Congrats reaching your first slam second week Alex! Medyo over the top yung celebration niya, that's usually how you do it when you've already won a slam tournament. To be fair, she's already won ~Php 24 million by reaching the fourth round of this year's Wimbledon.
ReplyDeleteCelebration is celebration, walang over the top. Emotion yan.
DeleteIga Swatek is Iga Swatek. If you beat one of the greats kahit hindi pa finals sinong hindi mag celebrate?
DeleteHindi over the top kapag natalo niya ang number 3 seed sa tournament. First time din siya makakatapak sa round of 16.
Parang ganito. She referred to Iga - defending Wimbledon champion and World No. 3, who had a lot of grand slams under their name, esp Venus or Serena. To other people, winning that round or having that accomplishment is small. But to someone who grew up in the Philippines, to her, it is everything
DeleteI have watched tennis since childhood.
A win is still a win. Mabuhay ka kabayan
Do not invalidate her. She can celebrate however she wants!
DeleteNAKAKAIYAK KAHIT VIEWS LANG SA VIDEOS NIYA ANG CONTRIBUTION KO. HAHAHAHA
DeleteSusko di ka true fan ng tennis hello di lahat nanalo lalo ng grand slam so etong na reach ni Alex needs to be celebrated regardless. Wag kang mema 1st ever pinay to ever make a mark
DeleteAng haba ng kuda mo. Ang tanong, ano na naachieve mo in life? Paki lapag!
Deleteok lang the way she celebrated. Have you seen the other players they even lay flat on their back. Peace.
DeleteSi Grigor Dimitrov nga grabe din celebration as a comeback player eh. Mahirap po makapasok sa round 16, even too player upset
Delete1145, huh? Nanonood ka ba ng tennis ever? And regardless, who are to limit someone how they celebrate their wins? That’s the problem with people who only appreciate the trophy but not the journey.
DeleteHAWEEEY MAN!!!Just let us all celebrate without reserve.I love tennis and always enjoy watching Wimbledon.I live in UK for decades and always cheer for British players from Henman Andy and Emma.Never thought I'll be cheering my very own KABABAYAN this time.If she will reach semi or finals and I will be on shift I will definitely phone in sick.
DeleteLol!! Anong comment yan? She’s happy and open to what she felt at that moment. Mapipigilan ba yon? Maiisip pa ba yon na dapat wag muna ako masyadong magsaya kse madami pang game? Lol
DeleteNakakaproud. Kahit yung pinapanood namin kanina sa YT na live me nakaharang na malaking square sa screen (because of copyright perhaps) ang mahalaga nakikita yung score. Grabeh yung game 2 ang tagal bago makuha yung match point! Congratulations Alex!
ReplyDeleteDyan din ako nanood 😄
DeleteCongrats! On to the next!
ReplyDeletewala man tayo sa FIFA, meron naman tayong inaabangan lagi sa Tennis. the whole country celebrates with you, Alex!
ReplyDeletepasok dun sa nagsabi sa kabilang thread na hype lang si Alex dahil sa backer (do you see the backer playing in the court?)
LOVE IT! PRAYING FOR YOU ALEX TO WIN GRAND SLAMS. 🙏🙏🙏
ReplyDeleteSTAY GOD FEARING HUMBLE ATHLETE.
I love how the rowdy Penoys are nowhere to be found in the crowd because this match was in Centre Court and they can't afford the tickets. And to those fake tennis fans and social climbers who can afford it, the tickets up until the finals (for Centre Court and Court 1) have already been sold so even they will not be able to get any even if they want to.
Delete12:12 i dont know which social climbers are you referring to pero grabe mo naman laitin mga kapwa mo Pilipino. it says more about you than them. maybe they worked hard and legally to buy those tickets at least hindi galjng sa tax anf pinangbili nila so let them enjoy if they are being rowdy the organizers at wimbledon wouldve asked them to leave... instead of just cheering for Alex tsk tsk tsk you managed to put negativity on such a positive occasion
Delete12:32 naku sis, masanay ka na kay Smiley. Malaki galit nyan sa kapwa nya Pinoys. Narevoke yata ang Phil passport nya kaya ganyan commente nya araw araw
DeleteMatapobreng di mayaman 1212
DeleteFirst it doen't need to be a hardcore fan to watch the game
DeletePwede rin kami mga bandwagoner
Makikihype at masaya na at proud maka cheer sa kbabayan
If a bondwagoner can afford to buy ticket from his/her own hard earn money what's wrong with that
Yes i agree with 12:32 the way you write and express it says about you. Its because you can write in english ay susyal kna .di rin
12:12 the problem is Alex herself. She encourages that from her fans. Noticed she never said anything to stop that behaviour.
