She Goes Mad and Envious
There’s hardly an air of positivity whenever the name of young star YS
crops up in conversations. Often, YS is labeled as an insecure soul,
flirt, stiff, among others. She’s also described as untrustworthy even
by her close friends. Oh well..
YS is cast in a drama series DS opposite accomplished actor AA. Having a unique story with talented cast, and using higher technology, DS is a hit and enjoying good ratings – something the cast and production are truly proud of. The production team PT really strives hard to keep on improving DS so that they will be able to sustain the high ratings.
However, one day YS was said to have ranted at PT for taking in a fellow young star FS as added cast to the show. YS is so against FS entry into the program since she said the focus of the story is slowly getting lost on her (YS) as a result. She was so furious and said that FS’ character is irrelevant and unnecessary and would only add confusion to DS.
Those who heard YS rant couldn’t help but comment how bitter and envious YS is of anyone, since they know how self-centered she can be. One insider said that she has no right to demand anything including reversal of the script since she hasn’t proven anything and that YS should even be thankful that she is given big projects despite that her latest projects failed overwhelmingly.
Meanwhile, the level-headed FS is happily getting along well with the rest of the cast and PT. Despite the trauma that she had in the past, FS’ maturity and positivity radiate and rub off on people – qualities that endear her to people including AA. Some insiders observe that AA and FS have very good chemistry. Hmmm…
With the way she's misbehaving, perhaps YS should pray for magic that she would not be oust in DS.

Daiana Menezes Cries: Benjamin Benaldo Made Me Look Stupid In Interview
Source: www.abs-cbnnews.com
MANILA, Philippines -- An emotional Daiana Menezes bared her hurt over her husband's behavior in their joint interview aired last Sunday, saying the outgoing congressman made her look "stupid."
Addressing Cagayan de Oro Rep. Benjamin Benaldo, the 25-year-old Brazilian model, in tears, said, "Sana ma-realize niya na ginawa ko 'yan para sa 'yo. Pwede mo naman i-air out, eh. Wala namang mali na magsabi na nagkamali ako, nagkamali lang tayong dalawa, pero huwag naman dumating sa punto na ako 'yung mukhang stupid, tanga o napakadaling mag-forgive."
Speaking exclusively with ABS-CBN News' Ginger Conejero, Menezes was referring to their interview with "The Buzz" host Boy Abunda that aired last Sunday.
In the interview, the couple maintained that no incident of domestic violence took place with Menezes apologizing for her her actions on social media last week.
On her page on image-sharing service Instagram, Menezes had shared a series of images pertaining to violence against women, including ones showing the words "No to rape," "Real Men Don't use Violence," and "There is no excuse for abuse."
Another photo on Menezes' Instagram page showed an arm bleeding from cuts and wounds.
But on Tuesday, the model lamented that Benaldo's part in the interview did not appear consistent with the apology about the controversy he had issued after Menezes' posts stirred speculation.
"I was very disappointed because I exposed myself to the point na from Instagram post, into the whole interview thing and all I wanted was the statement given by my partner would be consistent to what we saw on the camera and in the interview itself by Tito Boy," she said.
"It didn't happen. A person was just beside me blank, letting me come out matapang and giving the impression to the public that what I said was unreliable when in fact he already said sorry," she added.
'No concern'
Menezes pointed to Benaldo's supposed air of indifference during the interview, saying, "Wala man lang concern. I'm exposing myself to that and then wala, blank."
"He apologized to me personally, and he released a statement to the public. But when we aired our side together, in front of the public and everything, there was like no apologies at all, and that made me feel like I was the one who had the problem," she tearfully said.
She added: "I am just going through a phase that I cannot even control my emotions anymore, because if my partner cannot support me on cam but just behind the camera, it will be really hard for me to move forward."
Referring to her being emotional, Menezes admitted that she feels "a little bit of anger" toward her husband.
"Whenever I get teary-eyed, at the of the day, tama ba na ako pa 'yung mali? It happened na eh. I cover you up from the fight," she said.
"No matter what happened, I can never get into details, kasi ayoko na madamay 'yung tao dahil mahal ko siya. Pero gusto ko sana maintindihan ng mga tao na hindi lang ako gumagawa ng issue," she added.
A 'victim'?
Although she categorically denied in her "The Buzz" interview that there was an instance of abuse in their relationship, Menezes said, "To clarify, I'm not the girl who cried wolf."
Explaining that she did not mean for their fight to go public on social media, Menezes said she was pushed to post the controversial images because "I was emotionally unstable at that time, and too depressed to express my feelings."
Asked if she considers herself a "victim" of abuse, Menezes said, "I consider myself... pwede... ayoko naman magsabi ng words na 'victim.' Hindi eh, parang ang hirap... wala, it's just really, really tough right now."
"It's not something that involves just me and Benjo and my mom. It's the public, it's everyone bashing. It's everything, eh," she said.
Menezes' mother, who flew in from their native Brazil early this week, was at the model's side during her interview with ABS-CBN News.
According to Menezes, her mother is the one most hurt by the turn of events.
"She's very hurt na parang, 'Bakit ganoon? Anak ko 'yan eh.' ... It's just so hard for her din to accept because I'm the only child, and then she came over from the other side of the world, and then at the of the day, [I'm] only 25, 'Bakit?'" Menezes said.
Moving forward
Admitting she regrets that her relationship with Benaldo has turned sour, Menezes said she is nonetheless considering filing for divorce.
The couple married in a civil wedding in Las Vegas in December last year.
"It's one of the options, to divorce, pero we were planning the [church] wedding eh. Parang napaka-contradicting sa isip mo na you're planning to get married," she said.
"So I'm torn... Will I get into a divorce because of this fight and what people are telling me to do, or follow my heart? 'Yun ang hindi ko talaga mapi-figure out until binigyan niyo po kami ng space, ng time siguro," she said.
Explaining why she still considers building a life with Benaldo, Menezes said, "It's just talagang love. Patawarin niyo ako kung in love ako. Sorry, blind siguro. Sorry, that's life. It happens."

