  1. I don't believe it was unintentional. It matched the previous speech almost word for word, even how the speech was delivered was in sync with the original.

    1. Ms. Hugo should file a complaint against Ayen. Hindi pwedeng baliwalain lang ang plagiarism issue.

    2. You kinda have to wonder now kung plagiarized yung speech nya, what else did he plagiarize? Essays, reports, etc....

  2. Nagsorry na ba yun copier?

    1. Yes at ang sagwa ng apology nya

    2. At unintentional daw??

This is so inappropriate. Parang "sorry not sorry" attitude lol

  3. Not enough. Lahat ng compositions and projects nya from first to fourth year dapat imbestigahan kung karapat-dapat bang magna cum laude yan o magnanakaw ng ideya. May napanood ako noon the student was stripped of her awards dahil nangopya ng idea na walang paalam. Though pinagraduate naman.

    1. 6:46 hindi OA ang tawag dun. Surely wala kang alam sa intellectual property rights. Ultimong pictures nga di mo basta pwede irepost ng walang pahintulot ng owner. Or at least give credit to the owner na naghirap sa idea

  4. Plagiarism is unintentional???

  6. Schools in the Philippines should be more strict kasi when it comes to plagiarism.

  7. I think copying is always intentional.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Hindi yun unintentional. Parehong pareho

  10. This is a poorly written statement, both in form and in substance. Yikes.

  11. "UNINTENTIONALLY COPYING"

Sure ba kayo sa wording nyo?
    Intentional talaga na kinopya PERIOD

My gosh no excuses dapat just apologize!

  12. UNTINTENTIONALLY??lol.wag nga kami🙄

  13. Such a poorly worded statement coming from a supposed educational institution. Nakakahiya.

  14. Unintentional pero halos word for word. Lol.

  16. Tanong ko lang sa mga matatalino dyan na nagdeliver dati ng valedictory speech - did the school admin reviewed first and then approved your speech? If not - then the school is not culpable in this fiasco. But should the speech be reviewed first? Baka it differs w/ each school?

    1. Review*

To answer your question, oo nirereview and inaapprove. Kung matatandaan mo years back there was a valedictorian na hindi inapprove ang speech pero tinuloy pa din nya. It became an issue din.

      Delete
    2. Yes, nirereview ng admin yung sa amin. Not sure with other schools but dapat part of the process yan. Yung iba ngang schools nirerehearse pa pati delivery ng speech.

      Delete
    3. No, because they taught us the gravity of plagiarism as soon as we entered: shame and academic suicide.

    4. kahit nga speech ng anak kong valedictorian nung elementary ni review, highschool or college pa kaya

      Delete
    5. So what could have happened?

      Delete
  17. How about no? Tama yung mga commenters dito, poorly made yung response coming from a school. They should take strict corrective measures on this one. Valedictorian yan ah, tapos he would get away with it ng ganyan lang? Girl, bye.

  18. This is the school's official statement? Seryoso? I worry for their students and the standards for excellence an institution should be following. Also LOL at "intentionally copying", define kunsintidor

    ReplyDelete
  19. "Ay sorry di sinadya magnakaw" in other words. Is that what you and your student is saying? Walang sense sa totoo lang. A non apology is you'd ask me. While indeed soc med can be harsh, malala naman talaga yung offense and the non apology made it even worse.

    ReplyDelete
  20. It wasn't unintentional. It's obviously intended. Pinalitan lang yung courses mentioned. But the others, pareho. Also, yung way ng pagdedeliver eh ginaya tapos yung apology nya more on palusot lol

    ReplyDelete

They make excuses, play the "victim, justify, pass the blame, etc. Ang sincere na apology is you own up to the mistake, accept the consequences and vow never to commit the same mistake again.

  23. mas

  24. yung bata ba tlg ang may kagagawan? most of the time, teachers provide the speeches to be memorized by students. that was my case when I gave my speech (and the kids before and after our time)… kahit gusto ko sana yung ako yung gumawa because why not, right? pero i was forbidden to do so… balak ko to go rogue on the day itself but i wont be valedictorian kundi ako rule follower maxado… so yeah, natakot ako na mahirapan sa clearance… and it wasnt our school lang, pati yung mga neighboring schools in our district… so yeah… sino kaya tlg?

      Delete
  25. Unintentional? Yeah, right. Keep telling that to yourselves.

    ReplyDelete
Unintentional your face!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Unintentionally?!?! Paano po un? Habang gingawa nya yung speech nya, may ibang nagsulat? Or nasulat ng hangin? Paki explain po.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  29. There is no such thing as unintentionally copying. If you copy something or someone you have the intention and desire to do it. You have that in mind and then you put it into action, so aling part don ang unintentional?

    ReplyDelete
  30. may katabing thesaurus nagsulat nitong statement

    ReplyDelete
  31. Stop this. Dont be too hard on the kid. Yes he made mistakes but forgive and let go. Isn’t that how most filipinos are known for, easily forgives and forgets? Look at the people we elected to govt, they are thieves but we still adore them. We used to be one of the most admired nation now we are laughing stock.

    1. He’s not a “kid.” He’s an adult who needs to face the consequences of his actions.

    2. Yuck kunsintidor.

  32. The institution has ‘unintentionally’ gave a flowery but creative statement to the valedictorian who created this whirlwind.
The word gap sa second paragraph should be gaffe. They forgot to edit and reread the statement released. Yet again 🙄🙄

  33. sa totoo lang damaged has been done. nakakahiya yung nag speech at pinahiya ang buong eskwelahan.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Kaila pa naging unintentional ang pangongopya lol ano yun nakita nya lang sa internet yung video and hindi sinasadya na word for word identical ang speech nya? Plagiarism is a crime. In other countries, that student will be stripped of academic achievements and even expelled. Plagiarism is theft.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Unintentional pero kopyang kopya talaga. Dapat palitan yung valedictorian. Ipalit yung sumunod sa kanya hahaha

    ReplyDelete
  36. how was it unintentional? parang "ay nakopya ko pala..." ?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Mahilig naman talaga mangopya ang Pinoy. Kaway kaway sa scriptwriters, fashion designers, Tv producers etc.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Unintentional copying? Patawa ang school na to. Ejujustify pa eh. Or baka kasi sila gumawa ng speech di kaya?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Echusera itong school.Wag kami teh.Maliwanag na kinopya yan.

    ReplyDelete

  41. Maybe he thought he could get away with it. Not knowing someone would take a video and post it online. Sad.