Delete12:12 ANG NEGA MO KAYA NEVER KA NAGING SUCCESSFUL SA KAHIT ANONG BAGAY!
Delete12:12 kung afford mo nman why not? Hello, be thankful na makaexperience ka ng may Pinoy sa Sports na yan in our lifetime. Sana lang talaga may sumunod pa this good like Alex. I was actually hoping meron din tayong Football team in World cup. 😭
DeleteAt 12:12 hype man or social climbing, screw you. Napaka alta mo. Ikaw na. Let her supporters celebrate with her. Credit card man ang ipinambili ng ticket, just be glad they are cheering for her. Eh ikaw, ano ambag mo? Always criticizing the poor?
DeleteThat’s the comment of a bitter inggitera.
Delete12:12 kulang ba lagi sweldo mo? Usually mga ganyang tao yung mga matapobre eh. Hahaha
GTFOOH
Delete319, 💯!!! 1212, from your comment, seems you’re talking about yourself.
DeleteAng OA!!! Sure ako if andon ka na never mangyayari because you will never afford mapachill ka. so tigilan nayang mga kala mo theatre audience standard nyo. if sobrang ingay ng audiece and its been distracting players they will be warned. in general maingay mang mga pinoy so if ever one day you’re in the middle of an international crowd narerealise mong ang ingay mo. so manahimik ka!
Deleteway to go, alex! you make us proud!
ReplyDeleteindividual sports talaga tayo nageexcel esp non-height based sports. targetshooting, archery, fencing, billiards, weightlifting, gymnastics, skating, tennis, high jump even golf and etc. pag team sports sa SEA games lang tayo nananalo
ReplyDeleteSince when did we produce someone noteworthy in high jump? Baka pole vault yung sinasabi mo; they're very different sporting events.
Deletedi kasama boxing?
DeleteShe got lucky, Hindi sya kagalingan
ReplyDeleteUi te. Pinagsasabi neto. Makakarating ba yan dyan kung di magaling. Pag di magaling kahit isang panalo, di niya mapapanalo
DeleteShe has a lot to improve on. Yes, but she is special. I am a tennis fan, mag 3 decades na. Grabe yun improvement niya from last year to this year
Huuuy ang bitter teh! She already reached Round of 16. So you call all her wins against Renata, Maya and Iga pure luck? Isip din pag may time
DeleteAng sarap hampasin ng tennis racket.
Deleteetong si "she got lucky" at si "hype lang siya" commenters two peas in a pod talaga sa pagiging bitternessa
DeleteIsang pinoy na may ugaling alimango nanaman tayong namataan.
DeleteTe naman huwag mong I jinxed. Let her play. She's doing well and hope she gets to the final and actually win her first grand slam.
DeleteHave you heard the British commentator said "we know there is something special with her when we've seen her last year...also the big names are starting to fall...that is already big leap to win against no 3 and to play in week 2.
Delete12:21 NAGSALITA NA IYONG KAHIT WALA NAMAN EVER NAPATUNAYAN SA BUHAY NIYA. NA KAHIT KADUGO NIYA E SINUSUKA SIYA. KILALA KITA. HAHAHAHAHA
DeleteHuwaw naman nagsasalita nanaman mga alimango! Kapal ng mukha mo
Delete12:21 AM You don’t play tennis neither really watch tennis matches. Do you know how hard to win game by game after down A SET IN 3 SETS match. She can rally and prevail and she CAN CLOSE a match AGAINST the champ in the Centre court of one of the 4 Grand Slam. Wimbledon, the only grass court in the Grand Slam.
DeleteAnd she was gifted to be a LEFTY with powerful backhand that can match the powerful forehand of a usual righty. Meaning you have power and control in your weak backhand how much more to your power forehand as lefty and serve.
Like Pacquiao, a Southpaw that confuses a lot of Orthodox boxers.
Got it?
Filipinos need to know Tennis CULTURE, scoring, history, styles, techniques, physics why?…..we will be in for a long ride with Alex and future more.
Sa interview dun sa natalo, sabi nya it was hard to accept slow serves like Alex’s. Siguro na practice nya to receive fast serves. Di trained to receive slow serves.
Delete12:50 AM hahaha! grabe ka naman. Ala McEnroe or the Adonis Marat Safin. hampas agad. lol!
DeleteMiserable ignorant crabbie kasi.
12:21 AM She got lucky?
DeleteThis is her 2nd yr as a pro since last year she’s beating the seeded players as in top ten.
