DeleteLots of snowflakes lately. While I don't find Jo Koy's jokes during the Academy Awards funny, I don't think they are offensive. Example is the joke about TS and NFL. While I am her fan, couldn't understand why she seemed annoyed about it when even her made a joke about it before during an interview.

Plus, mahirap mag-host ng awards show sa mga A-lister celebrities dahil maraming ego at sensitive diyan. Either way, okay naman ang hosting niya. Ang ibang celebrities ay sinakyan lang ang jokes niya like Robert De Niro and Meryl Streep. Ang iba naman ay masyadong seryoso sa buhay.

The awarding ceremonies used to be called the Academy Awards which i think is self explanatory. I think it is sometime in 2013 when they started calling the awards night The Oscars. 12:22 is not wrong. Jokoy indeed hosted the academy awards. You two should apologize.

Kaya nakakawalang gana talaga mga celebs na wala ni isang katiting na sense of humor sa katawan. They should get off their high horse. Sabe nga ni Ricky Gervais before: “Accept your little award, thank your agent, and your God and eff off.”

ReplyDeleteJo Koy’s mistake was he is a stranger to these people —A listers of Hollywood who know each other since when. Previous hosts were those who are already rubbing shoulders with these A listers. They know each other so they will laugh naturally —maybe even fake a laugh even if it’s not funny for the sake of being polite.
ReplyDeleteJo Koy was fed to the wolves. A host who is not friends to anyone there. If anything, maybe they thought “who is this newcomer and why is he our host?”
1:33 strongly agree kaya walang tumatanggap maging host kasi takot sila. Veterans like whoopi, steve martin etc. Naintindihan naman nila they are on jokoy's side.

Instead halata na kabado si JOKOY eh, it would have been better kahit awkward smile to be polite or like ‘cheer’… knowing Ang laki Kaya ng fan base Nya din sa pinas. But after not including PH sa tour then this one, nakakawalang gana toward TS eh. As for JOKOY, not his best but not the worst ever . But before pa sya umakyat, my minus factor na sya- a non- A lister plus from a minority group. Kaya konting toleration lang sana like all this celebrity who still show positive stuff. I’m sad also Kay Gretchen Ho, she should have known what it feels like when you are doing a poor job on the most important day of your career. Pero GH feels so woke eh.

Ang dami kong nabasa na his jokes weren't that bad galing sa netizens na hindi Pinoy. Nakakahiya na ang Pinoy naman ang hilig mag bandwagon porke't hindi natuwa si Taylor bash agad kay Jo Koy. It's a joke at kung fail ang delivery hindi kailangan siyang ibash.