She's No Do-Gooder

Are celebrities expected to lift a hand for a fan who is in dire need of
it? Are fans supposed to expect help from their idols when the urgency
of the problem proves to be threatening?
This maybe answered depending on one’s culture and tradition. But the truth is: Fans evolve, and so do celebrities. Fans of today are quite a mile away from those of decades ago.
Similarly, fans are generally passionate about everything that concerns their idol. These are the people who will defend their idol to death – at all cost – hook, line and sinker. Observers no longer call it admiration - but obsession - fanaticism – ready to face and prove to anyone that their idol can do no wrong.
Stars and celebrities treat their fans in various ways. Some treat them as such - fans - with a dividing line careful not to go overboard to protect the their privacy. There are also stars who treat them as family, a part of their entourage wherever they go because trust is so well-placed.
Today’s fans are very demonstrative, unbelievably generous - spending bottomless to buy their idol anything to make their star happy and remember them (the fans) more. For all the names that they are called – fanatics, devotees – there’s no denying that fans are the most invaluable allies any celebrity can ever have.
But what if such fans are the ones needing help? Should celebrities help? Are they expected to?
Major celebrity MC has a fans club whose active member AM was stricken ill and had incurred huge hospital bills in her confinement. AM had extreme financial difficulty, thus her fellow members FM tried hard to raise funds for her. Unfortunately, the funds were so short to cover up the problem.
The problem was urgent and serious, and they had no more option left but to ask help from MC. Although very shy to approach MC, FM did it in the hope that it would in a way help alleviate the problem. After all, AM is known to MC since she and FM are a constant presence in all of MC’s major events and activities.
Upon being informed of the situation, MC allegedly approached and convinced a close relative CR that they should help AM. However, CR put her foot down - she was not convinced with the idea and told MC that it would only set a precedent for other fans to do the same – to ask them for help everytime. But MC argued with CR, saying that the fan is a valued one, and she had every right to help anyone she wishes – it’s her money anyway. But as expected - CR, true to form - was unmoved.
Hardworking MC lost to dependent CR for the nth time – what else is news?

Letter from a Reader: Grossly Repulsive
Dear Fashion PULIS,
Hi FP, I would like to share with your readers an experience I will never forget.
My sisters and I encountered the rudest, most impolite, insensitive, disrespectful, and ill-mannered has-been starlet tonight.
We
were at Pepper Lunch in Greenbelt, with tables close to each other.
Beside us, the said starlet was with her kids and yayas. Suddenly, the
two kids were having their diapers changed right on the dining table
for the whole world to see their privates. So while we were eating, bare
asses and used diapers were staring at us!
We
silently called the yaya's attention that there was a rest room they
could go to do their thing. The yayas understood and were going to
oblige but the shameless starlet told them not to mind us because we
were old.
Although
shocked at her brazenness, we told her that she will also grow old one
day, then she replied, "mas matanda naman po kayo."
We
said we know, but the issue was that we didn't like bare asses staring
at us while we were eating. She rudely shot back, "can you please just
shut up!" - turned her back and left.
We were all
shocked at such impertinence and the nerve of that woman. And made us
realize that the sweetness in front of the camera was really just for
show!
The saving factor was the service personnel, Rey who approached us and apologized for their $f@*!$#?! customer.
Thank
you, Fashion PULIS, for being a venue for us to air our angst against
people who think they are so high and mighty above anyone.
Glenn
