His Lowbrow Cost Cutting

Controversial and in demand actor CA has been in showbiz long enough to be able to afford the comforts and luxuries in life and make investments as he wishes to. Recently, CA made it known that he was interested to invest in a rest house, and that it had to be within the range of his budget of Php 20Million. A seller responded to the call, thus CA made a visit for a look-see to one of the properties being offered to him. The owner OW was with him in the "tripping" ( a term used in real estate industry to mean a buyer's inspection of a property he is interested in )
The property is seated in an exclusive enclave of the rich located in the southeastern part of Manila. The Chinese owner who was very low-key and simple, as most Chinese are, did not properly introduce herself as the owner to CA. As he was being shown the property, CA kept mumbling and criticizing almost every aspect of the house. OW although really slighted kept her cool and was civil towards CA. Throughout the entire visit, CA did nothing but belittle and malign the property.
OW was wondering where CA was coming from with his harsh comments as her property was well-maintained and far more beautiful enough than the rest in the area. Oh well, perhaps CA inspite of his status, still has that uncultivated or non-intellectual tastes for the finer things in life?
At the end of the trip, instead of thanking the owner, CA asked the owner sarcastically, "Yun na yun?!" Translation: Your property is too ugly and overpriced at Php 20Million.
The poor OW took everything in stride. And she was not surprised at all as she watched CA snubbed and refused her staff who politely requested him for a photo. OW just shook her head and walked away.
As usual, what is there to expect from someone who seems to disrespect just anyone and anything? Heard that CA is again scouting for a piece of property, this time allegedly for his girlfriend. Question: Will his Php 20Million budget cover enough for his requirements? Just asking.........

Sarah G Live and Another Sunday Show to be Axed Soon

Two Sunday shows from ABS-CBN are set to bid adieu very soon. One is a musical variety show and the other one is another Sunday show.
The musical variety show Sarah G Live hosted by singer actress Sarah Geronimo will air its final episode this Sunday, a year after it debuted on television. Allegedly, the decision was reached following reports that there was big decline in ticket sales of Sarah's provincial concerts. Obviously and understandably since SG is seen doing the same thing on television anyway. The show's staff had long prepared themselves for the eventual demise of the show which they expected to be on February 17 yet. What took them by surprise last week was when it was announced to them that the show will end prematurely and will have it's final episode this coming weekend already.
Fans and followers of Sarah often hunger for her to appear in movies and or television sitcoms which had not been happening for quite a long time. SG's management had been criticized for obviously forgetting that Sarah is not just singer but an actress, too. Allegedly, SG's bosses succumbed to the pressure and gave in.
On the other hand, another Sunday show from the same network is now on the chopping board. Can you guess which one is waiting to be axed soon? Everyone will have a big shock - that's for sure!

Was It A Gift to Him?

Recently, HY came out with a picture of a high-end car, and even christened it with a cute nickname. When the pictures came out, questions as to how HY acquired such a pricey car started to come out. Well, HY could always say that his hard work paid off. After all, he was part of a teleserye that had a very successful run, and has made him a household name.
However, rumors are loud that the said car is an alleged gift from someone who is so smitten with HY. The alleged giver even flew all the way to Manila to meet HY. Having a ''sponsor'' is nothing new to the controversies hounding HY and his career. A few years ago, a photo circulated around websites asking if the person giving HY a buss on the cheek was his alleged benefactor. The story behind that photo generated enough publicity to make people give HY a second look. Regardless of how it was acquired, HY has a new car and that is all that matters to make him smile.

The Never Ending Drama of The Dramatic Actress

The offer was so sweet that SA grabbed the opportunity, and she was once again seen on primetime. Sadly, although the project was promising with its cast and storyline, it did not generate the interest needed for her to have a successful comeback. Her drama series only lasted for a season. SA, now vacant, never lost hope, and she continued to have appearances on tv and the movies. Her fans clamoured for a follow up of her telenovela, but the waiting game continued for several months. Finally, the network said it already had a major project for SA, which was to be launched early this year.
Then, the publicity suddenly died down. Apparently, SA got sick and thus, the taping for the pilot episode had to be moved. The poor production people had to wait for her, and activities related to her in the series had to stop. Ah, but the head of the production (HP) was wise. SA has been known for her idiosyncrasies during her career, such as making people wait for hours while she stayed in her room.
Hence, HP supervised the stay of SA in the hospital to make sure just in case SA was having one of her “dramatic spells.” Was HP doubtful of the veracity of “the sickness “of SA?
At her age, SA should already be more conscious of living a healthier life minus the typical habits that go with the business such as smoking, drinking, staying up late socializing, etc. Moreover, SA should think of how many of the smaller people in the production will not get paid because of delays and work stoppage.

