    3. Um yes. Try mo panoorin ang Euphoria teh.

      Delete
    4. Yes, magaling siya sa Euphoria.

      Delete
    5. Overhyped.

  6. No chance for her, sorry. Diversity is still lacking.

    1. Her co nominees are just really good

      Delete
    2. No chance pa rin manalo kahit ipaglaban pa yang diversity ekek. At least she got nominated but mas marami pang mas magagaling.

      Delete

      Delete
    5. Ummm panong diversity is lacking. Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Wuan, and Angela Bassett just won. Hindi pa ba diverse sayo yun? And it's a bit of improvement kasi napapasama na tayo sa mga ganitong nominations... ibig sabihin compared in the past few years mas napapansin na rin yung galing ng ibat ibang actors of different groups. That's still a progress.

    ReplyDelete
  8. ok lang, to be nominated is an honor in itself. kudos Dolly! also sooo thankful that evan peters won. ang galing niya sa Dahmer series. hindi biro ang transformation niya into such a complex character.

    1. 12:16 always ganyan naman ang roles nya e

  9. Gusto ko talaga yung The Fabelmans. Overrated naman yan si Angela, since AHS same atake lang sya.

    1. Ako naman yun ang pinaka least na gusto ko on that list.

  10. It's a huge publicity for her getting nominated she'll get a lot of offers for sure here and abroad

    1. Yes, may 2 Hollywood films na siyang gagawin :)

    2. Malaking bagay na nga na nominated siya. May agent na siya and for sure, dadami offers.

    3. You are either a veteran with a packed resume under your belt or a strong young contender. Fans/hype also boost your standing and syempre mega campaigning din. I remember Lea Salonga saying that she campaigned hard for the Tony to win - and she was 18. Interesting how the PH snub talents like the her and Christian Lagahit for years then they get cast in well known productions and get awards and our media instantly jump on to them - and the way Jacylyn Jose is given so-so projects despite being a Cannes winner.

The fact that Dolly was noticed and has her under the radar of BAFTA and Hollywood, she is appreciated there. Sana lang more imaginative roles or no change din.

      Delete

    1. I don't like her acting. Hindi ko nga like ang Spiderman eh but mandatory lang to watch Marvel films and series in order para hindi ka lost in space sa story.

      Delete
    2. she's actually revelation sya sa euphoria for me

      Delete

      Delete
    4. I agree I love Zendaya but she is overrated at times but I disagree with her performance in Euphoria, she is a revelation there, watch the scene when her mom finds she’s taking drugs again, so heartbreaking.

  12. I heard that they just needed to hype the comeback of the GG kaya nakuha si doly

    ReplyDelete

    1. What?? Di naman sikat si Dolly. Nominated sina brad pitt and si jenna ortega was there( dko alam if nominated sya). Grabe kaya sya nominated dahil magaling sya. Yun lang lahat ng nominees magagaling.

    2. San mo narinig? 12:42

      Delete
    3. Thought behind does not make sense tho - nag diversity kemerut na nga Not making contra what you heard. Don’t think Dolly was chosen as token, magaling sya.

      Delete
The fact na narecognize siya was already an achievement.

      Delete
    5. Kahit pa paano, inisip ko rin ito. Babad kasi sa SocMedia ang Pilipinas for Pinoy Pride. Remember how the Grammy's rode the wave of BTS' popularity?

      Delete
    6. Who cares at least Siya ang pinalad.

      Delete
    7. Saan mo naman narinig iyan? Sa tsismisan ng mga Pilipino?

      Delete
    8. She was actually the stand out in the Triangle of Sadness even if the film wasnt for me and carried the whole third act. There were couple of Asians who were for the supporting role (Hong Chau, Stephanie Hsu) so for her to be selected, it's not pure subjectivity. And she also won the LA Critics which is huge so deserved.

    9. Be proud nalang sis.

    10. Ang nega naman ni Anon 12:42. Magtulungan na lang tayo and learn to be happy for our countrymen. Mas masaya ito kesa maging bitter or nega.

  16. Congrats Madam! You made us proud.

  17. There’s still other three actresses aside from Ms Dolly, being a nominee was an honor already

  18. Lagi kong natutulugan ang The Banshees of Inisherin pero no doubt ang galing ni Colin Farrel

  19. To be nominated is already a win in itself.
The presenters were black, that was a hint na malamang mananalo si Bassett.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Not a fan of the Golden Globes after what they did to Brendan Fraser.
Still, congrats to Dolly for being recognized/nominated by other foreign award giving bodies.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Same thoughts here. They snobbed Brendan Fraser! Oh well there’s still the Oscars

      Delete
    2. Brendan Fraser was blacklisted by the Golden Globes after he complained of being sexually harassed by its then president of foreign press which affected his career. Kaya bigla siyang nawala. Now lang ulit nakapag comeback si Brendan after so many years.