You should be happy for her. Among 110+ million filipinos one made it in the 2nd week of Wimbledon. It’s history. Hopefully she’ll grab Grand Slams. Pray up.
2:59 AM TBH I didn’t watch the match maybe Alex did slice her serve so it end up like a drop shot. Drop shot or slice is very hard to anticipate the projection of the rise of the ball on a grass court that has uneven surface to begin with unlike on hard court you can anticipate the projection of the ball from the shoulder position of the player when she hit the ball.
Delete🤣 just enjoy watching her win
She's amazing, you just can't accept it.
Delete1221, nakuha mo na gusto mo, dami nag-reply sa comment mo? O baka sadyang masama lang talaga ugali mo. I think it’s the latter.
DeleteAnd FYI, Iga is the defending champion sa Wimbledon. Why can't we all be happy for our kababayan who's placing the Philippines on the map?
DeleteNarrative ng mga di makakatapak sa Wimbledon.
Delete😂😂😂 tulog na amapalaya! Anu ba ambag mo sa world? Pathetic!
DeleteShe’s young, sure, but look at her achievements!
DeleteOA yung post speech nya
Sorry, just an observation. I love her though and I wish her the best pero let's be real lang.
Delete1:22 , 12:30 ang papait nyo. Hello! Maka OA kayo dyan.
DeletePakainin ng tennis ball
DeleteShe was interviewed and she’s overwhelmed by emotions. She explained why she’s celebrating that way. Napanood mo ba? Kaloka ka, you’re one of those crab Pinoys na never happy . Zip it
Delete12:22 & 12:30 - Mga pathetic na utak talanggka.
Deleteas expected, maraming talangka. try nyo makatalo ng defending champion abroad
DeleteANG PAPAIT NG MGA BUHAY NIYO. MAGSIKAIN KAYO NG MANGO BRAVO CAKE. GO!
Delete12:30 at 12:22 inom muna kayo ng gamot nyo kasi mukhang may tama na nman kayo. 😂 If nanay na kayo, be sure na this good yung mga anak nyo ha, kakahiya nman sa inyo. 🤣
DeleteNatakot ako when i heard her speech. Kasi it sounded like a final’s game speech. Sana naman it will not jinx her next game.
DeleteOA???? Inamin naman nya emotional sya pasenya ka na kasi emotional sya for winning in her dream grandslam court vs the defending champion. Ano ba gusto nyo? Salbahe nyo grabe
DeleteWhy can't people just not be OA, and applaud her. lahat na lang hahanapan ng mali.
DeleteAysus that's her dream.Just to play in centre court is already achievement.Winning over depending champ is another thing. If it's you guys won't you get emotional too?Wimbledon is every year so even if she will not win this year she is still young and I'm sure she'll learn a lot from this year's experience that will make her better.I HOPE ALEX WIN.I work in UK and Im proud of her that when I'm doing my rounds yesterday my residents were saying this girl is good and she's from the Philippines.GOODLUCK for Monday Alex.
DeleteThe Amazing Eala!
ReplyDeleteKahilera na nya mga greats bringing honor and prestige to Pinas i.e Diaz, Obiena, Yulo, and of course Pacquiao.
Hoping she gets into the finals!
Go girl. Congratulations.
Big congratulations Alex.
ReplyDeletewoohooo!! nakakaproud 👏🙌
ReplyDeleteFilipino audience were given a brief advice on how to be a tennis spectator. Some still couldn’t help themselves, continued to with their loud jeering while the ball is being tossed. back and forth..
I heard binigyan ng konting etiquette lessons as a tennis audience.
Delete9:59 anong pangmayaman. Nakakaloka. Ano yan concert kasi mahal. But really, you cab actually get in ng walang bayad if alam mo kung paano. May napanuod akong video nito eh. 🤣 And puti yung may Video nito
Delete3:56 200-300 POUNDS KAMO
ReplyDeleteTrue. O ayan defending champion n talo it’s part of a game u know naman pinoy pikon lagi at di know how to watch a game
DeleteBashers eat your heart out. Accent p lang ni Alex wala n kayo Go Alex always remember - ball is round
ReplyDeleteweekends is sooo good
ReplyDeleteHang galeng!
ReplyDeleteSo proud of Alex!! Even the sports commentators were obviously rooting for her!
ReplyDeleteSo inspiring Alex! Truly gifted and amazing! 👏
ReplyDeleteCongrats!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck sa next rounds which are going to be tougher.
Sana tuloy tuloy ang momentum niya.
I too celebrated with her win against the world's #3. But indeed its a premature celebration and compensation. Madami pa pala syang pagdadaanan. Anyway we just have to believe in her. Just keep on slamming AE!
