She Must Not Give Up

VP who is regarded as a role model of her generation is every parents' dream daughter and any sibling's dream sister. She is a girl every man dreams to bring to his mother. But inspite of VP's enviable status in showbiz, the public believes that there is something she continues to be deprived of – the chance to take charge of her own life and decisions.
Some of her fans and followers hope that VP - the poor, little, rich… and very good girl - will one day rise up to be independent and end up with her Prince happily ever after - just like the princesses from fairy tales.
The very desirable VP has led a sheltered and complicated life. She is definitely a big blessing to her family who to this day continues to protect her like a delicate gem. Her Guardian HG has long been a permanent presence all her life, often getting the ire for her over protectiveness of VP.
After having been "linked" to several attractive men in the industry, VP has yet to get that stamp of approval from HG. As is commonly known, VP's guy admirers are intimidated by HG who has acquired a frightening label for them – as attested to by those who were allegedly 'junked' by HG.
But contrary to public perception, HG has reportedly loosened up her tight grip on VP. Yes, after going through a lot of storms in their personal lives, HG is now reportedly cool to the idea of granting VP's cherished wish. In fact HG already has a Talented Actor TA she favors for VP. But something is holding her back.
The very conservative HG is not sold to the idea of showbiz's merry-go-round of relationships, aka exchanging partners. It is common knowledge that TA falls on this category having been an ex-lover of sensual actress, who is now the present girl of handsome actor who was previously linked to VP… uh oh! To HG and the rest of her family, this does not augur well for VP's image and status in the industry which they guard like a precious jewel. Definitely, a no no in good PR.

Statement of DILG Sec. Mar Roxas on the Video of His Meeting with Tacloban Mayor Alfred Romualdez
Translated from: www.gov.ph
Good afternoon to all of us !
I am here to tell the truth about the questionable video that is being spread by the camp of Tacloban City Mayor Alfred Romualdez . For your information , there also appears to be a longer version of this YouTube video.
There is also a 51-minute audio recording that serves as the official minutes of the Consultation Meeting held last Nov . 14 , 2013, 6 days after .
I do not intend to waste time to answer this issue. I am one with our fellow citizens who are more willing to focus our work towards recovery.
But lies should not be allowed to spread at this point.
Anyone who watches the video will tell you:
First, the conversation in the video was doctored;
Second , the important part of the conversation was deliberately cut off and removed, along with the full context .
Anyone would immediately conclude that whoever made this video, had an evil plan in mind.
To those who have watched the longer video, the words that I have spoken to Mayor Romualdez were clear enough.
All I wanted to do: to clarify the division of labor and responsibilities of each.
He said, his city administrator said that " we can not do it anymore. " And that we have to take over.
To be clear, I told him to put it in writing so that there would be no finger pointing and blaming anyone someday.
And true enough, there now exists finger pointing and blaming.
It is very embarrassing to our people because it is from their taxes that all these kind of help that we pour into Tacloban and across the Visayas and other areas affected by Yolanda. It also includes the assistance and donations from various countries .
Obviously the purpose of this malicious video is to cover up Mayor Romualdez's own negligence as an elected official and to shift the blame to the national government .
It was the Mayor himself who violated his order to evacuate the people away from the danger zones.
He also violated his order that says that if it is a Code Blue during disaster, all officers of the City Hall must be physically present at the Operation Center.
I also found out that after Yolanda and until now, the important councils such as the City Council, City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council and City Peace and Order Council have yet to hold a meeting for disaster response.
I sympathize with you, Mayor Romualdez, because you are also the victim of Yolanda, just like your provincemates and our other people in the Visayas.
But you should not be a victim forever. It's about time that you rise up and lead your city towards recovery .
Please trust that we in DILG together with the government will not stop giving aid until the people of Tacloban have fully recovered as well as the rest of 170 cities ravaged by Yolanda.
Pope Francis Named Time Magazine's Person of the Year

"Rarely has a new player on the world stage captured so much attention so quickly - young and old, faithful and cynical," she added.
NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden was runner-up.
Jorge Mario Bergoglio, the then cardinal archbishop of Buenos Aires, was made Pope last March. He named himself Francis after a 12th Century Italian saint who turned his back on an aristocratic lifestyle to work with the poor.
Since then, he has eschewed some of the more regal trappings of high office, made headlines by washing the feet of prisoners, and is planning some major reforms to the Church.
"In his nine months in office, he has placed himself at the very centre of the central conversations of our time: about wealth and poverty, fairness and justice, transparency, modernity, globalisation, the role of women, the nature of marriage, the temptations of power," Ms Gibbs wrote.
Vatican spokesman Federico Lombardi said it was "a positive sign" that one of the international media's most prestigious recognitions had been given to "a person who proclaims.. spiritual, religious and moral values and speaks out forcefully in favour of peace and greater justice".
"The Holy Father is not looking to become famous or to receive honours,'' said Mr Lombardi. "But if the choice of Person of Year helps spread the message of the Gospel - a message of God's love for everyone - he will certainly be happy about that."
This is the third time a Pope has received the recognition from Time magazine. John Paul II was selected in 1994 and John XXIII was chosen in 1962.
Besides Mr Snowden, this year's other finalists were US gay rights activist Edith Windsor, US Senator Ted Cruz of Texas and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
