When Troubled Performer (TP) was at the height of her popularity, her singing and fashion style were admired and her shows were always well-attended. Many kids wanted to be like her and even sang her hits with glee. She was supposed to be successful, but somewhere along the way, TP seemed to have given up on what she had.
Although she had established roots in her career, she opted to leave everything behind for her family. For several years, she raised her child and was a wife to someone who also opted to close his doors on performing. Her fans thought she had done the right thing and placed her family first. Such decision was admirable. Then, news travelled fast and her fans were shocked to find out that she opted out of her marriage.
Several lovers followed but no one seemed to be the right one. Once in a while, TP would go on stage to remind fans that she still has the talent that wowed them when she was younger. However, there was too much fire in her and her attitude often got the better side of her. Sustaining a career in the local arena seemed impossible given her personality. Thus, living abroad seems to be a better choice.
While abroad, TP was helped by a kind couple who understood her situation. Even if she was a singer in the country, overseas, she was an ordinary citizen. The couple saw that TP was struggling and they invited her to stay with them out of the goodness of their hearts.
One day, The Wife (TW) felt something was off and her woman’s intuition was making her uncomfortable. Trusting her instincts, TW saw through TP, whose behaviour seems to have gone wayward. TW realized that TP was flirting with Her Husband (HH). Rather than risk losing her husband and breaking her family apart, TW had no choice but to make a heart-breaking decision. In the middle of the night, TW threw out TP on the streets. She was made to leave immediately and no amount of explanation could save her face nor her good ties with the couple who took care of her when she had nothing.

Low Gimmickry

Not everyone can get into international fashion events easily. One has to have a recognized name, which is synonymous to an established reputation and a well-placed network. Moreover, one needs to know who’s who among the guests so as not to appear like a snob or ignorant of the people in the show or in the after-event parties.
If one thinks that a ticket to get into the show is hard, it’s the location of the seat for a show that really spells out if one is made. Sitting in the front row means one is privileged or has the money to pay for such prized tickets. Benefactors do get to be seated in such prime places. Thus, not just anyone can sit on that row. Well, Seat Grabber (SG) tried to pull a fast one in a prestigious fashion event abroad.
SG probably arrived early to the event and scanned the best view for the show that was going to happen in a few minutes. Then, SG decided to take her seat to have a good vantage point. After a few minutes, Fashion Influencer (FI) came over and seemed to be looking at the seat where SG sat and checked out her pass. Politely, FI told SG that she was in her seat.
As the event is not her territory and if she makes a scene, her local and international reputation would be ruined, SG gave in to FI without much fuss. Then, as she moved seats, SG called out to FI and said that they know each other. The reaction of FI was priceless, as she could not at recall where she met SG. Overheard, SG said she and FI bonded over dinner with a friend. FI smiled back, but she could not really put a name to the face.
When SG moved down, FI called her attention to tell her that A Celebrity (AC) would be seated there officially. SG moved further down. Allegedly, SG did not really have a slot in the prime seat location, as she kept moving to the end part of the row. Then, SG started talking to AC, who seemed to be unaware of what game SG was playing. Soon, FI was glancing to the direction of AC, hoping that she would stop talking to someone who seems to be trying to be part of the select group bestowed with the best seats in the house.
