The Mocking That Went Haywire
Prior to CS' appearance as guest at a television show co-hosted by WL, it was learned that WL was supposed to interview her. According to the source, WL was so excited for the opportunity…but in a different way.
Backstage, WL was overheard planning to sabotage CS in the show by doing the interview in straight English - something that CS is very weak and uncomfortable at. WL knew that by doing so, CS would be the laughing stock once more.. and on national television at that.
All these were reportedly heard by a Production Staff PS who was close to CS.
Needless to say, PS lost no time, and right there and then, immediately relayed to CS to warn her of the scheming plan of WL to grill and torment her on the spot. PS thought that the overwhelming embarrassment that it would cause CS was what CL was aiming for to gloat at.
CS was reportedly furious. She suddenly changed her mind and opted to be interviewed by another host where she would be safe and handled well. CS reportedly swore never again to give WL the luxury of doing a face to face interview with her and become her victim.
Most showbiz observers believe that the long-standing feud between CS and WL has no hope of ever coming to a close. Some say that even if WL and CS are thrown in an island together with no fans for cover, the possibility of friendship is as nil as oil and water.
CS allegedly uttered, verbatim, " Hinding hindi na ako makikipagplastikan sa kanya! "

Angel Locsin admitted that she and Luis are now officially dating on today’s episode of “Kris TV,” February 10.
Earlier during the show, Kris said she was able to talk to Luis Mazano who addressed her as “ninang.” Kris even told him, “Very happy si Ninang” while the “Minute to Win It” game show host replied, “Mas happy si Inaanak.” Thus, Kris looked for her other “inaanak,” actress Angel Locsin to confirm the status of her relationship with Luis.
According to Angel, they are still fixing things but they are “getting there.” She also confirmed that Luis visited her father, who is also happy for them. Kris asked Angel, “Kailan? Mag-iipon na ko,” pertaining to her being a godmother at their wedding. A laughing Angel then replied, “Gusto ko yan! Soon na yan, malapit na.” Kris even said, “You’re turning 29? So mga31. Nangialam si Ninang? 31 na lang, mag-iipon muna ako.”
“The Legal Wife” actress shared that she recently took her father to a trip abroad and revealed that she is very happy right now. “Ano ba matatago, masaya naman ako, bakit ba,” she said.
She also said that though she still has to talk to Luis’ mother, Vilma Santos in person, they exchange text messages. “Ok naman, blessed naman na kami.”
Angel told in the interview some realizations she has had on her relationship with Luis. “Na-realizenamin kung ano yung mga mistakes namin before. Ako madami ako na-realize tapos bumabawi na talaga ako.” Further, she confirmed that they are now officially dating. “So parang inaayos lang namin mga hindi namin na-settle before na mga issues. Pero yung mahal, love, nandun pa rin naman ‘di ba. Hindi naman namin yun nawala. Inaayos lang talaga namin at pinag-uusapan.”
Angel also added, “Kinain ko lahat ng sinabi ko na hindi makikipagbalikan sa ex… Happynaman ako.”
Lastly, Angel admitted that she has not seen or talked to ex-boyfriend, Phil Younghusband since their break-up. “Iniisip ng tao pinagsabay namin pero hindi po… Sobrang hindi po talaga,” she clarified.
Before the interview ended, Kris asked again, “Kailan ako magnininang?” to which Angel replied, “Malapit na.”

Chasing Credit

As a celebrity of such status, LG's lifestyle is labeled lavish, she who is such a shrewed when it comes to her finances and investments. Those privy to LG say that between her and a family member, LG is definitely cunning.
Being a big-earner herself, LG naturally can afford anything her heart desires regardless of the cost. LG who is a car enthusiast loves to drive cars, as in pricey imported cars which she fancies very much. It is no secret to her colleagues that LG puts premium on good, expensive cars, and puts good money on them to make them investment-worthy. And she makes no bones about showing them off.
Feeling that she can well afford a new car with her string of projects, LG went on to apply for a bank loan. But she was shocked when the bank denied her application. What gives?
Insiders say that no matter the millions, income from showbiz is not stable, and will never be. No matter what a big-named celebrity you are, money lenders are just too shrewd and circumspect to bite the millions a celebrity earns. But there are also several celebrities who have good standing in financing institutions. What then made LG any different?
Is it all in her reputation as a borrower and her industry status in general? Some kibitzers say that LG's credit history and overall personal/public reputation did her in. Did her name really pull her down? If we are to believe that banks put premium on the borrower's reputation – the answer is yes.

