To Love and To Learn
A beautiful friendship bloomed between two of its main stars
on the set of their former teleserye. They enjoyed each other’s company so much so that even after the serye ended, actress and endorser AE and multi-awarded
actress MA still continue to see each other regularly and bond like sisters.
AE and MA are both
beautiful and sought-after actresses, and even then, there is no room for envy between them. Apart from being in-demand
stars, both are magnets for controversies inspite of their quiet demeanor. But
they don’t mind, what’s important is their friendship and the many things they have in common.
Allegedly, one of those they have is the love of
the ‘stuff.’ Then and now, this is nothing
new to showbiz. Others justify using it because of the very stressful work coupled with so many personal issues that can
take its toll on their performance. Hence they take to the stuff to make them ‘sane’ – what an irony!
In a show that they do together, the production scheduled a
technical rehearsal for the performers.
Most stars did their part and came on time. However they were pissed and waited too long for AE
and MA who came in several hours late. When they finally came, it was obvious that they had a hit. As a result, AE and MA
were acting strange and could not deliver.
But between the two, it was alleged that it was AE who was
obviously more ‘loaded.’ Even days before the said rehearsal, some insiders
already took notice that she was not herself most of the time. There are allegations that she is having episodes of ‘depression’ – something that
was not impossible given the heavy issues that AE has to deal with in her
personal life. The question is: Is she or isn't she?
“Rock bottom is good solid ground, and a dead end street is
just a place to turn around.”

Just a Botched Attempt to Take Him Home
Versatile celebrity (VC) got smitten with character actor (CA) that he took the chance to be close to him at a gathering. After a long night of drinking, most of the guests were already drunk, and so was CA. Slowly, VC started to make the moves with a few subtle touches here and there. CA was quite drunk, and he seemed to not mind what VC was doing.
When it was time to go home, VC insisted on bringing CA home. VC collected the stuff of CA and was ready to bring it to his car. He was already pulling CA, but got shocked. CA suddenly refused the offer, and said in a loud voice that he did not want to go with VC as something might happen.
Poor VC, he was unsuccessful in his attempt to bring home CA that night. VC cannot be blamed for being attracted to CA as the scruffy look and bad boy image of CA do cut across genders. Besides, CA is also a convincing actor when he plays villain roles. Well, if at first you don’t succeed, you can try again. Will VC give it another try?

The Capriciousness of the Actress
Images courtesy of www.ludix.com
Nowadays, the trend is to give the spotlight to ordinary people who have resemblance to celebrities. Most celebrities do not take their look-alikes seriously, and take to them as part of their popularity. Some would even pose with their “double” just for the fun of it.
However, young controversial talent (CT) showed the opposite of her sweet image when she was told that the girl imitating her had a very close resemblance to her. Off camera, CT was asked if she could approach the girl who came as a guest in their show. Instead of just being game, CT adamantly refused and said, “I do not like it - not funny at all!!” Then, she turned her back and walked away.
Someone remarked that CT probably did not want to have a face-off with the girl because she probably worried that her alleged physical enhancements might become even more noticeable. After all, CT has always stuck to her guns that she has not undergone anything drastic to fix any part of her face and body.
Strangely, with all her current controversy, CT seems to be portrayed as the underdog and the “victim,” but in such a simple task as approaching a contestant, she had to be a KJ and refused.

Awkward Flight Companions

It is a fact: We achieve nothing on our own. We feel good when our hard work yields success, but we should also be grateful enough to acknowledge the people who are part of it. Our victories also belong to them who were with us along the way, helping us curve that label we call success.
However, this situation is not the case for a popular public servant (PS). Sometime ago, PS was introduced to a very influential player in showbusiness (VI) by a powerful politician (PP). Although already known as the likely heir to the throne of his well-loved father, PS needed to attract the masses, and get away from the dad’s shadow. Having ties with VI, who was about to take the plunge in politics was already battle half won.
When VI’s venture into politics abruptly ended, PP continued to be with PS patiently helping him build up his career. Such had deepened their relationship that extended even to the level of family. As the years passed, PS became a household name in no time. PS had evolved from a plain nobody to a well-respected young public official.
Due to some recent events, PS had a falling out with PP. Although at first both were vocal that their personal relationships will not be jeopardized by their professional issues, the actions of PS prove otherwise.
On a recent flight, seating arrangements for PP and PS were numbered next to each other. Unknowingly, PP sat on the seat of PS. When PS arrived, he was cold and instructed an attendant to ask PP to vacate the said seat. PP obliged as requested. When PP saw it was PS who would be his seatmate, he greeted him “Hello!” PS only nodded.
That must have been an awkward flight as PP was almost ignored by PS, who at some point, he considered almost like his son.
“No one who achieves success does so without acknowledging the help of others. The wise and confident acknowledge this help with gratitude.” — Alfred North Whitehead
