Avoiding Fault

While doing their project, Female Actress 1 (FA1) and Female Actress 2 (FA2) showed that behind the scenes, they were good friends. In the project, FA1 and FA2 were pitted against each other and their roles called for an acting showdown. The viewers were pleased, as FA1 and FA2 delivered. However, things are not what they seem.
FA1 has a reputation when it comes to boys she likes. In the said project, FA1 was supposed to be with Male Actor 1 (MA1) until the end of the project. Allegedly, the story was changed with the introduction of Male Actor 2 (MA2). Now, FA1 had to have more scenes with MA2. Fortunately, MA2 was charming and amiable. Thus, liking him was easy. However, FA1 fancied MA1 even to the point of risking her career.
Sometime ago, the production saw FA1 in a compromising scene with MA1. Things were kept in silence, but the management decided to move to prevent FA1 from going astray and bringing MA1 with her. MA1 took the words of the management seriously and stayed away from FA1. He and FA2 started working together and while MA1 tried to test the limits of FA2, he was stunned. FA2 was conservative and behaving like FA1 would be far-fetched.
MA2’s attitude matched FA1’s fancy. Thus, he allegedly gave in to the needs of FA1. However, FA1 would always say her heart belonged to MA1. FA1 tried to reach out to MA1, but her messages were not answered. MA1 was warned that he would be sent home if he dates FA1 at all. Moreover, MA1 was following strict instructions from the management that they should stick to their career path and that includes whomever the management assigns as their reel partner.
FA1 asked FA2 to talk to MA1 so they can all come to her home for a group date. FA2 refused, as she fears they might be caught by management. FA2 feared losing her career momentum. Besides, she did not want to lose opportunities that could help her family improve their living conditions. She does not want to return to being poor, which is why she follows the instructions of the management carefully and strictly.
FA1 was visible disappointed at the way FA2 turned down her idea. Thus, during an official event for their project, FA2 attempted to talk to FA1. FA1 turned her back and pretended to tinker with her mobile. Later, FA1 even left their social media chat group. For now, FA2 has to live with the attitude of FA1 and let the more mature one prevail.

Apparently, this lack of announced projects for FA can be blamed on her attitude and self-awareness that had gone into her head. The length of service of FA might have caused her to think that she is now in a position to choose her roles and reject the ones she simply does not feel like doing. Thus, the management decided to go with other talents in the network. After all, their talent pool is overwhelming with potential actresses and the network can transform a nobody into an important personality, like what happened to FA.
Other than FA’s attitude, the management found out that she went to an audition on the other side of the fence. She wanted to try her luck to be a leading lady in a huge project. However, the role went to a homegrown actress and FA was left out in the cold. Sensing, she might not have a future beyond her network, FA spoke with Powerful Officer (PO). PO gave her a straight answer when she asked about her status. Bluntly, PO allegedly said that if FA does not change her attitude, she will definitely have a stagnant career.
After a few days, FA was called to a meeting for a story conference. FA was going to join a young character actor. FA was introduced to the supporting cast and FA was surprised at the composition. She asked why newbies coming from the various talent competitions of the network comprised the team. The reply was a reminder, that is, she should not mind the situation, as she herself came from the same circumstances.
Realizing that she could not back out from the project given to her, FA could only smile back at the production team and sigh. Earlier, FA rejected a role when she found out that the project’s story would not revolve around her character, but with that of a returnee. She could not help but think that the role she had rejected seemed better than the one she had to accept now, or else she would lose her career.
