Jack White Founding Member of the White Stripes Coming to Manila on November 5

Founding member of The White Stripes, The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather, JACK WHITE is coming to Manila on November 5, 2022 at the Samsung Hall in SM Aura Premier for his The Supply Chain Issues Tour. Tickets go on-sale to the general public on September 23, 10AM via SMTickets.com and all SM Tickets outlets nationwide.

The 12-time GRAMMY® Award-winner and 36-time nominee, and Third Man Records founder, is set to release his fourth and fifth solo studio albums in 2022. FEAR OF THE DAWN (Third Man Records), featuring his latest single “Taking Me Back,” was released on April 8th, 2022 and ENTERING HEAVEN ALIVE (Third Man Records) followed on July 22, 2022. In addition to writing global anthems such as The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army” and The Raconteurs’ “Steady, As She Goes,” all three of White’s acclaimed previously released solo albums – 2012’s RIAA gold certified solo debut, BLUNDERBUSS, 2014’s LAZARETTO, and 2018’s BOARDING HOUSE REACH – debuted at #1 on the SoundScan/Billboard 200 along with a variety of other charts. Among his myriad of international honors, White’s long run of career GRAMMY® awards and nominations saw BLUNDERBUSS earning five nods over two years, including “Album of the Year,” “Best Rock Album,” “Best Rock Song” (for “Freedom At 21”), “Best Rock Performance,” and “Best Music Video” (the latter two honoring the single, “I’m Shakin”). LAZARETTO proved equally popular with GRAMMY® voters, scoring a nomination as “Best Alternative Music Album,” while its title track received the 2015 GRAMMY® Award for “Best Rock Performance” as well an additional nod as “Best Rock Song.” Praised by NME as “wild, mysterious and unlike anything else around…a full, lush sounding thing packed with personality and life,” BOARDING HOUSE REACH proved among White’s most unique works, topping a variety of charts in the US and Canada while drawing applause around the world. “The spirit of freaky free-play is thrilling and refreshing, a worthy end unto itself,” wrote Rolling Stone. “Like nearly all of White’s work, it manages to feel fresh, original, and still deeply rooted in history.” In 2020, White released The White Stripes Greatest Hits (Third Man Records/Legacy) and, more recently, unveiled jackwhiteartanddesign.com, as well as opened the doors to Third Man Records London – the third Third Man Records location and first internationally.  White will be embarking on a worldwide tour in 2022 to support his new albums.

Repost: 'Squid Game' Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk Addresses Issues on Reality Show Spinoff

When Netflix announced it had greenlit a reality series based on the murderous competition in “Squid Game,” fans of the hit Korean show were quick to point out the irony in translating the tragic tale, which creator Hwang Dong-hyuk told Variety is a “fable about modern capitalist society,” into reality TV.

Now, Hwang is urging “Squid Game” fans not to “take things too seriously,” saying he has met with the creator of the reality spinoff, titled “Squid Game: The Challenge,” and hopes “they will be carrying on my vision and intention as much as possible for the show.”

Hwang addressed the spinoff Monday night at the Emmys, where “Squid Game” made history — and scooped up a handful of awards in the process. Hwang won best directing for a drama series for the pilot episode, “Red Light, Green Light,” while star Lee Jung-Jae became the first Asian actor ever to win best actor in a drama.

“I think that even though our show does carry quite a heavy message — and I know that there are some concerns of taking that message and creating it into a reality show with a cash prize,” Hwang said backstage at the ceremony. “However, I feel like when you take things too seriously, that’s really not the best way to go for the entertainment industry. It doesn’t really set a great precedent.”

Hwang added: “I would say that reproductions of such efforts are going to bring new meaning to the industry, and I hope that this is going to be a great new direction for the industry overall.”

“Squid Game” was nominated for 16 Emmys and won six. The series, which broke Netflix viewership records, has been renewed for Season 2.

Just Another Ex

Family and friends are alarmed at the possibility of a Public Figure (PF) and His Wife (HW) separating soon. PF and HW have been married for a while and their love story is indeed romantic. It was love that grew from friendship and perhaps, days and nights of talking before deciding it was meant to be brought to the altar.

PF is not one who is new to the limelight. His years were spent under scrutiny of the public given his political background. As a scion to a political personality, PF was expected to follow the legacy set by the patriarch. PF followed and the rest is history.

After meeting HW, PF proudly revealed their relationship that subsequently led to an impressive wedding. The principal sponsors comprised who’s who in politics, society circles, and business. Entertainment personalities were present, too. Sometime ago, PF had close ties with a few showbiz celebrities, too. His connections led to controversies that highlighted his celebrity status. However, these issues were immediately put down.

Alas, time caught up with the couple and if the rumors are true, PF and HW join the list of celebrity couples who did not have their forever.

‘Relationship math suggests that It is rare for two people to enter marriage and one person is to blame for everything that goes wrong.’ ― Johnnie Dent Jr.

Repost: Leonardo DiCaprio Hanging Out with Gigi Hadid, Breaking His 'No One Older than 25' Rule

Leonardo DiCaprio might not be single for long.

The Oscar winner, 47, and supermodel Gigi Hadid, 27, have been hanging out in New York City, multiple sources tell PEOPLE.

"They are getting to know each other," one insider shares, adding that the pair aren't "dating" just yet.

"Leo is definitely pursuing Gigi," another source tells PEOPLE.

A third source adds, "They've been seen hanging out with groups of people. It's only been a few weeks since the split. Since then, he's been hanging out with friends and family."

They were first romantically linked in early 2018 on a trip to Aspen, Colorado. In the years following, the pair was photographed on romantic getaways across the globe — on the beaches of St. Barts, at a soccer match in Paris and enjoying time together in Malibu, California and New York City. They made their debut as a couple when they sat together in the front row at the Oscars in February 2020.

Although DiCaprio and Morrone kept the details of their relationship private, Morrone admitted in a 2019 interview with the Los Angeles Times that she felt frustrated with the media attention paid to the relationship, especially the 22-year age gap.

"There's so many relationships in Hollywood — and in the history of the world — where people have large age gaps. I just think anyone should be able to date who they want to date," she said.

Following their split, a source told PEOPLE that Morrone "is doing fine" and "has a big group of friends that really care about her."

"She is moving on with her life. She is not in contact with Leo," the insider added. Part of that group are fellow model friends Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber, who were seen out with the star on a girls' night earlier this month.

DiCaprio has been photographed spending time in New York City since the breakup, where Hadid lives with her daughter Khai, who she shares with ex Zayn Malik.

Hadid and Malik welcomed their first child together back in September 2020. They split in October of the following year following alleged altercation with this mother-in-law Yolanda Hadid.

"Gigi is solely focused on the best for Khai. She asks for privacy during this time," Gigi's rep told PEOPLE in a statement.

According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE at the time, Malik allegedly "grabbed [Yolanda] and shoved her into a dresser, causing mental anguish and physical pain." Malik "adamantly" denied striking her, however, telling TMZ in a statement: "I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private."

Having pleaded no contest to the charges, Malik is required to serve 90 days of probation for each of the four counts; he must also complete an anger management class and a domestic violence program and is barred from having contact with Yolanda.
