Yes. To someone who's not smart enough to understand his jokes. But some people find him funny. He worked hard to get to the top, never gave up on his dreams and loves his family so much even bringing them to his shows. You just can't discredit that.
Why so nega???? diba dapat happy tyo kasi meron tyo kababayan kahit paano successful sa ibang bansa. and kung nagpost man sya sa ig nya eh karapatan nmn nya un tawag doon promoting un movies and shows nya. wala nmn masama. hindi pagyayabang tawag doon. marketing.
8:19, Jo Koy did not make fun of Filipinos solely...he also made fun of other groups like Koreans, Vietnamese, Japanese, Hawaiians, Mexicans, and Blacks. No, Jo Koy is NOT racist.
Always see negative things on people. That's what you are. Why not try to be positive and think that he is just being proud of what he accomplished? Life is better if you see the good around you.
12:37 PM Others accomplish major things in their career but do not act the way he does. Annoyingly proud. Kudos to you for loving such kind of people. I don’t tolerate those kinds of narcissistic behaviors.
I follow him on ig and he just sold out Marison Square Garden and the first comedian to perform in TMobile Arena. So yeah, he’s huge! He even had Fluffy open for him on one of his latest shows. He brings his family with him which is really cool of him. And oh, I love that his ex wife, mother of his kid, is still his best friend. I’m a fan. #Skl
1:59 you mean making fun of himself, his life, the culture that he is a part of? He's always been proud of his heritage. Sensitive ka lang over nothing. You must like slapstick comedy
He was huge enough to be asked by Chelsea Handler to go on nation tv, refused, and asked to be a guest regularly. he even had a movie already. so for me he is pretty huge. all the big stars like drew barrymoore knew him and he walks awards shows. when youve reached that level of fame thats BIG. he has his own netflix shows , too. mga pinoy talaga. i find him sooo funny. watch his favebook videos.
He’s even more amazing live. He makes fun of Filipinos because he is one of us kahit halfie sya. He grew up in a Filipino household with our values as part of his upbringing. He knows the stereoypical Filipino family cause he is a part of one and proud of his heritage. To some who spews negativity towards this guy, either hindi kaya ng sense of humor initindihin jokes nya or talagang Pinoy ka and you have this so-called “Crab Mentality”.
So ok Pinoy sya kuno when he makes jokes about our culture, and he makes a punchline out of his mother, but where is he when it comes to the things that matter? Where does he stand then? Filipino lang ba siya when it serves him? Yun lang naman tanong ko :)
What stand teh? He lives in the Unites States alangan naman makisawsaw siya sa mga issues ng Pilipinas. He's a comedian, yes he makes fun of Filipinos because these are his experience.
First time we watched in US , it's fine naman. Then with friends the 2nd time. Pero pansin ko the 3rd time recycle na Po Ang joke niya, paulit ulit na lang at medyo mababaw na. Not funny anymore. I'm not wondering bakit flopped Yung movie niya.
Porke Jokoy made it, di na pwedeng mag apply ng critical analysis? Basta successful Pinoy, kailangan always great? Just as bad as...kailangan always subpar. Be objective, that's it.
He’s overrated
ReplyDeleteI think he deserves what he's getting.
Delete12:35: let's go mga talangka!!!
DeleteYes. To someone who's not smart enough to understand his jokes. But some people find him funny. He worked hard to get to the top, never gave up on his dreams and loves his family so much even bringing them to his shows. You just can't discredit that.

DeleteBaka di nyo lang gets jokes nya kasi English? Lol
DeleteWhy so nega???? diba dapat happy tyo kasi meron tyo kababayan kahit paano successful sa ibang bansa. and kung nagpost man sya sa ig nya eh karapatan nmn nya un tawag doon promoting un movies and shows nya. wala nmn masama. hindi pagyayabang tawag doon. marketing.
He's very entertaining.
DeleteIm proud of Jokoy.
Delete8:19, Jo Koy did not make fun of Filipinos solely...he also made fun of other groups like Koreans, Vietnamese, Japanese, Hawaiians, Mexicans, and Blacks. No, Jo Koy is NOT racist.
DeleteThis guy is so full of himself. Pa humble brag always on his Instagram posts/stories.
ReplyDeleteAlways see negative things on people. That's what you are. Why not try to be positive and think that he is just being proud of what he accomplished? Life is better if you see the good around you.
DeleteI beg to disagree. We watched his show in SF once. We were able to meet him afterwards. He’s warm and friendly in person.
Delete12:37 PM Others accomplish major things in their career but do not act the way he does. Annoyingly proud. Kudos to you for loving such kind of people. I don’t tolerate those kinds of narcissistic behaviors.