Oprah Winfrey Slapped with Sex Discrimination Suit

Oprah Winfrey does not look out for her own ... at least that's what is alleged in a new lawsuit in which a female exec at OWN claims she lost her job because she got knocked up.
According to a lawsuit filed Friday, Carolyn Hommel claims she was hired in 2010 as senior director of scheduling and acquisitions at Oprah's OWN network. Hommel claims she was told she was on-track to become a VP, but says things took a sudden turn when she became pregnant.
According to Hommel ... her duties were slowly transferred to a temporary employee and she was excluded from meetings when she returned from medical leave. Hommel claims she was let go ONE MONTH after giving birth and told to re-apply for the VP gig ... only to be passed over.
Furthermore, Hommel claims her boss, Michael Garner, fabricated a performance review that "made Hommel's job duties and responsibilities appear less 'senior' and therefore not a candidate for the new vice president position."
Hommel allegees her dismissal was a direct result of her becoming pregnant and requiring a medical leave.

Must They Deny Their Secret Rendezvous?
Sources have it that YA and CM are still together despite the risk and their separation middle of last year. They managed to reconcile because CM exerted effort to win back YA. Now, they are very careful in hiding their relationship. To avoid detection, YA is the one who goes to the pad of CM, and not the other way around. Even if they are together in an event, they are careful not to be photographed together.
However, it seems that YA and CM are going on another out of town rendezvous very soon. Both will be in the same vacation spot during the same week this year, but CM will arrive a few days ahead of YA. Are their scheduled trips to the same spot at almost the same time merely coincidental? Incidentally, this is the same area where they were allegedly photographed last year. While YA seems to want to not hide his true self, his career says otherwise. Expect more denials of the rumors from his camp soon. Do remember that where there is smoke, there is fire.
Latest Update: According to a reliable source, YA had already made confession to his family and to his network managers very recently. YA could have been hit hard by his deep affection towards CM and can not risk losing him. In fact he threatened his family that should they (the family) try to separate him with CM, he would not think twice of committing suicide.

Just Take It With a Grain of Salt

Showbiz Mother SM and daughter SD went shopping for replica Goyard bags in a popular flea market in the metropolis. The bags were to be given as gifts to their friends. SM and SD were haggling for the best price for the the 10 pieces of knock-off Goyard bags that they were buying from the seller. There were many other shoppers in the store as it was a payday weekend and there was mad rush everywhere. The store's sales staff SS(tinderas) were very busy attending to different customers.
SM on the other hand was busy haggling with one of the SS. After she was given a sizable discount, SM and SD took the initiative to putting the items inside their shopping bags since SS were attending to other buyers as well. When SM and SD finished, they hurriedly paid for the items and left.
Suddenly, SS had a hunch that something went wrong. Immediately she counted and mentally inventoried the remaining bags and lo and behold, 2 pieces were missing! She panicked and hurriedly ran after the mother and daughter who were walking amidst the sea of shoppers. When SS caught up with them, she politely told them of the problem: that the two missing items could have been placed (accidentally?) inside their shopping bags.
SM was furious and embarrassed at the same time as they were attracting people's attention. She told SS that it's impossible that the missing bags were with them as she personally counted everything carefully. But she knew that she wouldn't be able to get away with not opening the shopping bag, so she hesitantly gave in to SS' request to open it -- and true enough, as expected, the 2 bags were there (shopping bag had 12 pcs. instead of 10pcs.)!
It was such a painful situation to be in for the three of them right that very moment as "uzi's" were aplenty and looking malicious. Both SS and SD had a hard time feigning everything was okay amidst such major embarrassment. Meanwhile SS apologized and left quietly with the 2 bags in hand.
Tip: When thinking naughty, be smart. Avoid stepping on potential land mines.
