When foreign acts visit the country, measures are done to protect the privacy of the performers, especially if promoters know that such performers have a huge following. Once fans get wind of where a foreign celebrity is staying, fans will stalk and make sure they get a photo or video of the celebrity’s moments.
Sometime ago, International Celebrity (IC) flew into the country for a concert. Given the IC has captured the hearts of fans with his heart-tugging songs and his personal struggle to reach the top, IC has amassed an international following. Fans are attracted to his songs as well as his amiable personality.
When IC was relaxing at the hotel, Model Actress (MA) and her peers appeared out of nowhere and occupied the table next to where IC was chilling. Being a well-known celebrity herself, MA started to exchange pleasantries with IC. Lucky for MA, the security of IC was not that strict and they were not asked to leave him alone. Then, MA and her group started to order, and opted for one of the expensive wines on the list, a bottle of which costs around five figures. MA and group said to put their drinks on the tab of IC. As IC is known to be humble, he picked up the tab without hesitation. Then, MA and her group left.
Poor IC, as he did not realize MA and her group took advantage of him. IC planned to have a quiet night and wanted to swim. However, his plan did not materialize as MA and her group took much of his relaxation time. Thus, he went up and stayed in his room.
Although MA is not visible on tv these days, she is very active in social media and would post her photos with famous people on her account. MA and her group are known to hobnob with society people, and thus, project a classy image.
There is a difference between asking for one favor, and just taking advantage of someone. People need to learn that fine line. – Unknown
