She Only Heard the Sound

For years, the career of Pretty Actor PA1 has been relatively steady, with a regular show and some provincial gigs to boot. PA1 has never had any 'attitude' ever since he started in showbiz, ergo his colleagues and co-workers love him dearly. But that is the icing on the cake, so to speak - because the real PA1 is keeping it on the down low.

PA1 has always been consistent in not confirming nor denying rumors about his alleged preference. For years, he is hounded by this controversy, but good for him, his silence on the issue has given him peace and some dignity.

But unknown to the public and most of his friends, there is the regular presence of an equally Pretty Actor PA2 in PA1's abode. PA2 would regularly drop by the house of PA1 and they would do stuff together. Many times, they would do workouts since PA1 has pieces of gym equipment. Sometimes, PA2 would even sleep over whenever he would be too drunk to drive home.

On one particular day, the two pretty actors locked themselves up in one of the small rooms in PA1's house. They took so long in there that the househelp got so worried so she decided to check on them. Then lo and behold, the help was scandalized when she overheard some strange, weird sounds coming from the room resembling that of..... Although she only heard the sound and was not able to see what they were doing, it was enough for her to conclude that ‘something very fishy’ was going on inside.

Love is a Battlefield: Furne One Wows in Finale of Fashion Forward Season 5

Furne One and Amato capped another glamorous season of Fashion Forward with a spectacular display of couture magic at his finale show entitled Love is a Battlefield.

‘Love is a Battlefield’ showcased a stunning panorama of the fictional world of Anna Karenina, a woman so devotedly in love, captured so elegantly in a collection that gives couture a refreshing twist with the use of denim and intricate beadwork that has become symbolic of the Amato brand.

In yet another jam-packed show, Furne One mesmerised the audience consisting of Dubai’s most fashionable set, with a 40-piece ensemble that showed his revisionist view of high fashion.

Who would have thought of using denim as fabric and pins for a couture show? With his vaunted creative flair, One’s collection wowed a visibly intrigued audience, with his masterful use of denim, lace and pins shaped into intricate forms of flowers and birds.

“We took a great risk using denim for a couture show, but I’m glad we were able to pull it off. We hope this puts denim in a new light, in the spirit of Amato’s tradition of breaking conventional aesthetics or definitions of what couture is all about,” said Furne One, creative director and founder of Amato.

With his latest collection under his label Amato, One gave couture another impressive twist, proving he is the master of design sophistication and dramatic creations truly deserving of the honour of closing Dubai’s pre-eminent fashion show.

Since FFWD started, Furne One has always been the finale show, a recognition of Furne One’s standing as the premier designer among regional fashion czars that have placed Dubai firmly on the global fashion scene.

Choosing His Career Over Love

Network wars are often viewed in terms of ratings and advertisers. The competition among the major networks has resulted in cornerning certain markets as well as talents. To assure that a network has a foothold in a particular genre, the management binds talents to lucrative contracts. Thus, when a talent has signed a contract with one station, he/she will not be able to appear in any project or show that is related to the other stations.

Sadly, the network wars have affected even the personal relationships of their talents. For instance, Daring Actress (DA) was the target of Young Actor (YA), but nothing prospered. Allegedly, the management of YA advised him not to pursue DA, as it would affect his career. Thus, even if he was in love with DA, he took the advice seriously and stopped pursuing DA.

Several factors could have affected the decision of YA. First, being in opposing networks might not be good for his career. Since his priority is his career, his choice of dropping DA is understandable. After all, YA has moved from one network to another hoping to have that lead status. His latest stop might be the last, so it’s best that he focuses on the opportunities being given to him. Second, DA was once involved with a Hot Talent (HT) in the same network as YA’s. Thus, such situation might be potential for awkwardness between YA and HT. Nonetheless, YA gave up on DA.

As for DA, it seems that lightning struck twice. First, HT broke off ties with her, and now, YA is no longer interested. Although DA is pretty, talented, and smart, her luck in men is not admirable. Both men opted to pursue their careers than have a relationship with her. Ouch!