Delete3:52 "I don't tolerate those..." Isn't this narcissistic too? Baka ikaw 'yung narc... except sya kasi sikat ikaw hindi
DeleteHe has to be proud.Konti lang Pilipino ang kumakabog sa Hollywood. They are still racist out there.
Delete7:39 iba ang pride sa narcissist
DeleteLike simple pero may dating
ReplyDeleteIm just curious how big is this man internationally? Is he considered an A lister in Holiwood?
ReplyDeleteI follow him on ig and he just sold out Marison Square Garden and the first comedian to perform in TMobile Arena. So yeah, he’s huge! He even had Fluffy open for him on one of his latest shows. He brings his family with him which is really cool of him. And oh, I love that his ex wife, mother of his kid, is still his best friend. DeleteBig? Sure. Pero Hindi A-lister.
DeleteHe’s huge by making fun of Filipinos…
DeleteMaybe not an A lister but he is well-known
Delete1:59 sus ibang lahi fin make fun of their own kalahi. it’s comedy. have some sense of humor
DeleteDefinitely not an A lister.
DeleteSold out mga shows nya as in arenas, diko magets ang hype
DeleteWe watched him at T Mobile Arena in Las Vegas last month. Sold out with 20,000 capacity. There are a lot of non Filipinos in the audience.
DeleteHe's well known here in the US. Nag-aappear sya sa mga popular shows, sold out mga shows nya.
DeleteYes he's huge in terms of stand up comedy. That says a lot!
DeleteHe is invited to Hollywood gatherings with the A list crowd.
Delete1:59 you mean making fun of himself, his life, the culture that he is a part of? He's always been proud of his heritage. Sensitive ka lang over nothing. You must like slapstick comedy
Sana yung body of text nilagay sa kanan.
Visually, this makes more sense. Your idea doesn't.
DeleteYour suggestion doesn't even makes sense. Even Stevie Wonder won't suggest to put it in the right side because the space is too narrow for the text.
DeleteCorny. Hindi nakakatawa
ReplyDeleteGrabe, ang dami nega. English kasi salita nya kaya siguro hindi nyo ma-appreciate
DeleteAng overrated nito ako lang to OK wag maki alam
DeleteHe was huge enough to be asked by Chelsea Handler to go on nation tv, refused, and asked to be a guest regularly. he even had a movie already. so for me he is pretty huge. all the big stars like drew barrymoore knew him and he walks awards shows. when youve reached that level of fame thats BIG. he has his own netflix shows , too. mga pinoy talaga. i find him sooo funny. watch his favebook videos.

To some who spews negativity towards this guy, either hindi kaya ng sense of humor initindihin jokes nya or talagang Pinoy ka and you have this so-called “Crab Mentality”.
ReplyDeleteOk sya as solo comedian pero yung first movie nya flop.
ReplyDeleteThat movie was not entertaining at all. Yes, I’ve seen it. Napaka OA
DeleteDaming inggit ; naku don’t worry you envious will not matter to his millions of USD and fame.
ReplyDeleteI like him he is funny
ReplyDeleteRacist daw mga jokes nya, dito sa US wlang nag iisip nyan. Alamin ang meaning ng racist bago bitawan.
ReplyDeleteHindi yan racist when hes talking about his own race.Mga araw araw na experience niya just like other stand up comedians.
DeleteSo ok Pinoy sya kuno when he makes jokes about our culture, and he makes a punchline out of his mother, but where is he when it comes to the things that matter? Where does he stand then? Filipino lang ba siya when it serves him? Yun lang naman tanong ko :)
ReplyDelete1:37 every comedian makes punchlines of what they relate to. Cancelled na ang comedy sa snowflake culture.
DeleteWhat stand teh? He lives in the Unites States alangan naman makisawsaw siya sa mga issues ng Pilipinas. He's a comedian, yes he makes fun of Filipinos because these are his experience.
Who are you to demand that of him? Hes an entertainer based in the US.Stand up Comedy!
DeleteFirst time we watched in US , it's fine naman. Then with friends the 2nd time. Pero pansin ko the 3rd time recycle na Po Ang joke niya, paulit ulit na lang at medyo mababaw na. Not funny anymore. I'm not wondering bakit flopped Yung movie niya.
ReplyDeleteOverhyped. Cringey. Nag try ako manood sa Netflix. Di ko gets mga jokes nya. Na stress pa ako. Lalo yung about sa Mom. Ewan
ReplyDeleteOK siya, but not great. Lots of culture-dependent jokes like yung vicks. Pag di mo alam na panay ang gamit ng vicks ng mga pinoy, it's not funny.
ReplyDelete9:27 but every comedian uses stereotypes from their culture
DeleteSobra ang iba dito. Porke Jokoy made it, di na pwedeng mag apply ng critical analysis? Basta successful Pinoy, kailangan always great? Just as bad as...kailangan always subpar. Be objective, that's it.
