A New Justification

One who wants to stay in the entertainment industry will do everything in his/her power to make sure his/her career continues. Even if the needed action means swallowing one’s pride and turning tables around, the one who is career-hungry will do what he/she thinks ought to be done.

As soon as Young Celebrity (YC) realized that her career might not be that stable, she decided to take matters in her own hands even if it means risking her pride. Although she has a decent record as an investment for the management, most of her projects were done with Loveteam Partner (LP) and other celebrities who still have pockets of fans. Thus, YC cannot claim full credit for the success of her projects.

However, what alarmed YC was an incident involving LP that would have seemed minor, but for showbiz experts, the miscue was loaded with potential. During a significant event, LP expressed gratitude to everyone except for YC. Only when someone screamed her name from the audience did LP realized a major faux pas. Observers were quick to point out that whenever a partner from the loveteams of the station wins an award, the name of the other partner would be mentioned after God and family. In the case of LP, he missed it.

With such action, hints that something was amiss in their relationship were speculated. YC’s camp had to think smart and act quickly. The irony is that there was a time when LP was looked down upon by YC’s camp, but things have changed. YC is not the one making sure that LP will not go astray.

First, YC decided to reach out to Emerging Newbie (EN), who did not like the idea at first. After all, in an ongoing fan war, EN would always be the subject of bashers who claim to be YC-LP fans. What changed EN’s heart when she decided to respond positively to YC’s humbling invitation? A talk with the management melted EN. Given that YC is an important talent, higher ups told EN to remove any negativity or else.

EN understood and soon, she and YC were bonding. After all, despite her career being in jeopardy, EN was already falling for her Own Reel partner (OR) and has lost interest in LP. Similarly, YC is not interested in OR and has realized she needs LP. Thus, her moment with EN was also a chance to get to know about LP from the eyes of a former close friend. YC has a lot of work to do if she wants to keep her career and LP at the same time, and she is indeed serious about it.
