Sometime ago, Businessman (BM) sought the services of a Talent Search contestant (TS) to model his merchandise. TS was an attractive young man, who was kind to do ex-deals via his social media accounts. BM was impressed with the attitude TS showed him. TS seemed to be a dream. Soon, they had an easy partnership.
As time went by, BM realized that TS managed to convince him to answer whims. TS was charming and decent to be with, which probably added to BM’s liking his personality. Soon, BM fell for a trap. TS was showered with expensive watches, clothes, bags, perfume, top of the line speakers, high-end coffee machine, among others. TS claimed he got the stuff using an online payment scheme. BM knew TS lied. Upon rough calculation, BM must have shelled a little over half a million.
One day, BM heard gossip about TS being a kept man of his boss, who was a family friend as well. The family knew of such relationship, too. When BM asked TS about the story, the young man denied and consequently treated BM rudely after a few days. TS accused BM of invading his privacy and a hassle in his life after spewing a few curses.
Not knowing how he should place himself, BM confirmed the story of TS from a retired showbiz personality, who once fell for TS. The lesson was learned too late, BM believed but survived. BM could only add his moments with TS to experience and hope no one falls for the trap later on.
