Aiai Delas Alas's camp issues statement on resolution declaring her persona non grata
Sa pamamagitan ng kanyang abogado, naglabas ng pahayag si Aiai Delas Alas tungkol sa pagdedeklara sa kanya bilang 'persona non grata' ng Quezon City Council.
Naglabas ng opisyal ng statement ang kampo ni Comedy Queen Aiai Delas Alas tungkol sa resolusyon ng Quezon City Council para ideklara siyang persona non grata sa nasabing lungsod.
Sa statement ng abugado ni Aiai na si Atty. Charo V. Rejuso-Munsayac, na natanggap ng GMANetwork.com ngayong gabi, June 8, iginiit niya na "satire" o "parody" ang video na ginawa ng kanyang kliyente, na naging sanhi ng pagkakadeklara sa kanya bilang isang persona non grata.
Matatandaan na noong panahon ng kampanya ay gumanap si Aiai bilang Honorable Mayor Ligaya Delmonte sa isang video na idinirehe ni Darryl Yap, na idineklara ring persona non grata ng Quezon City Council. Ang naturang video ay isang campaign video para sa pag-endorso kay Anakalusugan Representative Mike Defensor, na tumakbong mayor sa Quezon City.
Sa nasabing video, mapapansin din na napalitan ang official triangular seal ng lungsod, kung saan makikita ang "BBM" at "Sara." Ito ay tumutukoy kina President-elect Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos, Jr. at Vice President-elect Sara Duterte, na pareho ring inendorso nina Aiai at Darryl noong nakaraang eleksyon.
Sa pahayag ni Atty. Rejuso-Munsayac, ipinaliwanag niya, "It is not intended to be a statement of fact and is clearly not meant to be taken seriously by the audience. The video was obviously intended to be watched and taken as a whole, all elements being fictitious, including the seal behind the character portrayed by my client. It is unfortunate that the city council is nitpicking to find a basis to curb freedom of expression in the guise of defending a perceived dishonor."
Kinundena rin ng kampo ng aktres ang naging resolusyon ng Quezon City Council.
Narito ang kabuuang pahayag ng kampo ni Aiai:
"Today, my client, Ms. Ai Ai Delas Alas-Sibayan has received information, through social media, that a Resolution declaring her persona non grata was approved by the Quezon City council. While we are yet to receive a copy of the resolution, it was made clear that the focus was made on the alleged 'malicious and unscrupulous defacing of the official seal of Quezon City' claimed to have appeared on a video posted on the Facebook page of Vincentiments, where my client portrayed a character named 'Ligaya Delmonte.'
"The video which circulated during the campaign period is clearly a satire, a parody. It is not intended to be a statement of fact and is clearly not meant to be taken seriously by the audience. The video was obviously intended to be watched and taken as a whole, all elements being fictitious, including the seal behind the character portrayed by my client. It is unfortunate that the city council is nitpicking to find a basis to curb freedom of expression in the guise of defending a perceived dishonor.
"We strongly condemn this act of the Quezon City council which endangers the protection granted by the freedom of expression for artists, entertainers, content creators, and comedians who use satire or parody to express sentiments or criticize public acts or figures. This also endangers their livelihood since it appears to be a form of cancellation making them wary to take on similar works in fear that public officials will retaliate in similar fashion. As public officers, the members of the Quezon City council should be more prudent and circumspect in the exercise of their discretion and should not take hasty actions which could adversely affect my client and cause undue anxiety to her family and friends.
"While we believe that the resolution does not physically affect my client, we will be monitoring every statement made against her to ensure that my client's rights are protected."

Brit Nominated Calum Scott Announces Asia Tour
Following the release of “Heaven”, multi-platinum selling singer-songwriter Calum Scott announces his biggest headline Asia tour to date, the “BRIDGES” Asia Tour, including his debut shows in Tokyo, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur. He will come back to Manila on October 20, 2022 at New Frontier Theatre. Calum will kick off the Asia tour in Tokyo, Japan on October 18 before performing in Manila, Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore.

Says Calum, “It feels so incredible to announce my Asia tour! Calum has announced that his highly awaited sophomore album Bridges will arrive on June 17. The fourth single released from Bridges, “Heaven” once again reveals Calum’s gift for finding unexpected ways to express universal emotions. “As songwriters, we’re always searching for new ways of saying ‘I miss you’ or ‘I love you’ or ‘I want you back,’” says Calum, who co-wrote “Heaven” with Hayley Warner(an Australian singer/songwriter who’s also penned songs for artists like Katy Perry and Tori Kelly). “‘The concept of ‘Heaven’ is the love between two people being so powerful that it is far superior to anything else, any other form of paradise that could be offered. I loved the idea of putting the power into the relationship.”
The follow-up to Calum’s 2018 full-length debut Only Human—a widely acclaimed effort that hit No. 1 on the iTunes album chart in 21 countries across the globe, in addition to selling more than 3.6 million in adjusted album sales and garnering over 7.5 billion combined streams —Bridges will also feature the previously released singles “If You Ever Change Your Mind”(a bittersweet but empowered piece produced by Greg Kurstin, an eight-time GRAMMY Award® winner known for his work with Paul McCartney, Elton John, and Adele), “Rise”(a wildly soaring track whose video features a captivating performance from British actor Georgia Hirst), and “Biblical”(a heart-on-sleeve ballad Calum later followed with an American Sign Language version made in collaboration with the Tony Award®-winning Deaf West Theatre).

Actress Kylie Padilla unwittingly confirmed rumors regarding the separation of her old friend Max Collins from her husband, GMA artist Pancho Magno not too long ago.
The unintended revelation happened during the live broadcast of Kylie’s virtual interview for an online entertainment site recently. Kylie was promoting her new GMA primetime show “Bolera” when asked about her first friend in show business.
She said candidly and innocently after a long pause, “First friend talaga in show biz na friend ko pa rin hanggang ngayon — si Max Collins. We were together in ‘The Good Daughter,’ dun pa lang naging friends na kami, hanggang ngayon. Parehas kaming ikinasal, parehas naghiwalay, parehas kaming nanganak,” she said laughing.
The host then realized that this bit of information has never been confirmed yet by the parties involved.
Anyway, Kylie appears to be in a much better place now after the tumultuous period of her relationship with the father of her son, Aljur Abrenica. And so we trust that Max will be, too, if she is not there yet.
