finishing her final sentence. Cut off by the 30-second timer, a visibly disappointed Rushton returned to her spot on stage.

Despite this, Gray still thinks Rushton was amazing throughout the competition.
“It’s really unfortunate. I was really rooting for her because I am close with her. She is my first runner-up from my batch. I think she did amazingly even though the thing in Q&A happened,” she told reporters in an interview on Friday.
“You know it happens. It’s a 'grace under pressure' environment. It’s a completely high nerve environment. If it’s your time, it’s your time. Who knows, she might make a comeback? I would totally root for her if she’s planning to join again,” she added.
On or off the pageant stage, Gray appears to be a natural in giving quick yet intelligent answers to tricky questions.
When asked if there’s any advice she could give to other beauty queens with regard to this, Gray said there’s actually “no formula that you can apply to every single girl.”
“Honestly, the girl needs to be driven and see where her weaknesses are and build upon that,” she said. “It’s really a unique thing. Every girl is different. Everyone has different strengths. It’s really the girl needs to assess where she’s lacking and build upon that.”
