"I am not loved by my station!" went the rant of an entertainer while rehearsing for a show. The entertainer is an original talent of his current network and has had a series of hits both as a singer and as an actor. He even went abroad and was bestowed a title for his international performances. However, despite his achievements, the network is not as keen on him as before. 

To spice up the rumors of his impending decision, a female singer publicly invited him to follow her. The buzz has it that the entertainer is being groomed to be part of the mentors in her show. In a few days, this entertainer will decide if he will cross the bridge or stay put. Do you think he should make the move or not?

Duh? Horticulturist?

In the promotion of a movie, the actors in the movie were interviewed by showbiz writers one on one. A respected showbiz writer (SW) asked hunky actor (HA) regarding his role in the movie. Here is the
conversation:

SW: So, HA, your role is a horticulturist?

HA: Ay, ambastos mo naman. Anong t*k*l? (Then he flashed his sheepish smile.)

SW did not react and merely pretended he did not hear the response of HA. However, another writer overheard their conversation and sent a message to someone who is close to the actor. The message of the writer was simple – "please inform HA what horticulturist means."

Now, is there a connection between this incident and the reported absence of HA in the more recent press con of the movie?

Codename: Luningning

In a recent event, a staff of a production wanted to get the opinion of the singer-actress on the show that was being staged. The catch is that the singer-actress and the staff were of rival networks. When the staff was cleared by the network to interview the singer-actress, he was surprised that she gave a positive response.

After the show, together with a friend, the singer-actress agreed to be interviewed. Her friend said there should be one condition and that was: “No asking about Luningning.” The singer-actress giggled and reiterated, “Yes, no Luningning.” Then, they both laughed and gestured a “shhhh.”

The staff pretended not to hear and went on with the interview. The staff even ignored what seemed to be a different behavior of the singer-actress that night. However, what we could not ignore is figuring out the identity of Luningning. Do you know who goes with the codename Luningning?

Castigating the Witness

This ordinary worker, who came out in an interview to reveal the story behind the kissing of a controversial couple, was recently fired. The come-backing actress-singer (CB) demanded that the administration of the building fire the poor worker for squealing about her tryst with the hunky personality (HP). Now, the worker is jobless and looking for ways to support his children.

Incidentally, more people have seen the couple together contrary to their denial. [Note: HP continues to deny CB. Sometime ago, HP even claimed his ex (X) was the first to stray and after a few hours, issued a retraction.] There are the people at the restaurants where CB and HP often have lunch together. There are people who see HP often entering the elevator of the building where CB lives. Will CB demand the “firing” of these people, too?

Meanwhile, now that her relationship with HP is over, X should be free to date anyone she pleases with no questions asked, right?

One Lost Mobile

A boy band member lost his mobile in the TV studio of a show where he and his fellow singers guested. For the rest of the day, he was not tweeting. Some of his twitter fans were a bit impatient because he was not responding. The next day, which was concert day, he was back on twitter. His tweets hinted about losing his mobile and his worry over his passkey being figured out. Later, the band member tweeted that they were looking forward to doing another gig in the country.

To keep the story of the lost phone hushed up, the management of the show issued a news blackout on the embarrassing incident and replaced the lost phone of the foreign guest.

Covering Up the Separation

It seems everyone is buying the story of why a famous entertainer (E) is living away from her mother. E publicly acknowledges her mother as the person responsible for bringing her to where she is now. Yet, they are not together. The local press has been playing the story that the mother has prioritized love over her E and most people think that is quite acceptable.

However, the hush-hush story is that, sometime last year, E and her mother had an argument. The mother confronted E regarding her clubbing and drinking. In the heat of the argument, the mother threw something at E. Someone saw what happened and reported the incident to the authorities. Up to now, they have yet to lift the ban on the mother. Well, E is living independently but loyal FP readers know that E is not alone.

Coming to His Rescue

One cannot go wrong in having him (H1) host any show. He looks good and registers well onscreen. He is very confident and credible. Of course, H1 has impeccable diction and good command of English. He can even deliver in Filipino without stammering. Unfortunately, an incident sometime ago prompted witnesses to wonder if H1 were really that good.

As he was about to promote his own show in another program, H1 got annoyed at the absence of a prompter (also known as the idiot board). The production team did not prepare any lines for H1 at that time. They thought that since H1 was good, H1 can survive the on the spot plugging. They were wrong and H1 walked out.

The story does not end there. One of the said program’s hosts (H2) came to the rescue. H2 reprimanded the production people and told them it was their job to write something and that they should take better care of the talents of their network.

Rebounding on the Rebound

After the turmoil sometime ago, she found solace in the arms of the son of a controversial politician. Although the son was not a public figure, he and the politician were dragged into her public struggle for a few weeks. As the controversy refused to die, she stayed quiet and disappeared from the public scene for a while. Everyone thought she found happiness and peace in that guy. However, that is not the case. She had recently dropped him and is now seeing someone new. This new love interest is someone who has survived his own crisis as well.

Will this new relationship merit a series of tweets? Let's wait and see.

Riding on the High Horse

Last Friday, the production team and the hosts of this variety had to tape some of the segments for Monday's show. Taping for a live show requires more patience on the part of the hosts compared to airing show live. To maximize the daylight, the male host was requested to speed up his segment. Out of frustration, he got angry at one of his female co-hosts. The head tried to talk to him but he blurted at her, too, and walked out.

The production team and the other hosts got frustrated with his attitude. Even the director did not like what the host did. The host did not even bother to consider that they were half-way done with the taping and his walking out cost the production delays, not to mention having to make adjustments as he would have to be written out in some segments. Come Monday, his segment will be missing from the show (unless he changed his mind and decided to go back again).

A Case of Blackmail?

Do you still wonder why a network still gave controversial personality (CP) her own show despite the shelving of an original show intended for her and her interesting revelations? Allegedly, the network was pressured because the management of CP threatened to pull out two bankable talents from the network if CP were left in the cold.

The buzz is that the network is not inclined to believe that CP will bring the ratings for the new show. However, the network cannot afford to lose the other two performers. Will the new show redeem CP and give her image a fresh look or will the network be right after all?

Denying but Not Hiding?

This photo shows a controversial couple (CC) and a child walking in a high-end shopping district. Witnesses said they were shopping for gifts together and had just stepped out of a toy and hobby store. This photo was taken late last year.

Recently, showbiz followers were caught unaware when the news finally exploded that CC was having an affair. Both denied ever going beyond being acquaintances and seeing each other. She issued her denial via an interview, while he went online. Then, neither could be accessible anymore when witnesses contradicted their stories.

Both share something more than the denial of a relationship between them. At any rate, he probably found her accent alluring, while she could not resist his scent.