Filipinos embrace the Broadway hit currently running at the CCP Main Theatre
2012 and 2013 were big years for Philippine theater, for
both local and foreign productions. The plays and musicals ranged from stage
versions of hit films (like Atlantis Productions’ “Rock of Ages”), to original
Filipino musicals (like Spotlight Artist Centre’s “Katy! The Musical”), to
Broadway hits and their foreign companies (like Concertus Manila’s “Phantom of
the Opera”).
The diversity of choices offered something for every
Filipino. Most importantly, the love and support for theater and stage among
the Filipino audience, young and old, seemed to have been revived. The first
quarter of 2014 already sees a big hit in Concertus Manila’s “Wicked,” a
musical about the friendship between Elphaba and Glinda, the two witches of Oz,
before the story of “The Wizard of Oz” unfolded as we know it.
“Wicked” started running at the Cultural Center of the
Philippines Main Theatre last January 22. The season will end on March 9. Last
January 31, the company decided to stage a show solely for the benefit of
#YolandaPH survivors. An auction of amazing, once in a lifetime prizes is
ongoing at Ticketworld.
The press met the cast in a preview last January 23. It
wasn’t hard to see that part of the charm is not just the story and the
musical’s reputation, but also its cast.
Steve Danielsen as Fiyero, the love interest of Elphaba and Glinda
Steve began his career as a screen actor in 2004. He has
appeared on film and television projects such as “Queen of the Damned,”
“Neighbours” and “Marshall Law,” among others. He is a newcomer in theater and
stage, having trained with Tim Smith, Neil Semer and Broadway Dance Centre. His
other theater credits include “Legally Blonde the Musical” and “Xanadu the
Musical.”
Jay is a veteran in the entertainment industry. He appeared
in the films “Nim’s Island,” “Daybreakers” and “Star Wars Ep 1 and 2.” He began
in theater in 1984 at the renowned Mercury Theatre in Auckland (New Zealand). Jay
is remembered for his performances in “Jesus Christ Superstar” (as Judas),
“Disney’s The Lion King” (as Mufasa), “Sweet Charity,” “West Side Story” and
“The Rocky Horror Show.” He is a father of 8 and is of Samoan descent. His
Samoan name is, in fact, Manila.
Suzie was born in Scotland and raised in Australia. She
graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2007 with a
degree in Music Theatre. Suzie was an original company member in the Australian
premiere season of “Wicked” in Melbourne. She also played Sophie Sheridan in
the 10th anniversary Australian tour of “Mamma Mia!” Suzie comes to
Manila fresh from stints in Singapore and Korea, where she did over 300
performances. She is also active on social media (@suziemathers on Twitter and
Instagram).
Jemma has loved performing since she was a child in New
South Wales, Australia. At 21, she pursued this dream, and worked with
Universal Studios in Osaka, Japan as the Bride of Frankenstein in The Monster
Rock and Roll Show. This was also where she first played Elphaba, working with
“Wicked’s” creative team: Stephen Schwartz, Winnie Holzman and Marc Platt. Back
then, Jemma had to perform some parts of the musical in Japanese. Jemma has
been playing Elphaba since 2008. She has done more than 800 shows and counting.
Other members of the “Wicked” cast are Emily Cascarino as
Nessarose, Maggie Kirkpatrick as Madame Morrible, Edward Grey as Boq, Nathan
Carter as Dr Dillamond. Karen Johnson Mortimer is resident director and Kellie
Dickerson is resident musical supervisor.
