Reality Bites

Sometimes, when an issue hits home, people involved tend to slow down on their routine to face the more pressing problem. Thus, when Social Media celebrity (SM) seemed to have taken a break from her usual grind, her followers wondered if something was wrong. Except for a few matters that had to be disclosed, SM has always kept her privacy.
Allegedly, SM is handling a crisis at home and she is doing her best to avoid a scandal. By having her family problem out in the open would mean that her bashers would have more mud to thrown at her. Over the years, SM has been cautious in addressing her bashers in such a way that her responses are logical and diplomatic. However, this alleged impending issue can surely be a field day for those who hate her honesty.
Sometime ago, the grapevine was abuzz that Her Partner (HP) allegedly got Another Woman (AW) pregnant. The story was kept away from the public, as the image of SM having a perfect partner and family would be smeared. SM then assured AW that the coming child would be properly supported and she thought that was the end of the story. SM loves HP to the point that she will let the situation go. She tried to be understanding.
If before, receiving money was fine for AW, things have changed. She now wants HP to become involved in the life of their baby. In other words, HP must visit and spend time with the child, as per AW’s request. As the one who holds the legal relationship, the new condition did not sit well with SM. Thus, she offered to double the support. The offer did not work, as AW stood firm on having HP be visible in the life of their child.
The development was upsetting to SM. Although she has contemplated on filing cases, the reputation of her family is preventing her from taking legal action. Besides, a tarnished reputation and exposure that her perfect life is really a sham would affect her endorsements of products as well as credibility of her opinions. For now, things are quiet and SM has not made any drastic move. The question now is if HP and AW will keep the issue from getting exposed.

Back to the Green Grass

The grass is not always greener at the other side of the fence. In a brief period, Nearly Transferee (NT) learned her lesson on loyalty. Humbled by the experience, NT had to face reality and admit that her Aimed Station (AS) failed her expectations.
When rumors started that NT was moving stations, questions were raised. For example, NT has projects in her Home Camp (HC) and has always been a reliable member of the team. NT can deliver in comedy or even in drama. Then, why would she even think of moving?
The backstory claims that her last project did not do as expected and thus, the management was disappointed. NT was then advised to try her luck away from HC, which she took seriously. With high hopes, feelers were sent and AS tried to test the waters. Although NT is competent, she does not have a wide fanbase as other transferees have and thus, she was expected to bring more to the station. To ease her entry, AS had her appear in a show. The management of AS was disappointed, as the appearance of NT did not create any impact. They were not impressed and felt that NT was a “starlet.” The best projects that were allegedly offered to her were supporting roles. She has been there and done that and she left HC as lead. The greener grass was turning into brown.
Acting on her volition, NT swallowed her pride and apologized profusely to HC. Immediately, she was given an acting project and received praises for her craft. Subsequently, NT was signed up again. Everyone seems happy that she’s back. However, the casualty was her former adviser, who allegedly prodded her to transfer and was let go the moment NT decided to ink her name with HC. The belittled “starlet” is home and she knows she is more than that.
