Repost: Krista Miller’s Camp Insists Actress Not Drug Pusher

The camp of actress Krista Miller on Tuesday insisted that she is not a drug pusher, but the Quezon City police said that the evidence against her is strong.
In an exclusive report on Unang Balita on Wednesday, GMA News' reporter Marisol Abdurahman quoted the actress as saying that she would not grant any interview with media this time.
At the Quezon City Police District Office where Krista is being held, her father appealed to the public not to judge his daughter, insisting that she is not a drug pusher, report said.
Krista's lawyer Atty. Ramon Vargas told GMA News that she is innocent. "Based on my interview with her, she was not after selling drugs."
On the hand, the police insisted they have strong evidence against Krista.
Senior Supt. Guillermo Eleazar said, "Nasa list natin siya, may information tayo sa kanyang activities."
Four celebrities have already been arrested in the intensified drive against illegal drugs under the Rodrigo Duterte administration. These include: DJ Karen Bordador, Sabrina M, Krista Miller, and Mark Anthony Fernandez
Kapisanan ng mga Artista sa Pelikulang Pilipino at Telebisyon president Rez Cortez appealed to celebrities into illegal drugs: “Bago umabot doon sa point na aarestuhin kayo, idedemanda at baka humantong sa pagkamatay or pagkasugat ng isang artista, tigilan na natin.”
Also, Cortez said the organization is trying to police its own ranks, but he appealed to authorities, if possible, not make public the names of celebrities arrested in anti-illegal drugs operations. — LBG, GMA News

Maybe It’s Not Yet The Right Time

Sometime ago, WA was considered a favorite endorser because of her good registry on screen. Her face was refreshing and her endorsements became popular. However, one incident in of her commercials made advertisers think twice of how WA should act in front of the camera.
After her comeback, several endorsements were lined up and were just waiting for the final signature. However, such endorsements are still hanging in the air. Rumors have it that the equivalent of all those endorsements is beyond seven figures. The potential earning of WA and commission of her talent agency were put on hold because of several unforeseen circumstances.
For example, the recent project WA had with her network did not register the high rating the series was expected to generate. Although the presence of WA was meant to add interest to the show, viewership was not enough then to attract advertisers. The support of the network is strong for WA. Despite the series, WA had a prior show, which was her primary responsibility. While the show seemed to be doing well, the network ended the run and said that it was just really meant for a number of episodes. Still, what kibitzers could not stop saying is that, according to them, WA no longer has the ‘it’ factor. In other words, despite the change in image, the career of WA has not reached investment returns as expected. Naturally, a network cannot live on pretty faces all along, it needs to reinvent and seek new talents, shows, and gimmicks to entice viewership. Perhaps, for WA, the timing is not yet right.
‘Patience is power. Patience is not an absence of action; rather it is ‘timing,’ it waits on the right time to act, for the right principles and in the right way.’ – Fulton J. Sheen

Repost: The New Philippine Ambassador to the U.N. Teddy Locsin Jr. Appears to be Invoking Nazis on Twitter
This comes as the fallout over President Rodrigo Duterte's analogy between his drug war and the Holocaust continues
A Twitter feed apparently run by the Philippines’ newly appointed ambassador to the U.N., Teddy Locsin Jr., contains several Nazi references made in support of President Rodrigo Duterte’s brutal war on drugs.
The recent Nazi-themed comments, which are now resurfacing in Philippine media, are similar to those made by Duterte last week. (The account they are made from is not verified by Twitter but a Twitter account with the same name is regularly cited in Philippine media as belonging to Locsin.)

Locsin, a former legislator and TV host who claims to be of partly Jewish descent, appears to defend Nazis in several tweets.

The Twitter account also features tweets directed at media and alluding to Nazi Germany or the Holocaust.

The office of the Philippine delegation to the U.N. did not immediately respond to an emailed request for comment from TIME.
President Duterte’s brutal war on drugs, which amounts to little more than state-sanctioned extrajudicial killing, has seen more than 3,000 deaths since he took office in June. On Friday, Duterte said, “Hitler massacred 3 million Jews. Now, there are 3 million drug addicts … I’d be happy to slaughter them.”
